I absolutely love these two books!! Have you read the Caraval trilogy? Those three books come before Broken Heart and Ballad of Never After. They contain some info that help with Jacks and world building.

I keep meaning to mention this to you, but if you happen to be looking for something middle grade that scratches the itch of Harry Potter with a SUPER fascinating magic/house sorting system, I think you'd love The Marvellers by Dhonielle Clayton. I've become absolutely obsessed and I need more people to fall in love with this series with me. P.S. Book two comes out this Fall.

I also just read once upon a broken heart & the ballad of never after.. absolutely adored both! Can't wait for the third book to come out 💖

This was such a charming video!! I loved following along with you on your fantasy reading journey! If you love pet dragons, I'd recommend A Proper Dragon! It's a Regency romance fantasy with pet dragons and magical powers. It's so neat and though I've only read the first book in the series so far, I LOVED it!! As for more fantasy recs, The Hobbit is an absolute classic (and my fav) but Hanna Sandvig's Faerie Gate series is also my new obsession and the BEST!!!

You should read Fourth Wing, if you can get your hands on it (I can’t) but I’ve heard the dragons in it have really awesome relationships with their riders that is very similar to Abraxos!
