I listened to this song over and over again when I had just been diagnosed with chronic fatigue syndrome. It helped, and still does help me, to relax and wind down. I love how you analysed the music and her pure, angelic voice. Her interpretation of the song is wonderful - balm to an exhausted and anxious mind. Thank you!

Just think if we all could slow down a little, take a step back and regroup. Bring back all the good memories in our lives, and embrace them. This song is doing just that to me.

Thanks for your great comments, I have listened to this version of the song many times and it's beautiful. My favourite part is actually her reaction when she realises they are all standing. She sings like an angel. I love the lyrics from Chuck Girard to "slow down and hear His voice", it certainly makes me feel that God is there trying to talk to me, and in my busy life I sometimes need to take the time to slow down and hear what He is trying to tell me.

Ya know, I've heard here repreform this song many times, but in this, the first time, there was more emotion than she could bring out herself. Even she says the spirit she sang with elevated her beyond her amazing talent. Thanks for enjoying her and sharing 😊.

Thank you for putting so much time and consideration in to your reaction. I just stumbled in to this channel of one of the best reactor I've seen on youtube. You have a new fan. This live performance from Sissel and the Tabernacle Choir are out of this world. Since I'm a non religious man the words she sings doesen't affect me, but the way she sings them brings me to tears. I listen mostly to rock and funk and has seen alot of live acts. But this is one of the best live performances I ever heard. The angelic voice and a soulfull interpretation transcends boundaries of faith. Amen

I think Sissel Kyrkjebø is so much better now after her comeback some years ago compared to the 80's and 90's. Her natural voice is deeper and makes a rounder and more beautiful sound. She can now sing a wider range of songs. She still has the wide voice register from the 80's so she can go very high if she has to. When I was young Sissel had too much of a high pitch soprano voice for my liking. Now she has a truly beautiful deeper voice I can listen to every day. Her vocal skills have matured so she can express more emotion and voice nuances than before. I noticed Sissel has lately sung quite a few of the songs Angelina Jordan has performed. I have a hard time picking which ones I like the most. It's great to see Sissel is a better singer than ever in her 50's. That made me realize we will most likely be blessed with Angelina Jordan's amazing voice for decades to come. She is only 14 years old.

In the 90s she was in her twenties and singing with the Chieftains and her voice was good enough to be spotted by Paddy Maloney, Prince Charles and others, who noticed la difference. Yes, when she was a teenager, she had a teenager voice but then her latent ability emerged. I suspect she was no different than all good singers and had a voice coach who helped realize what was in there.

I was wondering when you were going to react to the "other" Norwegian super star. Sissel is wonderful and had an early career in Norway much like the newest super star Angelina Jordan. Sissel entered a singing competition in a supermarket age around age 10. She hadn't let her parents know she was going but it was the start of her fantastic career. I love following them both.

I LOVE Sissel. My ex turned me on to her music--which was the only positive thing that resulted from my horrible lapse in judgement.

She still have a beutiful voice, some say her voice was on its peak 20 years ago. A new song from her "I dont know how to love him" ( from Jesus Christ superstar ) fit great whit her age and the life exsperince many women have at that age.
