Reading Journal Comparison & Review: Leuchtturm Ex Libris vs Moleskine Passion Book Journal

I recently moved from the Moleskine Passion Book Journal to the Leuchtturm1917 Ex Libris notebook to keep track of the books I read, so I wanted to take this opportunity to compare the two for anyone who isn't sure which is the right choice for them.

I DIDN'T KNOW THEY MADE NOTEBOOKS LIKE THIS!!! This is such a fun idea. I could see it being particularly interesting next to a special collection. IE one for all my garden books. Thanks for the great review!

Aren't they just the best thing?! And yes, that sounds like a great way to use them, glad you enjoyed :)

I'd love that Leuchtturm one - I just got one of their notebooks to use as a journal and I'm loving it - but the large ruled lines on those pages would drive me nuts. I like to write small too, dots or blanks or tiny lines for me :)

Oh wow. How did I not know these existed?! I generally make notes like this already, especially for books I might want to keep in mind for putting on a syllabus for a course in future, but this is such a good idea! I've bought the Moleskine to try (a newer edition with a slightly different layout).

I used the moleskine once but I didn’t liked the alphabetical tabs because I ran out of R and T space pretty quickly and then the structure felt uncomfortable. I have just ordered the German one in the taupe colour! Thank you for you review!!

I've just bought he "upgraded" version of the Moleskine book journal (mine is blue and has about 390 pages) and I'm loving it... it's not perfect, of course things can always be inproved but I love it's organized alphabetically (I've decided to order according to the author's name) and I don't use fountain pens, the pen I use doesn't have bleeding problems with Moleskine paper. I'm a stationery junky so I know and love leuchturm too. I guess this journal will last me for a few years but I'm an avid reader so can see myself finishing it (or almost) and starting another one. Thanks so much for the comparison!
