Just as an illustration for what @UncleEarl-gy7wn said, if, for example, Wikipedia is to be believed, while it is true it came from Carpathian mountain region, it did NOT come from Ukraine (the Celtic territory barely ever reaches Ukraine), see en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Celts .

hi 2:30 As the author of the video is being polite :), I, on the other hand can freely express myself here and say, that I hate rap, everything about it as a genre. But I got to say, for me this part at the beginning doesn't feel like rap at all, more kind of a "angryish" poetic storytelling, but yea, to most people it sounds like rap, and I'm not going to argue with that. 3:35 Overall, the song is about the strength & power of the Ukrainian people (nowadays almost every Ukrainian song focuses on it). It points at the people's resilience, and states that they have "shed tears" and "prayed for peace”. Then it shifts the focus on the hope for the future: e.g. the people will "heal their wounds" and "overcome their enemies”. Most of it is described by the power of nature (tsunami). So the background is actually pretty great synchronized with lyrics, and that's cool. 5:25 Tridents are actually pretty interesting thing to discuss here, as we are concerned, the song's styling is all about sea, ocean, water element, tsunami, and so on, so it's obvious to connect this with Poseidon and Greek mythology, as you mentioned. But, the coat of arms of Ukraine is also a golden trident on a blue shield (we call it tryzub). My guess, that those two concepts are intertwined here. In summary, I still struggle to tell why they weren't my final pick, the closest explanation I can get - there was too much going on in the song, and because of that the structure of the song felt constantly overwhelmed, and there was no opportunity to emphasize certain parts, which had to be emphasized. Anyhoo, thank you for reacting to my suggestion, I did enjoy the video. Keep up, and eventually your channel will break through recommendations :)

Hi! About 2:30 - yeah, that's why I refered to it as rap mixed with ethno, but it fully could be my perception just because I have no idea about what they were talking about. About 3:35 - thanks for the explanation, in that case it makes a lot of sense! About 5:25 - probably true. Great way to intervene something that is known culturally (Greek mythology) with something about Ukrainian culture. :) Yeah, even after rewatching I still think is I've seen other performances of this style, including Ukrainian ones, that were simply better than this one. Thank you for watching and suggesting this video, I am probably filming next few in coming days to be released over the end of this week and next week. :) (I heard Lithuania and Estonia have chosen their songs, so I assume they will be in front of the queue).

Oh, Baltic countries look great this year. Usually I put some songs in categories, and make a list, for instance: Latvia & Norway - Best so far. Czechia - Worst so far (sorry). Estonia - Just makes you feel good, especially after a bad day. Ireland - Weird/wtf, but there's definitely something in it.
