Real-Life - $200 Amazon Supmix 6210 Generic 20" 60cc Chainsaw Build and Test Run
Ғылым және технология
We had a storm around here that did a lot of property damage in the area, lots of trees down , broken fence, in my case. Anyway, chainsaws and generators became the wanted commodity over here, so I've purchased both. In this video you will see the unboxing, assembly, fill, and test run of a generic "20 60cc chainsaw. I needed something quick and effective for cutting down my broken fence posts and getting them ready for disposal. Let's see how things went in this video.

1. You probably know this, but maybe some of the viewers do not. Right at the tip of the chain blade there's a little hole that has to be greased with a grease gun. They sell one for about 7.99 exactly for this purpose. You have to fill it with grease until it oozes out from underneath the chain. 2. When you put the orange cover on the blade chain plate, you have to make sure the chain adjustment protrusion goes into the hole of the chain blade.. Otherwise it will not adjust. 3. Just found out putting oil in it is not enough. There is a screw underneath the chainsaw (hard to find) that disperses how much oil is going onto the chain. They recommend running at medium speed to make sure there is oil flicking off the chain so it is sufficiently lubricated. 4. Don't know how they come up with the name Supmix. I would've named it Woodsman. Or maybe after a shark since it has teeth Great White, Orca, etc.

Thank you for the detailed comment, I appreciate it. I'm going to adjust my chainsaw as per the details in your comments. Thanks again. Yes, Supmix is a strange name for a chainsaw lol. J

Not many videos on this saw. Thanks for posting. I like mine so far. I noticed yours does the same as mine. The chain brake won't hold the chain if you give it some gas. I don't think that is the way these chain brakes are supposed to work so just be cautious of that.

I agree with you 100%. A couple weeks ago I specifically tried to trouble shoot that issue, not luck, so I'll be careful.
How is it that with all my searching for videos of this exact chainsaw, only now, after trying to start it and failing, am I coming across your video. Ill be trying again tomorrow and Ill be using this for reference. Thank you.

It can be tricky to start. Start with the choke out, when you pull the cord and it feels like it almost catches and starts...as soon as you feel that, put the choke back in, pull again and it should start on the first , or second pull. Make sure the choke is in after that first pull where it feels like it is almost going to start. Good luck!
I have the same saw, works well, only issue is the kill switch was faulty on mine.

Yeah, I have had the saw for a year now and still works fine. Overall a good deal and a nice tool to have around the house. If say after a year, well worth it. Thanks for your comment btw. J
Is the saw still holding up and working properly
Little screw driver is for carb adjustment

Ack. Thanks for letting me know. Much appreciated.
Does anyone have a good suggestion for a replacment chain. I cant seem to find a good name brand one.
what is behind the lens by the throttle lock
My saw works excellent. Purchased mine in June of 22. Only issue is I find the chain is of poor quality. I recommend replacing with a Stihl or Husqvarna brand chain.

That's a great comment and I'll do that too. Seems like Home Depot in my area stock those brands. Yeah, I'm not disappointed at all. We had a major storm in my area in May 22, trees, fences were knocked over and chainsaws were required, plus generators for 6 days. Now I'm all set for next time. Cheers.

How many drive links and pitch did you get for a new chain??
Can you use old use motor oil for bar chain lube?

It doesn't say that you can or can't . For me personally, I'd use clean motor oil and not worry about it , but chain saw oil is a bit thicker and with that won't fly away off the chain as much as Motor oil would.

I was going to say the same thing😂
I’ve had mine for over two years and it’s a great chainsaw for the price. Will keep it till it dies. Things I’ve found with it. 1. On a hot day it’ll over heat and not want to start sometimes even though I have adjusted the carb. 2.I noticed it doesn’t like cheap bar oil. I found husq all season bar oil works best. Overall love the little beast. I think I’m going to try putting a bigger bar on it (maybe 24in) and see how it handles.
