Hello, I love your stories about the golden years of Hollywood. Yesterday, I saw a wonderful interview with Julie Andrews and her daughter. There was a clip of 9-year-old Julie singing, God Save the King, to a packed theater in London around the time that WWII ended. The clip reminded me of the views that you have shown us of the theaters in that time period. Did you ever interview Julie Andrews?

Oh Mr Sean! How darling of you to take the tube! I always like to see where you are going to pop up, you alone provide me with a tour of London! THANK YOU from an American fan of your's ! Regarding Miss Swanson : didn't she have similar facial bones to the lovely Greer Garson? Well, at least I think she did ! I was a young girl when my mother let me stay home from school specifically to watch "Mrs.Minever" with a star studded cast and the wonderful Greer Garson. My mother explained about the bombings of England, and other things of the era. She had been a young girl and teen during World War 2, the exact age of your/our! beloved Queen Elizabeth, their birth dates only a few days apart. My mother was such a fan of the Royal Family that she had got up late at night to listen to Queen Elizabeth's wedding which was broadcast on radio! Then, when I was just starting elementary school, she got me up early, early one morning to listen on radio to the Queen's Coronation. I am so glad that she did that! I remember sitting next to the big old console radio, the center of our home as we had no television for another two years, in my flannel nightgown which my mother had sewn for me, hearing the accented (to my ears) English young female voice taking her vows and pledging her life to the people of Great Britain and the Commonwealth. That experience turned me into an Anglophile. Wow, just thinking of Greer Garson looking like Gloria Swanson brought back all those memories...I will be 78 in a few weeks and I do get rather carried away at my age. Thank you for your patience.

Waving back to you on the underground 🚇 from my armchair 💺 I saw the Petula and Glenn Close productions of Sunset Boulevard in London, and they were equally brilliant. I imagine Swanson's Boulevard would have been exceptional because she was a very talented person. We tend to think that these star performers can only do certain things but, take Petula Clark for instance, she conceived and produced her own West End musical Someone Like You, and wrote the male lead specifically for Dave Willetts. She is an exceptional talent. I always know that your Pathe News style reports are also going to be superior to any other showbiz news items, and that's because you have more strings to your bow,and it's good to see you displaying your talent, Neil - our ⭐️🌟reporter ❤

🇭🇲 🦘👋 I enjoyed my "close up" with you Neil, while hearing all of the news, from the London Tube - and beyond. How very good it is of you to always buy 'us' a ticket 🎫 to join with you, on the train 🚈 wherever you are off to, and finding out all of the entertainment (and other) news. This being No exception! As - such a treat, and so very interesting. "GEE WHIZ!" I just realised what I wrote (above) that you had to 'buy' us ALL (at least your subscribers) tickets 🎫 to join you, and that makes it (at least) 324,000 tickets 🎫 so I do hope you got a great deal (on the price of the tickets) Neil, and that you are not too much "out of pocket". Then again, maybe you were sneaky (as in clever) and 'sneaked' us all - on board. Such is my vivid imagination - but what fun! 😉 LOL 😂 🤣 "OK!" I'm a NUT 🥜 but quite a harmless nut 🥜 just having a bit of harmless fun. All thanks to you - and this wonderful channel. YOU are a dear dear man! 💓🫂 "Thank you" so much Neil xx 👔 ⭐👋

You don't do so badly on the "hidden depths" yourself Kev, recalling some comments that you've posted. I hope you're alright Kev, please know that I'm thinking of you and sending you a big hug. x0x Pen 🙋

You have your St George tie on today Neil, good for you my flags are flying here in NZ for England 🇳🇿👋🏻❤️
Happy travelling Neil 👋👋👋🇳🇿🇳🇿🇳🇿

Hello Sean this is a fascinating tidbit. Ms. Swanson was a bit ahead for her time with this. Might have been a treat to see how it came about had she the chance. Hope you and everyone have a great week.
I love you on the bus Neil, and now the train! Thank you. One day…..the horse drawn carriage 🥰
Waving to our chums 🖐🏼🖐🏼🖐🏼🖐🏼

I love seeing you out and about Neil- especially in the lush and leafy Yorkshire dales.Stay safe travelling around London..😊
❤ thank you ❤
"Mind the gap between the train and the platform!" We used the Tube a lot when in London. Neil, you weren't on any of ours. 🙃 Hello from California!
So fun! I felt like I was on the tube with you!
How wonderful, Tube ride and all!
Love your stories Neil❤
👍👋🏴
👋👋👋👋 the first time on the tube was terrifying. A week down the line, it became easy. It didn't take long to realise there was always someone ready to help. Love the English .....😊
Loved the underground train ride, never been on one before. Sunset Boulevard was a great movie, pity Gloria Swanson didn't get her way. These golden oldie stars had something special about them, so great that you bring us these backstories, so interesting, thankyou Neil.
Oh my I was scared of all the noises on that train 😱
👋🏻👋🏻👋🏻👋🏻
You have met everyone....Iove it when you share these stories, so interesting.
Swanson was before her time. I would love to have seen what she came up with.
Strangely I don't remember watching Sunset Boulevard. I guess I'm going to have to find it and watch it.
I stayed up last night watching Carousel. Probably first time i saw was 1967? I was sick and couldn't sleep and my dad who had to wake up daily at 4am for work, had me watch this movie with him. Just us. To this day this movie can make any bad times disappear.
Me too. I still watch his series
Good morning Neil hope you have a good day and don’t work too hard ❤
Love this tie ❤
