I feel like why so many gravitate to XG is because they don't act/feel like idols but more like really close friends who just love music and it shows when they perform live also through their MVs you see them just having fun! ❤🧬🐺

Yeah, they don't feel like idols, more like typical music artists we see in the west genuinely enjoying their craft, but still fulfilling the technical expectations put on kpop artists. I was into kpop when Simon was in Dalmatian, and vaguely remember his group. So interesting he came out of nowhere to become a CEO at such a young age, but he and his team are amazing at what they do.

This is that song where Simon decided to remind everybody that Cocona is not just an elite rapper, she's also a really strong vocalist. Good lord, this group is ludicrously talented.

I agree, there is something in XG, i enjoy other GG too, but XG brings emotional experience to me, especially after i follow the journey of them

For me, it's the way XG hits you with passion. And I'm not saying other groups don't have this, but it's the way that they can translate this passion and have the consumers understand the passion they have for music. It's that heart warming good feel. lol idk if that made any sense. XD EDIT: YES! This would definitely be a Step Up OST. While the credits are going and the crew just having a good time and having random dance breaks.

I too feel different about XG and I believe it's because: 1. Some of their songs bring me back to the early y2k RnB I loved so much when I was a child 2. The documentary about the group's genesis filled me with gratitude and respect for these girls that gave everything and more to get to the perfection as artists.

I love Cocona's voice... I want to hear her sing with some parts from Chisa or Juria... her lower register is so nice. XGeeeeeee!! They have so much talent behind them. Esp Simon's past.. the old school writers/producers/musos, choreo folks, stylists/visual creatives.. not to mention XG! What an amazing team. :-D

XG just feels more pure and real as compared to any of the other groups, sure other groups have members that have that too, but with XG it's all of them and it's never forced or faked

The thing that makes XG different for me is their oozing passion. It truly feels like this is what each of the girls are meant to be doing. Like they could perform in a large arena with only about thirty fans but they would still go all out and put on a show.

Goes to show that XG can't miss a step. They can give hard hitting bops and they can slow down too and it will still hit it's mark. ❤ Cocona and Harvey shined on this track. They've been teasing us with Cocona's vocal flavor for the longest time now. 😊 Thank you for the XG love ♥

I understand what you meant, XG just totally hit different compared to all other groups, and it not just what they’re singing or about being a trilingual X-pop girl group in a Kpop world. It’s the emotional ride you’re on when you just watch them. Everything they release just makes it feel satisfying and gratifying and a great sense of accomplishment and support for what XG has done so far. I especially love this MV cuz they just looking like they have so much fun and enjoyment doing and singing this song.

I was not prepared for the vocals that Cocona was going to give on this song. She sounds so fantastic. Also, I have to agree that there's just something different about XG. Other groups are talented. Other groups have amazing music. Other groups are not XG.

Dear Kaia. I always look forward to your reactions about my favorite Kpop groups on your channel. Your insights are very good. I totally agree about XG, they are something else, another level. And I can totally sympathize with you about Chisa as well, as soon as I see her on the screen, something else comes over me, and her voice is unbelievably beautiful. Of course, I also love the other members without exception, maybe Cocona a little more, because she is somehow very special and in this song it was good to hear her finally sing a little. Especially hearing Tippy Toes. Then Mascara came out, I’m like ok… then Shooting Star came with Left Right. Then I was like, we’re in for a good ride. All their songs hit a different vibe for any day. They have never missed. There’s X-Gene and Puppet Master still. Hesono - O is an intro track. I fell deep in love with them with their xtra days, xtra XG and xtra xtra. Let’s not forget 3 meals a day. They are so wholesome yet chaotic but real. If you know what I mean

This quote from g-damn Brandon Sanderson of all people is the closest I've gotten to what feeling they evoke. It feels like they slid into place, both as people and artists and beings experiencing joy... which sorta lets us feel connected to a piece of the self actualization they represent. Watching them can feel like those daydreams you had as a kid and, less frequently, as an adult where you've found some tangible purpose and belonging and community and recognition in a powerful, dramatic way. I'm talking about belting songs using a brush as a microphone, saving lives as a superhero, that kind of less-poignant representations of self actualization. They perform this idea so... well. They push against reality while constantly reinforcing it. They exclaim pride but are very intentional about making sure the audience feels included in it. The Grl Gvng, the alphaz, xg fans, they're all in this story with them. this is a lot but I love your takes on their content. It helps me come to terms with things probably better left "it aint that deep bro"
