I saw these guys live. When they played this song, they threw a drum solo in during the synth part that was so good it made me quit being a drummer.

Out of the literal hundreds of Sleep Token reactions I've watched these last couple months yours are definitely the most intelligent, soothing and interesting I've seen so far. Sleep Token is by far one of my favorites! Vessel's voice gives me chills every time I hear every song. I'm not kidding either. The instruments are perfect! Their music is such a powerful combination of a thrilling rollercoaster ride because you have the tranquil sounds that give you that "ah" moment, the deep emotional lyrics that make you bawl your eyes out and cleanse your soul, the angry moment where you want to scream out all your anxiety and frustrations, and even some lustful moments (Summoning) where you feel sexy and powerful. Their music is so beautiful and freeing, so very unique. I absolutely adore it all! 💜

Bruh, im absolutely loving these reviews. Given how much you liked the funk, i think Granite might blow you away. The pure versatility on display on this album is damn impressive.

Aqua regia straight funky ballroom music vibes. And yes, this song is commonly referred to as "Sexy metal" or "baby making metal" and its hilarious to watch the music reactors lose there minds.

Vore was my favorite before the album dropped. Still is in my top 3, maybe top 2. With the Apparition I had an out-of-body experience when it dropped, the whole album is top tier.

Man, when The Summoning was released back in Jan, I was only a few months into Sleep Token and that funk drop really threw me for a loop. It took a few listens for me to come around to it and now I’ve really come to appreciate all the different genres. Great video!! Also you pointed out the “ocean sounds” with the guitar bit, and I never noticed that but now I can’t unhear it lol

You speak FACTS in this reaction! Sleep Token is all about the instruments and vocals serving the emotion of the song. The soft parts make sense, the heavy makes sense in conveying the emotions Vessel wants us to feel. Even the genre-switching makes perfect sense and serve the feelings the song needs to portray.

Just amazing music❤the music. 😊 I'm a '76 baby and i swear the end felt so vintage, the guitar is so filthy.

If you're looking for a nice double, I'd recommend The Night Does Not Belong to God, followed by Euclid. The first song from their first full-length album, followed by the last song on their latest album.

Vessel’s vocals are amazing, but can we talk about II’s drumming for a sec? Good lord!!!

It's incredibly interesting to hear you interpret the song as the speaker being summoned, where as, I interpreted it as the speaker being the summoner. However, with the lyrics, and seductively pleading nature of the ending section, I can definitely see your interpretation being correct. But for you to get all that you did, and to almost perfectly predict the mood switch, on your first listen, is crazy! It took me multiple listens to begin to feel like I understood what was being conveyed here. Also, I have seen people break down the techniques that are used, both from the vocals and instrumental, but it was really eye opening to hear you breakdown the emotion, and how it was being communicated. Can't wait to listen your next reaction to them!

Actually, start with “Sundowning”, then “This Place will Become your Tomb”, then “Take Me back to Eden”… just do the whole trilogy!

As a dad with two kids, and my home office right next to the kids rooms... I felt this. most of my gaming is later at night, I try to spend time with my family whenever I can, and that leaves most of my gaming or alone time to later at night especially on weekends.

I've been digging the internet for reactions...finding them is like discovering hidden treasure!!!! I'm in the deep south with like 2 people who appreciate this music like I do, so now I found this subculture of those who love this band like I do.. and I had never heard of them until like 2 months ago

Let's go! Man love watching you on your sleep token journey. Something about the music has a grounding effect keeping you in the moment but has this pulling or longing moving you forward at the same time.

I love that you mention the internal metronome right as you entered the funk part of the song. I feel that an overlooked part of the song at the end is the drum fills. They’re so smooth but so technical and really bring that ending together with the guitar kind of hiding in the back

Great intro songs, I personally really enjoy Atlantic and levitate. Though I will say granite has a great undertone in terms of story element. Either way all of their music sounds phenomenal.

We’ve all been on the start of the journey you’re on now and it’s great watching yours. 😊 If you want to do a deep dive, it might be worth starting at the beginning of their first album Sundowning (2019) with The Night Does Not Belong to God. Alternatively you could go really deep and start at the beginning of their first EP One (2016) with Thread the Needle. There are approx. 50 Sleep Token songs (including covers). I can’t recommend the journey enough, just be prepared to FEEL! W O R S H I P
