I'm an American based in LA. I'm a sucker for musical plays. Thanks for introducing this amazing singer. Her rendition of Someone Like You was the best version by far, gut-wrenching in a warm way. I hit me to the core.

It was the best Valentine's Day gift I've ever received.

I'm a huge Mori fan but how come no ones talking about how cool and awesome Richard's voice is?! Lol

I wasn't into vocals like this until Morissette came. I'd just haven't heard any artists like Mori before! Most people would compare her to other artists that influenced her. Yeah, true but she ran away with it. She has developed her own brand like the vocal squeak, the perfect tone, the key changes and those ungodly high note belt outs and ohh those larynx killer 14 second whistle notes. The way she conveys emotion to any song she sings is unparalleled. Btw, how can one sing 3 languages in one song perfectly (Resignation - Korean, Tagalog & English) live? I can't memorize one Korean line if my life depended on it. She did it in 2 weeks. Also, Tagalog is not her first language. She's simply one of a kind in my humble opinion.

This is how Morissette affects people with her singing.

Morissette is my favourite vocalist of all times. Not only her great range and technique, her most pleasant, warm and full tone, but her ability convey emotions are unreached. I feel like she sings right to my heart and soul, I feel it deeply. There are so many songs I would never listen to, but when Morissette sings them they become top hits for me. Amazing is a much too weak word to describe her.

she would rule Broadway, someone like me was absolute world class, unbelievable.

Vocal Assassin is probably the best description of who Morissette is, I always call her the Genre Slayer which is synonymous to vocal assassin as her voice is so adaptive to any genre of songs.

Her new film was released on Christmas day 2023 called SONG OF THE FIREFLIES in which she plays the part of a choir teacher to a bunch of school kids, i cant wait to see it, she started filming before the pandemic broke out but only finished in the summer of last year 🇬🇧🔥👌❤️.

I am Crying, She is really really good singer.

Shortly before he died, tragically, the great guitarist Duane Allman was talking to Eric Clapton. These two guitar greats met one night at an Allman Bros. concert in Florida and instantly bonded staying up all night after the concert playing and talking about music. Back to the phone call. Duane said to Eric, "you know I've just about got this guitar thing figured out. I don't have to look at the neck while I'm playing. I just think of the notes I want to play and my fingers just go there." I think Morissette's similar with her vocals she hears the nots she wants to sing and her voice just goes there and in the way she wants to sing it.

I was tortured all day knowing that Richard was going to loose it during this reaction but I couldn't watch until I got home from work. So funny. Thanks for the good times and for digging in to her abilities. She is amazing.

She’s so adorable! when she’s singing the last long note of Defying Gravity, and she’s holding incredibly long, true and steady, and you think she’s about to run out of air, then she shakes her head side to side and more beautiful sound comes out! Well THAT is going deep into the Mori-wormhole! Thank you both for supporting this generational singer. Mori seems to be on a path of being "independent" and guys like you who support "indie artists" are so important. We may never see Morissette on the Grammy stage....but her influence as a singular and outstanding artist is not diminished. Please react to her recent live performances and her own songs from her EP that was released a few years ago. Getting to see you guys react to that much Morissette was definitely 'WICKED' !!!!!!!

I'm not sure if you are just saying that she is your favorite singer but if you mean it literally, I don't think you or anyone else can know who is the best singer in history. In order for you to do that, you need to listen to ALL singers in ALL countries of the world who ever lived and to ALL their performances since their best performance may not show all of what they are capable of. Of course this is impossible to do. In addition to this, some singers lived before sound and video recordings were invented, so how can you compare their unrecorded performances with that of Mori? The best singer in history is unknowable.

So many things I could say about Morissette and this special performance but it would take forever. Back again, when you were talking about the parts of Mori's voice that makes her a head higher than a lot of the singers out there, the likes of Ariane or Christina is her clear head voice over the others, you said piercing which can be painful like it is by some singer's like the two above, Mori's head voice tone is just so perfect, like everything else, I know CD is now old school but I would love to have a CD and a DVD with these performances, because I love watching Mori perform with no big gestures like the rest, and not wearing something inappropriate on stage like all the rest, Jessie J and Ariane and many more, it puts me off. 😊

I remembered the first time I watched this years back and my reaction was the exact same reaction of Richard.
