Nott going to lie, your thumbnail brought me here. Don't worry, I'm a familiar to booktube. It is somewhat refreshing to see a KZreadr not so taken by the luster of the Western Canon (which I kind of find annoying and myopic at the same time). You are simply reading books, any really, that appeal to you. Silence, an unburst bubble, does wonders for the 'soul'

There are 14 in the Mrs. Pollifax series. Aren’t they super! How you are well enough to travel.

What a fun idea to choose your reads! I hope you're feeling better! We had a similar cold run through our house the last two weeks. Not fun at all.

Yes, thank you! It was short lived, though the day after this last clip I stayed in bed all day and ended up reading 600+ pages. It was a productive sick day!

Mrs. Pollifax on Safari wasn't my favorite of her books. The next few are better. The emojis were fun! I guessed the first two books but not the others.

The emojis were a lot of fun! I did not figure out a single one of them though 😂 I still haven't read Homecoming but I really need to. And I don't know about The House at Riverton (because I haven't read that one either 😬), but The Distant Hours and The Secret Keeper are both set during WWII, so I get how those could merge in your head.

Oh that makes sense why I would get those two confused. It was also a time in my life where I wasn't reading a ton so when I found an author I enjoyed I read all of their books and so I probably read them super close together. I would like to re-read them at some point.

@ChantelReadsAllDay I need to re-read The Distant Hours. It was my least favorite book by her, and I feel like I must have missed something in the twist because they're normally really good (at least to me).

I finished Homecoming by Kate Morton, but wished I had DNF'd it! It was the worst book I've read this year.

I want exactly thinking of ways to use emojis, but thecthougjt came to mind that you could have patreons send you a set number of emojis and you have to pick a book that matches. Then again, maybe you're doing something similar. I seem to recall you asking for emojis.

The only Kate Morton I own is The Clockmaker’s Daughter and I haven’t read it. You are not the first person I’ve heard say that it is their least favorite! 😢 I am unsure if that is the first one of hers I should read or if I should just unhaul it and start with something else. 🫠
