I can actually tolerate the student-teacher relationship to a certain extent really. In The Love Hypothesis, I didnt really get a feeling of Adam being very old at all except for like very rare scenes, which didnt disturb me essentially. But this book is...um.. I wouldnt say it's BAD. The author just chose a topic I dont like. But she executed it amazing. So I cant blame the book or the author.
