omgg i started reading bc of colleen hoover!! the first book i read from her was 'hopeless' back in 2016 and at the time i was so overwhelmed with that book and i became obsessed with reading. i've read basically all the books she has published and i definitely recommend them! specially november 9, verity(!!!!!!!!), hopeless and confess :)))

Thank you coco ! The first novel I read from ColHov is Without Merit. I've never read anything in english before and I mostly did it to improve my language. However, I loved the book even if it has a low rate. I found the story captivating even if a bit strange. What should I read next ?

When I read it ends with us my brain kept reading Ryle as Ryan 💀

i find it so interesting how people can have such varying opinions on books because i thought it ends with us was so boring and predictable, whereas i gave without merit an instant 5 stars and finished it within a couple house 😳

I've never read any of her books before which 2 would you recommend most??

north west london is where i grew up and k currently live in belfast, northern ireland :))

ive read alot of colleen books and shes def not my fav author but i like a couple of her books without merit is one of my least favorite books ive ever read tho😭😭

I must say that I enjoyed it ends with us very much but about merit ... you know I was getting that book from the library and did not expect anything but the topics that are involved in the plot were so triggering and I was really thinking how a 14 year old (im 22) would handle that. I don't know but for me that book was really really bad and unrealistic. And (spoiler) she literally tries to commit suicide at one point and that was when it was over for me because how that was handled in the book and literally the whole situation was just too much.

I liked it ends with us, but i didn't like the way abuse was represented. Personally it was a bit problematic. I understand that abuse in books is very different than in real life but i just didnt wibe with it and i have read many books that have abuse in them

that’s so valid, i think it’s such a difficult thing to represent and is really open to interpretation so each reader will feel something different which books have you read where you thought it was better?

first hello, i love your content :) second, i actually grew up around where hoover is from and there are no abortion clinics close to where she is and abortion is not seen as remotely an option in that area for a lot of reasons but mainly religious ones and a "bootstrap" mentality (you got yourself in the mess, get yourself out) which is unfortunate. also, in texas, you can be criminally prosecuted by other civilians if you aid anyone receiving an abortion now lol. and i refuse to read to hoover because i remember playing her town in various sports and many of the people in attendance were racist so there's also that

omg that’s so helpful! makes SO much more sense now why there is never another option in her books 😔 i guess it also makes for a more drama filled read but also quite annoying how so many girls will read them and won’t be full educated on what is available to them thank you so much for that!

@@CocoDay it’s also better for her not to bring that into the equation because it will cause problems for her as a writer because of the people that don’t believe in abortion like myself, it’s just smarter to leave it out even if she had known because everyone’s brought up different and believe in different things
