The period from a show car to the series production vehicle: We accompanied the ID. Buzz development, and the people who created it, for nearly two years. We were there when the first cars had been hand-crafted in the prototype shop at Volkswagen in Osnabrück for test purposes, and during the following endurance tests in hot and cold weather. We met the interior and exterior designers and the people who will assemble the ID. Buzz in the future.
The ID. Buzz connects the Volkswagen Bus series with the ID. family, and forms the bridge from the past into the future. It also represents a new era of mobility at Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles - fully electric and as of 2025 even autonomous.

If you think of the classic VW T1 the wheels have a chrome wheel cap in the middle, it looks like a curved mirror with a VW symbol in the middle. So when you look at the wheel at timestamp 16:33 the shape is perfect but the middle is black, why not just make the middle chrome, so you can have nice chrome wheels on your buzz?

I am an Australian that will buy one ( hopefully before 2025). What are the seating options please. I want to run my 9'6" surfboard up the middle between the seats if possible. Also, I drive a Transporter/ crew van and remove the back seat from time time. Will back seats be removable and lighter?

It's nice, but why is the seating so average? A MK1 Renault Espace was much more flexible and that was nearly 50 years ago

Grüßen aus Florida, please send the ID Buzz to the US as soon as possible, hopefully it will not be more than 40K with 300 miles, I want to buy 3 of them for my Pest Control Company, ID Buzz Cargo is the perfect size. Call me so we can test them in a daily basis.

Dear VW, could you explain me why did you choose rear seats only split 60:40 (similar as in Caddy) while you claim customers wants maximal variability and that is why T7 has individual seats? This rear bench reduce variability significantly. Big mistake in my opinion. Otherwise good job.

I don't like the light set of the ne BUZZ. In my own opinion, " no Round no Buzz", front and back, no discussion. maybe the CEO of vw or the main designer pretend to be different so much from the Original üand they failed. With this design they will get years to reach success like MINI or 500 which really reached by just the recognizable FORM of the original. Nothing is gone. In my honest opinion they will can immediately recover the project if they give the option of customizing the front and back lightening set.

@@miroslavsylvestr6192 I absolutely agree, but they haven't created a bus that is reminiscent of what made the old one great. They've simply made a normal van and are trying to pass it off as something it's not.

@@Tom-cn4cm I think it is pretty close. If the van looked more like the T1 (e.g. cab over wheels) it would be quite impossible to pass safety tests we have nowadays.
