Hi Emily! Yes girl!! That guilt makes you feel horrible but I am learning to accept my mess of mental illness and keep doing the best I can. We have good days and weeks etc and so when those bad ones show up and we cant keep up with it all then we just need to go with it and know it will eventually pass and we will get back up again when its gone! At least thats how I roll!🤣 No need to compare ourselves to the vain and fake of this mother culture. Its all bullshit! At least we are strong enough to own our mess!🤣 Always here for ya girl! Stay Mighty!🤎🙏💪😘

What keeps me coming back to your videos is your countertop messes and how real it is. So many times I see videos that talk about extreme mess and they have like 2 dishes on the counter. I click away at that point already because mine looks like yours right now and it is motivating to see someone who struggled like I am currently. Thank you for your inspiring videos.

I need this. I don’t have any children. I have depression and adhd and my bedroom is trashed. I’m sleeping on the floor because my bed is covered by clothes and clutter I send my laundry out it saves me laundry money and I get everything back folded already. I’m the student in my family.

Thank you for being genuine. This is so common. I was a military spouse for 16 years, with three young children. My husband was gone for at least 6 months a year. I battled depression, so I was constantly playing catch up. I often felt inferior to other mothers until I found out that we were all in the same boat but in different ways. I had to remember that being the best Mom I could be was the most important thing. Some days it was just sitting down and having a tea party with my girls in a dirty living room. My children are adults now, but they tell me that all they remember was having fun with me and being happy. That made me cry with relief when I heard that. Thank you for sharing the truth.

yes MAMA! This makes me so happy to hear! Sorry It's taken me sooo sooo long to respond. I honestly cannot keep up with all of the comments but I appreciate you being here and I am so happy that my video has helped you. I had horrible postpartum depression after each of my babes. It lasted 2 years with each. I was in the worst depression fog and it made me feel like such a failure when I had zero energy to clean my house. I will tell you that listening to contemporary Christian music like Lauren Daigle and songs like "HOLY WATER" pulled me from the pits of hell and I am in no way pushing religion here. I honestly want to share the one thing that helped me to see clearly. It was really God! And I danced with my baby to those songs multiple times a day. It filled our hearts with so much happiness and laughter. Even the rooms seemed brighter and after days passed I felt a heaviness lifting from me and I felt more rested and at ease. I was then feeling more natural energy and I took advantage of this by cleaning my house and once it was clean I sulked in the clean spaces and felt to invigorated by my hard work and in turn it helped me feel like a better mom and wife and I started to feel less depressed. This is when I realized the enemy is truly depression and anxiety. If we allow ourselves to sit in it then we will only sink deeper. Through God, God's music and my strong will I managed to pull out of the black hole of depression and I vowed to never go back that deep again! You can do this too! Just being here shows how strong you are compared to your depression so never give up and never allow the enemy to steal your joy and your precious moments with your true gift from God! xo Stay Mighty and God bless!

Sorry so long before reply. This is so true. Physical pain can definitely play a role in poor mental health. However, the opposite is also true. The mind can stop you from feeling so much physical pain. Try to escape to mental spaces that bring you joy and happiness. I guarantee your pain will not be felt during these escapes. Then take advantage of the endorphins you have released during your happy mental escape and use this good energy to get once small mess cleaned up. I know this will only leave you with more and more happy feelings and it continues on and on. Stay Mighty! I am praying for your pain to go away forever! God bless! xo

I am a 67 year old woman retired teacher with a 62 year old retired hubs. Our kids and grandkids live out of state. I have had chronic Bipolar for 35 years. I take meds, see a psychiatrist, and sleep as much as I can. I also have Diabetes. My hubs and I do a good job of keeping a clean and tidy townhouse. But we had clutter in closets and under all the sinks, linen closet. Your declutter videos motivate me. Thank you. Try to make it a priority to clean kitchen and dishes after main meals. It will give you a breath of fresh air and help with the depression. Take 10 minutes in each room to tidy a little. I know you have kids but just get into your cleaning groove a little most every day. Our daughter has five kids. They just moved into a new house and she finally keeps a pretty clean home. If we can do it, you can too! Keep up the videos and the decluttering! Your friend Shane

Use oven cleaner on your stove. Spray it and let it sit for a while. Do something else. Come back and all the grease and food particles wipe cleanly away. I follow with a little hot soapy water to remove any residue. No scrubbing or scraping required. Works like a charm.

I just found your channel and this video resonates for me. I'm a mama who struggles with anxiety & depression and I often lose myself in everything. My husband wonders how I get through stuff and all I can tell him is I just put myself into a survival mode. I somehow shut-in my emotions to make sure laundry is done, dishes are washed, I ready myself for my job every day, I drive kids to sports & dance after work and school... but then I break down when the emotions are just too much.... my house turns into a total disaster with stuff everywhere, dog hair covering the floor, overflowing laundry baskets, bathrooms needing a major overhaul.... Thank you for this video!! ❤

You really are an inspiration ✨️ I have been in this episode of my depression for about a month now. I'm starting to feel better each day. Today is 70% better than the last month so I'm tackling my house today. I've done the basics everyday just to survive but not what my house needs. I have tried to spend most of my time during this depression episode with my kids and husband. But this time around I found myself really separating myself from my kids and Mt husband. I wouldn't sit with them I would go in another room all day it seemed. I'm breaking it today!!!!!!!

Caity. Im so sorry your feeling down today. I have read somewhere that when our bodies and minds shut down from even our loved ones it is the universe telling us to spend that time alone so we can truly focus on what our mind and body needs. We are social creatures by nature but one thing I find I struggle with to the point of oanicnattack is being alone. I want to feel more confident and content with being alone. Our soul needs this quiet and internal recovery. It is your time to rest and recover to be able to take it all on again once that internal natural energy returns. It will return! We see this rrst sometimes as a depressive episode when all it may be is the natural way of healing. Try to take solice in your wanting to be alone instead of thinking something bad is happening or there is something wrong. Listen to your soul and refuse to listen to the enemy who is trying to decieve you. You are normal for getting tired and need rest for long periods at times. You are normal for not wanting ro be around others energies. The mom guilt is the enemy. Dont allow it in. You are being a good mom when you take that time for yourself. And not worry about the mess and not want to hear the voices (sometimes annoying voices) of our little sweet babes🤪🤣 . You are a Mama with depression and majority of the tine you fighting through, showing up every second, doing for wveryone else but you! So go be alone and feed your soul and recharge your spirit to do it all again when you are ready! Just Never Give Up! This is the journey of life! We go through phases but as long as we come back stronger we are winning! I am always here for you. And if you need reach out over on IG @mighty.mama I am happy to chat!♡ sometimes we just need a friend to talk to. Stay Mighty Mama! You are so loved!♡💪🙏✝️

All I can say is God bless you for being real and for showing me and other people that suffer with anxiety terrible anxiety motivation you are one of the most real people and I've told you this before that I have seen on this channel any channel I know that you are going to bless a lot of people including myself who struggles with terrible anxiety and getting my own house clean I've always prided myself and being a very clean person. And when I lost my husband 13 years ago the love of my life my anxiety really kicked in and then most recently lost my father so my house is a disaster and I'm trying to motivate myself to get started it's been difficult. But your channel really does inspire me to get up and do. And the fact is that I have a cleaning business and I do this every day for a living I know that my motivation there is to support my son so I know I have to work but I also want to come home to a clean house of my own. So thank you so much for your videos as they are such a blessing as you are thank you for targeting those special people and when I say special I mean God special people that suffer with this on a daily basis you are a true true blessing I can't say it enough keep doing what you're doing you are making a difference not only in my life but I'm sure others.

Thank you for telling me it's ok to be a mommy first and clean house second. It's so hard for me to relax when I know there's a mess. I was going to be off work for 3 days and my plan was to clean house get some rest and sip some wine. But my little boy got sick, was up all night with him cleaning puke, and trying to fix something quick for supper. So this 3 day off of work didn't go as plan but I just needed some motivation and empathy from somewhere

Oh Amber, I can totally relate. It's what we will always do... Put our little ones first before everything. I tell myself the same "a tidy house 24/7 means I haven't spent time with my little boy". There will always be cleaning. We only get these precious moments with our kids before they grow up. I have anxiety, fibromyalgia and depression. I spent 4 days nursing my little boy and staying awake all night, then I went down ill myself for a month. Being a mom first is the most important thing.

I learned long ago that cleaning is like having kids. If you wait until a good time, there will never be a good time. Cleaning has to happen for things to go smoothly or life gets extra crappy 😂 I work full time outside the home and it's super challenging to find enough hours in the day. I just get done what I can, and try not to sit down lol. So I just go go go until 9ish. My kids deserve a clean, happy home so that's what I think about when I have zero motivation! Which is often 😂

I have adult children and it overwhelms me that I’m the only one that does most of the cleaning in this house. My kitchen looks exactly like yours messy. I get it all clean one day and the rest of the week, a few things get done here and there. I work part time outside the house. During the week, I drive my daughter to school and to her work on weekends. I like your videos because I feel less anxiety while cleaning.

Thank you for all your videos. I am a Mum of three (just 7, almost 6 and 20 months) and I suffer from depression, anxiety and PTSD. I got pneumonia before Xmas and then in January my kids brought home Covid from school and I am just feeling well enough to start tackling my horror of a house. I always tell myself ‘progress not perfection’. So every day I just need to get it a bit tidier and cleaner and just make sure it doesn’t get worse. I work full time outside the home so I don’t get a lot of time so I set a timer for 15 minutes in the evening once the kids are in bed and that is my ‘progress time’, so I try to tackle one corner of a room or one counter top and then in the normal day that corner needs to keep picked up. My husband tackles another spot (he is out the house 13 hrs a day). It may take a LONG time for my husband and I to get it sorted but we will get there.

This has just been a rough year of sickness! I am currently sick with a nasty cold and chest cold. Now my oldest just came home from school sick too. I am glad you are feeling better! Yes! Its all about progress! Perfection is impossible and I am done chasing that pipe dream! 🤣 Keep going! You got this! Thank you so much for being here! It means more than you will ever know.🙏🥰🤎

Its comforting knowing there are other women like me but also makes me sad that other people are experiencing what I am too. I'm so beyond tired of the back and forth with my house. I'm so tired of having to exhaust myself cleaning because I let it get so bad! I'm hoping after today (I'm deep cleaning a ton) I can keep up with it better. Its so hard to snap out of your funk & realize your kids have been playing in food crumbs & mess. It sucks but we are not alone!

I can so relate to your video. I’m 50 and my fiance has health problems so all of the cleaning is on me. I have manic depression and anxiety and I’m ocd. Although I’m ocd I get overwhelmed by the mess then get depressed because everything is messy, it’s like an endless cycle. I lost my mother in July and the grief really hit me hard so everything got behind. I’ve paid people to clean for me with the mindset, if it gets done I can keep it clean but it ends up back in a mess. I still work and have to do all the grocery shopping and errands etc. thanks for the realness in your videos. It helped me to not feel so alone.

I am so happy to be here for you and always will be! Anxiety is a struggle but it is possible to curb it even on the hardest days. I have learned that keeping my stress levels low always keeps me in better days. I shared a video on natural ways to reduce anxiety and panic attacks. Look for it and maybe you will find some things to help in your bad days. I know this world is uncertain but you must remember that you are a child of God and he walks beside you through it all. Just call on him for comfort and peace when you need it. He will relieve you if you believe. Stay Mighty!♡💪🙏✝️

Sending you big hugs and lots of love! You are not alone! And we are all here for you Sis! Stay Mighty! You are rocking that Motherhood! My last is going to start a preschool program in a week and I have mixed feelings about it so I can relate to exactly where you are. We are doing the right thing! We are Mama and we go with our gut! We know what is best for our children. If you feel he is not cut out for public school you can always home school. I will never close that option for my kids. The social is so good for them though. My son is wanting to be with ither kids his age sooo bad and one morning church group a week is just not enough so I opted in for preschool since they lifted masks. If the masks come back then he comes back home with me! You should feel so proud of yourself for pushing through your sadness and cleaning the mess! Having this time to ourselves and to focus in our the home will help us be happy Mamas and women in general. Its just an adjustment that requires time to feel comfortable again. Every change is difficult especially if you live with anxiety, OCD and depression or any one of those alone. I am always here for you Toya! We all are! Stay Mighty!💪🤎🙏

Great video. I’ve been where you are and now my kids are grown there is plenty of time for cleaning - enjoy them while they are little. My best tip is pretty boring - small tasks EVERY day even 2 minutes during commercial breaks. Huge projects are so draining when you are low but cleaning one drawer and getting rid of junk is therapeutic. No Marie Kondo ‘get everything out’ organisation’s work when depressed- little and often. ❤️❤️❤️

I lived like this for absolute YEARS ! I am now (since this past January) an entirely different person due to the right meds! They put me on antipsychotics and a stimulant for my adhd and I now walk 2-3 miles every or every other day , I lost 35 lbs Was forced to quit drinking them damn white claws (they do NOT pair well w the meds 😖) and I am seriously 100% caught up EVERy single night on dishes laundry and laughs !! Everyone around me changed when they saw me changing and ya I suggest anyone reading this do not give up or loose faith , give your fears and worries to God , ask Him for help and get you a doctor that treats dual diagnosis or otherwise! Just do it and get diagnosed / prescribed something! 💓

Hello Nancy! Thank you so much for your love and support! I love helping others through my videos. I wish I could be everywhere for everyone ro help inside their homes. I would do that even while myne is a mess.🤣 I am a helper by nature. Always been. It gives me natural energy to be needed and helping. 🤎 I also have ADD and I understand the over stumulation from the mess too. This will sometimes cause me to feel super anxious while cleaning and to the point it makes me feel nauseous and dizzy. I hate when that happens. My goal here is to eventually have a homes that clean and tidy always. I am seeing improvement in my overall mental health as I am declutterring recently. New video starts up decluttering again. Will be up next saturday! I appreciate you being here for me! It helps me mentally more than you will ever know!♡ Thank you! Thank you!😘🙏
