Absolute credit to Dad there Sharon, bloody gorgeous pond and garden to marry so well together. Can you ask Dad Middleton what the media was ‘light tag’ or something?? Super absorbent, from the power stations or something please? Oh and if you can buy it? 👍😂

Your Dads got a great philosophy no Koi snobbery here 👏👏 and what an amazing set up I made a rectangular pond with ready made kit . I feel a bit embarrassed your Dad is very ingenious indeed and NO UV and water like gin 👏👏👏👏

Great to see someone with such obvious passion for the hobby , without needing to spend massive amounts of money on fish and filtration . Hopefully , will inspire people who aren`t so well off to have a go at creating something as beautiful as John has

Very enjoyable.clever filtration system. Reminded me of my late father who built his own pond and filtration system for his koi pond.

Some people have rented homes so digging a huge hole is not possible so a raised pond is better than nothing

I appreciated your frustration with flukes. Not sure I caught the temperature you were keeping your pond. Are you sure the pigeons are bringing them in or could it be the problem is the eggs? Seems unless you get the temperature quite high, the life cycle of the eggs is very unpredictable. I consider this one of the biggest challenges for the hobby right now. I have new equipment coming to increase the temp and follow the instructions from a previous Koi Talk video. However, I just tried to look up which Koi Talk video that was to reference it and it seems to have been removed. Was it???? Now I am concerned that advice has been retracted. It was a far more aggressive approach. Perhaps there was a problem? Fluke eggs are a challenge many keep trying to ignore. Great tour and beautiful pond by the way!

I’m bringing a 4 inch pipe from my bottom drain into a block built chamber , I love the idea of the pipe as an isolation . Is that just a 4inch pipe into a connector

It's lythgtag it's a waist product from power station you can see it in garden centre's they lay the pots on it as it's very absorbent

totally agree with the comments made at the end of the vid, can't stand the concept of koi shows, these are living animals not classic cars
