reading only thrillers for a week 👺👻 | spoiler free reading vlog
Ойын-сауық
to get into the ~halloween spirit~ this year, i read five thrillers. this is a spoiler-free reading vlog that chronicles that experience and helps you decide whether you should read them too. the damage this project did to my already fragile psyche? unbelievable.

One of the main reasons I watch your channel is for your zaniness. Please don't change or have self-doubt about your ad libs. It's why we're here.

Was literally just going to put a comment like this down here. I'm binging her most recent videos cuz I just can't get enough of the "zaniness". So much fun!

Absolutely. The amount of times I burst out laughing listening to her. My favorites are the charts and the character picture boards.
In case you’re wondering, PLEASE keep making charts, graphs, and visual aids. I live for them

“Most of my hobbies are just me not trying to get dementia when I’m 80” 😳 really made me realize the same thing about myself lolll
I just have to say that your videos scratch an itch in my brain that I didn't know was there? I just found your channel last week but you're already my favourite person to create content on booktube and I think that says it all, so thank you for being great and talking in a way that keeps my attention up and working.

That's exactly how I feel about this channel omg
“I feel like most of my hobbies are me not trying to have dementia when I’m 80” girl same. You explain my old lady hobbies better than I could lol
Once you showed you were reading Pretty Girls I knew exactly where it was going on the graph 😅
I read Pretty Girls without knowing anything about it and it WRECKED me. Glad to know I'm not alone with that reading experience 🙃
When you started to describe Pretty Girls before reading it and you said "hallmark thriller" I almost spit out my drink bc I knew what you were in for with a Karin Slaughter novel 😅
See something I love to do is buy popular booktok mystery and thrillers and give them to my grandmother. If this woman can read a book a day and has been here for 85 years… girly knows all the tropes. All this to say I will be taking this list to her 🤭
if you thought pretty girls was the IT girl, her sister book, the good daughter, is THE bombshell. The Good Daughter (god that book i remember reading in a boba shop and the first 50 pages made me scream). karin has a serious knack for creating real flawed grounded characters that really elevate the thriller genre for me, it's chef's kiss!!!!

Don’t be shy, give us more deranged twisted recaps PLEASE 😭😭
MY MONDAY HAS BEEN GIFTED WITH SUCH A DELIGHTFUL EXPERIENCE TY 💖🙌
Your next thriller cozy read should be a good girls guide to murder!! So many plot twists especially in the first two books and it keeps you on the edge of your seat while still being fun to read!! (And also heartbreaking)

i've heard this is really good! def on my list
Can I just say how much I absolutely LOVE the little adhd side tangents in-between reading sessions? as a (suspected) adhd girly myself it’s just nice to see what you’re up to and your random little thoughts that pop up because of course they do how could they not??? It makes it almost feel like i’m on a facetime/sleepover, just hanging out kinda vibes which is literally perfection from a channel like yours 🥰 (p.s. your news about your favorite snack and finishing the puzzle were just oh so fun to listen to you talk about ❤❤❤)

Looking at your profile you don't have ADHD but you definitely have autism
Riley Sager is such an unpredictable author. I read the last time I lied which was quite good and then final girls which was so awful. It's like a game of chance. Loving your content! My TBR is forever growing because of you..

@Maddog441 Nope. It implies sex off page, but I don't think it has any on page descriptions. The setting was great, but the plot was not that great. On the other hand, Home before dark was really good with gothic horror themes
No girl, I dont think you understand, HOW I AM IN LOVE WITH YOUR CHANNEL!!! PLEASE KEEP DOIN IT, and please keep being yourself, I am being honest, watching your videos makes me feel like I am talking with my best friend! Keep up the good work and lots of love from a fan from Brazil ❤

the way she gets distracted so easily and her vibes too is just immaculate- and i dont even read that much lmao
The housemaid is peak camp/cheesy 90s-early 2000s lifetime thriller movie and I liked it for that.
Honestly, this woman and this editing is SUCH. A. VIBE. I discovered your channel about 2 weeks ago with The Twisted series anddddd may I say I've been hooked ever since. (Also, I do see you've acquired books further in the series. Does this mean there would be more recaps? 😇🤪) I have watched and rewatched your videos in the last 2 weeks and had been waiting for your new one for the last 2/3 days. I rannnnn when I saw that you've uploaded today. 😂🥳 Needless to say I love how articulately you describe the content you read, how honestly you share your experiences of reading these books, whether they've been emotional or otherwise. You are the best/most entertaining content creator on this platform when it comes to books. I hope you'll continue making these kickass videos, with YOUR OWN UNIQUE WAY OF EDITING (which imo just breathe more life into your videos)🔥💘 in the future and will get to read some great books through them. 😇 Your channel sooner or later WILL BLOW UP. I. Am. A. Fan. 😇😂😂😂 - I got "Betty" and "Tomorrow and tomorrow and tomorrow" post your video and am so excited to read them. 😇 Thanks for the recommendations hon. ❤ PS. I hope you're taking care of yourself too, lexi. 💙✨

🥺 this is such a sweet comment. thank you so much for all of your kind words, it really means a lot. twisted series in theory is continuing but lowkey book 2 was boring so i am deciding whether to skip it and cover the rest or do them all for posterity... we will see. but seriously thank you 🥺🥺🥺
I’m a former English teacher, 34 year old homeschooling mom of 4 kids and I swear I wish we were friends 😂 you could teach me what riz means and we could read great stuff 😂 I love your videos they’re so much fun, I just chuckle along as I’m doing mundane household tasks and update my Goodreads TBR 😊 HIGHLY ENTERTAINED! I’m gonna sign this like the old person I feel I am -from Brandie lol

I loved how you described perfectly what makes a good puzzle. Doesn't have to be challenging, but it does have to be interesting!
your content brings me so much joy. and i LOVED the silly graph. it added to the experience
Babe wakeup, lexi posted!!!!
I absolutely love how you describe books, you found the words I didn't even know I had. Thank you for your service *salutes* and the graph ??? chef kiss

Thank you for posting when I’m sick at home. It’s like you knew what I needed
Love the snack and puzzle recs thrown in with the book reviews 🖤 (and obviously the onyx cameos)
Such a good collection of books so excited to watch 🤍
Your commentary slaps and your graph is exactly the type of "vibes but make it science" that my brain understands. Please keep making content.
i haven’t read the housemaid but i have read like 5 of her books and honestly i feel like your final description fits all of them. they aren’t the greatest thrillers ever but they keep you entertained and wanting to read more lol
My fav booktuber
You have one of my favorite brains of any booktubers that I watch. Where else can I get a bonus graph and a puzzle review I loved it.
I have thoroughly enjoyed the earring changes throughout the video AND the vibes graph. The charting makes perfect sense 📈👩🏼💻
Lexi you are such a fun person to listen to.keep up the good work ❤️☺️
Your channel is my new comfort food
Love love love that I stumbled across your channel recently! You just have the most fun videos! I'm also big YA mystery thriller girlie who has been scared of home invasion since an early age so it makes sense that I love your work. Definitely adding some of the thrillers you enjoyed to my TBR!
Your videos are the best! You’re so engaging and spot on with your reviews and always adding the best visual elements- love the graph in this one! Just read the housemaid and could not agree more with your thoughts and review. Sometimes when I read a book fast I feel like I need to rate it super high, so I love hearing you break down your reviews!
I am so happy to see this video after getting home from a long day of classes!!!
THE MAISIE PETERS SHIRT WHILE LUCY PLAYED? obsessed with that vibe
My new favorite channel on KZread, keep going. Love u ♥️
The chart is such a fun idea 😊 loved the boned chilled rating
Loved this! The graph was amazing haha
Your videos are always refreshing to watch. Thank you. Have a lovely day ♥️
I adore the graphing.
oh my gosh, finally, someone has captured my exact feeling when reading the housemaid. I read it months ago and still am not sure if I liked it or not. but I think about it a lot so, that counts for... something? I don't know what, but something.
I absolutely love your videos, you’re so funny, I don’t know how you speak so well but I’m here for it! I love a good puzzle, if you haven’t done any eeBoo puzzles you should, their puzzles are so bright and vibrant and fun. 10/10 would recommend.
I will never get over how great and funny your descriptions are of books and just like life haha! Also, I love the Maisie Peters shirt 👀

When you showed Pretty Girls I said 'no girl, don't go into this one blind!' but screaming into the past is foolish. First video of yours I saw but I'm already hooked.
my first video of yours and... I'm in love *proceeds to binge watch your channel*
This entire video is vibes! I love it, the graph is hilarious, fun, and NECESSARY 😂🎉❤
the puzzle review really got me
I love your videos since you started booktube. ❤ I enjoy your rants and reviews about the books! I hope you are doing great!

100% agree with your review of Pretty Girls. I was/still am... haunted by that plot.
You're my absolute favourite. Love you, love your videos ❤
I love your content WTF😭❤️
I love freida mcfadden because her books are so insane but I fly through them in a day or two so helps with my reading goal and keeps me entertained lol
loving the lucy dacus, taylor swift, and maisie peters references in here🤭
omg LEXI you should look into the controversy surrounding the housemaid / freida mcfadden... after i read the book, i was reading reddit discussions on it, and people brought up that it's basically the EXACT same plot as another thriller book - and apparently a few of other freida mcfadden's books also have the same plot as books by other authors!! hailey hughes also made an informative video on it, but i just thought it was super interesting that freida mcfadden has gotten so popular and not a lot of people have mentioned this!!

this is fresh, will definitely look into it... i will say the whole book was not the most original thing in the world (like it was pretty cliched already) but intriguing that there is a controversy

@@newlynova i agree, it wasn’t super groundbreaking but i believe it’s like SUPERRR similar to the other book (including the theater scene?) so people were sus!!
Onix is such a sweetheart 😭💖
Did I drop absolutely everything I was doing to watch this video? Yes. 👏🏼
Thank you for blessing us with content, Lexi. I have no interest in any thrillers, but I will eat up anything you post.
Oh my gosh, your cat is so cute! The little meows!
Love the video gurlll ❤❤
omg the first time I heard about lock every door I thought about that show immediately!
I love the Maisie Peters shirt!
this was so fun thank you for the video! I am firmly not a thriller reader so this was like a fun look into a world I have not ventured into
I have found my new fav book vlogger 🤭🎀
I nevvver leave comments, but I really wanted to tell you how much I love your KZread vids! I came from TT, and I’ve been living for the long-form content here. I could listen to you talk about books forever, thank you for your service
