Love triangles just leave me frustrated. Its always the Bad Boy™ that ends with the girl after all the heinous stuff he puts her through and the nice guy commits some heinous act in the final act to jsutify the descion.

There’s one very specific love triangle I like, and it goes like this: Character A has feelings for Character B. A recruits C to help them win over B. In the process, A and C fall in love. Bonus points for a love confession of “you have to change yourself for them, but I love you are you are.”

I too don’t mind love triangles because they have so much potential. The execution, though… is usually less than ideal 😅 but you sold me on What He Doesn’t Know!

Not me realizing I’ve ONLY ever liked love triangles in fantasy…but (like you in this video) I usually end up disappointed when it comes to reading them in contemporary romance. Maybe What He Doesn’t Know will finally be a winner even though cheating often makes me cringe…you have that tone in your voice that usually means I’m going to love it.💕 I think I need to at least try given that I MARRIED a leg of my real-life love triangle and, you know, don’t have a pet unicorn…

I commented this on the last video you mentioned love triangle books, but Bringing Down the Stars by Emma Scott is SUCH a good love triangle duology. It has the same angst and heart that all Emma Scott books do with the addition of the drama from the LT.

I don't like love triangles because there's always a clear "winner" , and I just end up feeling sorry for the other person in the triangle. The only book with this trope that I enjoyed was "One Ttue Loves" by Taylor Jenkins Reid

This was a very fun video, but not gonna lie, I'm REALLY excited about your "why choose" reading vlog! Because it's the holidays, I highly recommend Trick Shot by Kayla Grosse!! Also, recommend these: - Faking with Benefits: Lily Gold (this is actually suprisingly good) - Sugar Daddies: Jade West

For Why Choose, Kathryn Moon is your best bet! I love her Lola & the Millionaires duet (which is technically books 2 & 3 in a series but you don't *have* to read the first book since it's about a different heroine). It delves into healing from s*xual trauma in a fantastic way and has light omegaverse elements. If Kathryn Moon is already on your radar to try, my favorite Why Choose I read this year is Ensnared by Rebecca Quinn and it has a full cast audio on Audible. It does end on a bit of a cliffy but book 2 comes out in January, and it's a post-apocalypse romance with a heroine who is around age 30 and was divorced before the apocalypse started, which was refreshing to read since a lot of Why Choose have super young and naive heroines.

Curious what your opinion is of the love triangle in the Infernal Devices because of all the over dramatic uneven love triangles I read in YA sci fi / fantasy as a teenager that’s the only one I actually liked. But to be fair love triangles aren’t my jam to begin with😅 I just never wanna see anyone end up unhappy in the end, unless it’s so lopsided that I don’t like one of the love interests and don’t care about them

Okay, poly romances are my jam so recommendations incoming (and I will say, to me there is a distinction between polyamorous romance and "why choose/reverse harem" but I'm treating them as the same thing for these purposes) The Architect by Nikki Sloane is MMF and feels very unique to other poly romances I've read as far as the dynamic goes. Snowed In by Krista Wolfe is definitely more about the smut but I was actually really surprised at how much I liked the romance aspect for something that could have been just smut. The Torn and Bound duet by K. Webster and Nikki Ash is so messy but so good and not just a bunch of dudes with one heroine. The Complicated Hearts duet by Ashley Jade gets a little convoluted but doesn't change how delightfully messy the MMF triad is! Broderick by Katie Robert is FFM which is a nice change of pace. And my final recommendation is Wolf's Bane by Auryn Hadley for a paranormal why choose werewolf romance with an older heroine!

You should watch The Bucaneers (2023) if you haven't already. Is Bridgerton on esteroids, veeery mesy. There is a love triangle, both love interests are very flawed and we don't know with who she is going to end or if she is going to end up with someone at all (the season finale is this tuesday)

loving Chanmas so far and can't wait to see what's coming!! i was looking through my goodreads and struggling to find a good, solid, well-written, romantic, not-just-sex, why choose book lmao but i have to recommend Losers by Harley Laroux! her writing is solid, there's great character progression/development, there's romance and also hot sex lol (also sword crossing if you're into that) and just overall a great why-choose book! my only gripe is that it's way too long and there's a second book but honestly i really only recommend reading the first one since the second one doesn't really contribute anything of value, except way too much sex lmfao

I can only happily read Why Choose romances if there's more than 1 book. I need to get to know each character, and 1 book doesn't do it satisfyingly. Hot take, with each added person, there should be an additional book. 3 dudes, 3 books. Elle Thorpe Saint View series is my favorite Why Choose world. Saint View Prison, specifically!
