I am 100% a mood reader. the ADHD will not allow for anything else! it also becomes a problem when i have 6 books i want to read all at the same time

I would definitely recommend that if ur confused by six of crows to read the shadow and bone series first. It explains the magic system a lot better than six of crows and the plot is A LOT easier to follow. Ik a lot of people have mixed opinions on it but I personally really liked the series especially the last book. ❤

That is SO cute that your husband reads in bed with you! Every time I ask my boyfriend if he’ll read one of my favorite books he says “I don’t know how to read”. It’s a joke of course, but I wish he would just try it! Lol. I love your content❤️

I can’t wait to hear your thoughts on the rest of the ACOTAR series. The others are way better than the first. I loved Shatter Me when I read it years ago. I read the first 3 and never finished it. I don’t remember much so I plan on rereading the series. I hope you get to Six of Crows soon! I also would love to hear what your husband thought of Fourth Wing. Maybe convince him to start his own booktube channel lol.

So glad you loved ACOTAR. I actually just finished the second book today... It was so incredibly good. Though I am dying a little because book 3 doesn't come in the mail until tomorrow. The waiting is excruciating!!! Thanks for getting me through today!

I struggled with the first ACOTAR book (listened to it on audio and had to DNF it a couple times). I think people struggle with it because of the worldbuilding. But I decided to push through and so glad I did because now I’m obsessed with it! Currently reading ACOWAR! The fact that you loved the first book tells me you’re gonna absolutely love the rest of the series🤍✨🧚

I just started ACOTAR a couple days ago! I read TOG last year and im hoping to finish ACOTAR and Crescent City this year. I absolutely love the Sarah J. Maas universe. I also completely don't understand why people said the first one was hard to get into. I'm loving the story and the characters and having such a fun time reading it!!

I wish I could read more (cause my goal is 50 books this year, which I've surprisingly already read 5) but I'm also a writer/author, so I have to balance out my time

it gets better with Sarah J. Maas. My favorite book was Queen of Shadows in Throne of Glass series and A court of Mist and Fury in Avotar. My favorite book of Cresent City is House of Sky and Breath.

Perhaps you can read the Shadow and Bone trilogy first before diving into the Six of Crows duology if you find it too confusing. It's not a must, but it might help! And I really enjoyed reading the Shadow and Bone trilogy :)

I was disappointed by the shatter me series, these are books I would have loved when I was 14, and it’s been so hyped on social medias that I was waiting for better, and I think that we have a lot of unanswered questions at the end of the book

As someone who also has ADHD I wanna warn you. Six of crows made 0 sense when I tried to read it. I dnf’ed it and read the shadow and bone trilogy first, it wasn’t that good but it made me understand the grisha world. When I read six of crows after I LOVED the six of crows duology. I know you’re a new reader so that’s why I’m recommending you to read shadow and bone first! Don’t want you getting a slump over one of the best books simply bc it’s difficult if you don’t understand the grishaverse

Hey Hal! I loved this video so much! I know it sounds kind of dumb, but you have no idea how much you representing mood readers means to me! I am a mood reader and it’s so so difficult for me to find books to read and to keep interest in books. You make me feel like it’s normal and it’s not such a weird thing. I never see anyone like that in the book community and I appreciate the representation so much! Mood readers and readers that don’t read 6 books a week are still readers! ❤🫶

@@HalJonesYeah I totally agree! For me, it’s like losing interest in books a lot and the books I’m in the mood to read change all the time. I can’t force myself to read a book that I’m not in the mood for, or I’ll get into a slump. I experience slumps more often as well just because I have a hard time picking my next read since my mood changes. Sometimes I’m not in the mood to read any specific books which is really difficult because I want to read but I feel no motivation. I also have a difficult time with long chapters. I know it doesn’t sound super pretty but that’s just how it is for me. But when I find a book I love, I really really love it! I love hearing the representation and I appreciate you showing it! Keep doing what you’re doing!!! ❤❤❤❤
