REAL LIFE Campervan Tour After 2 Years of Use (Toyota Estima Emina Minivan)
In the two years since publishing my first video tour ( • Campervan Tour: Toyota... ) of this 1995 Toyota Estima Emina “X” minivan campervan, I added some new features and thought I’d give you a real life look at how I actually used it during a camping trip with 2 people.
This campervan was sold in early 2022, so I no longer own it.
Some unique features:
-sunroof AND moonroof with custom magnetic moonroof bug screen, so you can sleep under the stars!
-4-wheel drive (4WD)
-automatic transmission with overdrive
-upgraded radio that connects to Bluetooth, USB, or auxiliary cable (headphones)
-custom-fitted thermal insulated blackout curtains
-4 clotheslines inside
-built-in kitchen
-portable toilet (since removed)
-secret compartments

Enjoy NZ! Living the true backpacker life. Seen so many estima camper converts whilst out there. Great van, spacious and generally reliable when looked after
Wow, very nicely done ✔️ 👏... Very patient and detailed with recording too.
Very well organized! Cheers from Alabama, USA!!
great info - useful practical info for me thanks - just purchased 1992 previa in U.S.
I'm very close to buying a Toyota Previa here in the USA. the only one I can find in good condition without 1 million miles on it, doesn't have the sun/moon roofs unfortunately. But I may still pick it up. The other option are imported Estima from Japan, but they are more expensive and occasionally have quite a bit of rust on the undercarriage.
Awesome 👍... Enjoy.. Thank you for sharing ❤️
Check oil a lot, I have the same car but with a spun bearing.Oil often leaks thru the distributor and requires a new o ring. Also valve cover gasket.

Mine does have a slow oil leak, but it is so slow that after months of owning it, the oil was still near the max level.
Great tour!!

Thanks! Sadly I just sold it and I am leaving New Zealand. But maybe I will buy another campervan in another country soon. 🙃

Yes! The Toyota Estima is the Japanese version of the Previa that was sold in North America. I read the Estima is slightly smaller than the Previa to circumvent some sort of Japanese vehicle taxation law that taxed vehicles over a certain size. When I was 16, I actually learned to drive on my parents' 1990s Toyota Previa in the US, and then I ended up owning it’s cousin as a campervan in New Zealand!
just come across this video
i now own this van
Where is the power button to open / close the moon glass slide roof panel situated?
You mentioned you used to have a chemical toilet. What do you use now, and where? Just wondering how others handle that part of van life. .We have a small port a potty that can be used inside if need be, but most times we pop up the little changing tent and place it there..

Yeah, I did several times. And washed the window. Still wouldn’t stay up. But I sold the van so it doesn’t matter now.
Best campers

Break down quickly. Hard to find parts. If you're living in a van, truck, camper you need it to be dependable and safe

@@justicewatch3916 that's the opposite of what I have heard. And the used models I see for sale around where I live usually have 300~400k + miles on them. I'm not going to buy one with that many miles, but it bodes well for their longevity.
Is this car Toyota previa
