Everyone gets affected when a musician dies, but Dolores dying got me the hardest. I'm 41, and the Cranberries were the first band I fell in love with as a young girl. I desperately bought all their albums, learnt all their songs and when they split I was so upset. When I was 26, she did a solo tour, and I got to see her live at Coco in Camden, London, and I'll always be so thankful for that. To this day, I still can't bring myself to listen to the last song on their final album.....it kills me. The world lost such a great talent the day she died. RIP Dolores O'Riordan ❤️

RIP Dolores ❤🩹 Got the chance to see her and the rest of the band in a very small venue in 1993; she was a special soul and intimate artist

Hi Clare I saw her funeral the other day, the streets were packed & there was so much sadness of course all saying goodbye to a beautiful soul & quality artist, I'm 63 & the only other time I got emotional about the death of a singer was when Karen Carpenter died

@@chrisalldis3375 I don't know if you've heard The Carpenters cover, Close to you, it's really beautiful. I grew up listening to both bands, but The Cranberries and especially Dolores has had a profound impact on me. RIP Dolores.

@@KennethLP Karen is my all time favourite just a pure natural tone, & of course a great drummer, Dolores has an advantage of being Irish as they have that yodelling or keening to it where she really stretches the notes, you can hear the accent so clearly or that just might be me.

@@chrisalldis3375 I don't know if it's because I'm from Latin America and English is not my native language, but I really don't know how to distinguish accents in songs. What I do know is that I like both of them and I carry them in my heart, they remind me of my mother.
Don’t get me wrong, it’s a beautiful song. But I think Doloros could have sang the phone book and have me weeping.

Yeah there’s just some thing very emotional and depressing about her vocals and her melodies. I didn’t even know what the lyrics were in this song had me crying.

It is the exact emotion of a generation. She was one of us.
this song always makes me cry! 🥲
This song describes the general feelings of my generation. Particularly in the grunge era. We felt unseen, misunderstood, rejected, outcasts. We were melancholic and depressed because we felt too much and we were tired of the shallowness out there. Dolores’ voice was my friend during those times.
My favourite song " ode to my family.." till now and forever..... RIP my idol ....😢😢😢
Man, Salvo... 🥺❤ "My father, he liked me" and was really the only one in my family who genuinely got me because I was so much like him... This Christmas was 5 years since he passed and FUCK do I miss him. Love your emotions, glad I found ya a few weeks ago. Happy New Year 😘🙋🏻♀️

Mine just passed away and I haven't heard this song since it came out. Balling my eyes out now.
Incomparable!! I love them, i love her voice. She was from another world
This song hits me hard. There is a man in the video who reminds me of my late father. I wish he could have gone to Ireland to see where his parents came from.

Will you go? 🇮🇪
Dolores was an amazing artist, her voice was incredible. They have some epic songs
She was a beautiful soul we lost someone very special when she passed
Love this ,I believe it was Dolores expressing how much she missed her family and Ireland and how lonely it can be doing the required touring for years on end as a rock band. You should check out “No need to argue” instruments are pretty much stripped away just her haunting vocals and an organ.

That’s a great interpretation, hadn’t thought of it that way.
Listen to "When you're gone" and think if it deserves your reaction. It's one of my favorites of Cranberries. I wish you a happy new year.

That song WRECKS ME
Excellent reaction to a beautiful song. Music was designed to elicit emotion and this one certainly fills the bill. Typing this with tears streaming. Keep up the wonderful reactions.
Love all your cranberries reactions ❤ damn music was so pure, raw and real back then.....

Back then, when I was in my 20's-30s. Makes me feel old because I am to that version of me. Grunge, hair metal, nu wave and pop. Each in their container. Cranberries just kept producing different songs with different sounds. Zombie, Linger, Ode, Dreams. All great - pure, raw and real.
Thank you for your raw emotions. You are what reaction vids are about. I grew up with a lot of the songs you react to and it's nice to see it's appreciated.
Absolute beauty of a song, hard hitting and rhythmically melodic, Dolores was one of a kind, and the cranberries band as a whole of course, When You're Gone and Animal Instinct is definitely next on the list.
Right there with ya man. That woman is an absolute Siren. Her voice just gets under my skin everytime i hear it. Annie Lennox and Anne Wilson have a similar effect on me as well. cheers!
I believe they are dolores’s own voice on backing vocals 🤘❤️😢
J'étais au lycée quand cette chanson est sortie. C'est vraiment une très très belle chanson. RIP Dolores, tu nous manques terriblement.
When I first heard this I thought that she sounded so different and a little strange. Then one night I was up late and I was switching the channels when I came upon some girl singing Irish folk music. I immediately thought, yes that is where she gets that. Delores O'Riordan was a true gem and it was such a loss for all of us when she left this planet.
I love how you get the cranberries like I do. I was living in Europe, Ukraine 🇺🇦 for that matter when I discovered this band and heard these songs on the streets in Kyiv, Odessa and Simferopol. She would have made music for Ukraine and Russian resistance no doubt about it. 🫶🌻
It is so positive and cozy and nice and peaceful and simply beautiful. - R.I.P. Dolores
One of my two favorite Cranberries songs. "Linger" is the other.
Daffodil Lament is a song from The Cranberries that is criminally underrated. From the same album as this one I think. You should check it out.

Actually, before they published their greatest hits Stars, they offered the fans the opportunity to vote for their favourite song, and the most voted would end up on the album. And guess what? Daffodil Lament won. Not so underrated after all.
Weeping right along with ya ... ♡
Sorry I keep commenting on everything. But this song has helped me to process so much about my family. Absolutely adore it.
This is so not my "style", but I own a few Cranberries albums because I am literally in love with Dolores' voice. It soothes my soul and exposes me and I cannot not listen. I would give anything to have her back for even a day. RIP sweet angel.

I’m kind of a wreck today and I don’t really know why. Just feeling like there something which needs to get out. So I knew it was going to be a Cranberries and Dolores O’Riordan binge day 😮💨
Dia dhuit as Éireann ☘️ Hello from Ireland love your reactions to Irish bands and singers . The words Understand what I’ve become it wasn’t my design touched my heart and helped me when I was a teenager trying to come to terms with being gay and not knowing what to do and how my family and the world would treat me . Artist like the Cranberries probably has no idea how much their music touched people .

I hope they treated you well and you have thrived but i know not all got the love they should have. Ghrá agus sólas
This song is special to me. I distinctly introducing my Irish mother to the Cranberries through their song Linger. It wasn’t much longer after this song came out that we lost her in '98. My father lasted much longer, he passed in 2017, and this song hits me even harder now. It makes one wonder what songs your kids will be listening to when you are gone that gives them that instant reminiscence.
Please listen to and react to Disappointment by The Cranberries too! Truly deserve to be in the Top 5 best songs of the band!!!
Beautiful song performed by this heavenly voice that'll be missed a lot!
That song always gets me emotional, but what does not when it comes to her singing? In term of meaning, maybe something interesting to ponder , esp when you said her family must be so proud of her: Dolores stated her family was not approving of her career choice in rock and music. And the song was written when she was touring in the US and felt lonely and homesick. I have no knowledge of her family relationship later on as she became the renowned artist and singer she was and what her parents thought about her life then
This song is in my all time top 20 & I wanted to see what others reactions are to it out of curiosity. Came across this vid & your response at around 6.40 was just very sweet & so subscribed.
You said it so beautifully, how this song *feels*. Thank you for this, so much.
Her voice, the scenery, the people all kinds of emotions evoked. One of my favorites, another haunting melody is war child.
I know what you mean, Salvo. Dust in the Wind by Kansas brings me to tears every single time I hear it.
really enjoy that you do some research prior to reacting
Well said G,,,,,👍👍👍💥🎯
I love your reactions I’m a late Millenial and I’m grateful I’m a 90s kid cause my mom raise me with this 90s music I love it
beautiful reaction man. I feel it the same way
This will become an Eire folk song to be shared for the ages
Great reaction! Listen to When You’re Gone if you haven’t yet. I think you’d like it.
Dolores. She had the voice of an angel. Gone too soon. Gone too soon...
Ahh Salvo , you have a soft heart, in the best way ❤
You need to listen to when you're gone by the cranberries
RIP Delores, alcohol has taken so many talented people
This song makes you reflect on your own failures and regrests.
Angelic voice wow
Great loss of unique voice please play 'When you're Gone' Beautiful song RIP Dolorus💔❤🙏
Year of the cat- AL Stewart, you'll love it
I fear for you if you ever watch that "Never Grow Old" video that came up as a suggestion if this one made you emotional. But, yes, Cranberries equals emotional response. Was hard to watch Dolores struggle through this track live after the death of her Dad.
My favorite Cranberries song. It's hauntingly beautiful. Would you please react to Enya?
R.i.p. Delores, I miss you
That's why she was special Angelica total package taken so soon RIP Dolores
You need to listen to "Animal Instinct"
Maybe my favorite of this band - the late, oh so great, Dolores O'
I love this song! Does anyone care! Truthfully not!... thats the point. She liked it but she wasn't there. She was raised to see life as fun. DOES anyone care? Not as much as she did apparently. Love her!!!
Will you do a reaction to the Irish band Seo Linn singing an Irish language song about Gráinne Mhaol ( Grace O’Malley ) a female Irish pirate , I really would like to see your reaction even if it is in a different language ☘️
Mazzy Star - I've Been Let Down
"Unhappiness. WHERE'S when I was young and we didn't give a damn?" She's pining for her childhood - the captions to the video are wrong
You should react to Purple Rain by Prince, audio only.
Next: "When You're gone"
Erin go bragh 🇮🇪
I know she wrote this song for her family but those lyrics and music video makes me think that this song was told from the lens of an orphan living in an orphanage.
Thanks for doing this song.
🙌LORD JESUS🙌SAVE US FROM THE EVIL ONE🙌 ALLELUIA 🙌 A-men' 🌿
Can I suggest : "Promises" ?
Prova anche Daffodil Lament e Cordell...
