It's so serene, must be the relief those two officers standing outside feel since they successfully avoided whatever haunting things could've happened in there.

The new main menu is fucking phenomenal. What a mood it creates.

POV: You're staring at the menu waiting for your friends to hop on discord

to me it really captures the feeling of wanting to do good but fearing what harm it may do to you, reflecting on the better parts of your life as if to prepare yourself in the event you don't make it home

This is like something from Blade Runner. So beautiful.

fitting, because if you soak in all of the little details of the game, los suenos is pretty much a dystopian cyberpunk world wrought with mass poverty, natural disasters, corruption of city officials and mass privatization the only thing missing is cool futuristic tech to further 'improve' the quality of life

Also I think the time line set in the game is like....the late 2020's. Not far off now. But still kinda in the future.

This reminds me of Heat so much. You look at the menu, and you feel it right the first time. That "urban fairytale" setting, that peace amidst the cold, uncaring concrete. Damn. I wish Cyberpunk got a Heat inspired second expansion.

I think what makes this game truly stand out is that it gives the action room to breathe, compared to other shooters/action games on the market, especially in the FPS scene, where it isn't in a rush to get to the next piece of action, or the next setpiece, instead it puts as much emphasis on the silence as much as the action, and I think it works in the game's favor, making the action sequences feel that much more viseral because of it. i think that "silent" part of the game is reflected in this song the most. that lull in the action, the silence that sticks just long enough to allow you to reflect on everything you've seen or been through up to that point, or both. it pulls it off in a way that I haven't really seen in any other game, except maybe SWAT 4. That's what makes this game so great, in my opinion.

Kind of reminds me of The Division 2 a bit. Just exploring the open world then suddenly some subtle track would start playing, bringing a sense of wonder to the world. Awesome music!

for me its less of pride, and more like they're trying their best to make the situation at the very least a bit more safe. lore shows that the police force is heavily understaffed and defunded, so the vibe im getting from the music is being fully immersed in a world of horror, so more than being proud of their (honestly kinda futile) efforts, they're just happy they're alive, even if that entails seeing more and more inhuman horrors each day. dont wanna sound like the usual "le cop bad", not what im tryna say, but it really does feel more like a strive to survival rather than "we gone fix this city"

@@pisca6496I kind of sympathise the cops who are in that kind of position: those who wanted to do good for society but aren't able to and instead try to survive day by day. Because if it's not the street thug, drug smuggler, or any kind of criminal that had to be dealt with, it's the fellow policemen who're only in it for themselves.
