Absolute nonsense. United were still 7 clear with about 5 games left and chucked it after losing at Wigan and throwing away a 4-2 lead at home to Everton. Even the return game at Etihad was more important in the title race, with as much as you can attribute the importance of one game over a 38-game season.
What a fun season this was.

Humiliation at its finest back then. Man United were definitely upstaged in that match. I can also remember 5-0 demolitions by Newcastle and Chelsea. It can happen any time really when you're not on your game and facing a team with quality, and they get their tails up with a couple of goals. Just a reminder that tactics don't really mean a lot in the grand scheme of things and the mental side of things is where games can really be won or lost.
Sometimes you lose 6-1 to City at home, sometimes you lose 6-1 to Spurs at home But sometimes, you go to Neymar & Mbappé's house & win 2 times in 2 years. Football is funny 😂

Rename the video to ABRUPTLY ENDING the reaction to Man Cotys 6-1 winn
no way
Sir Alex lost 6-1 to Man City and just before leaving, he lost again 2-1 at Old Trafford. Sir Alex was not fired for the 6-1 loss. He retired and we know from history that he was ONE of the best Man U coaches. Ole has lost 2-0 at Old Trafford to Man City and pundits are calling for him to be sacked. Rio is kind enough to suggest that Ole needs a "Mentor with experience" such as the German Tactician now at Lokomotiv Moscow. If Rio is so smart at reading the game, why doesn't he get a job as coach and let us see how smart he really is? His Friends from his playing days are trying their lack at various teams - Ole, Vierra, Lampard, Gerrard etc. Or is Rio just an armchair tactician? It is not like Sir Alex was Saint Alex in his games with Man City. He also lost to Man City a few times both at Old Trafford and Anfield. Ole beat Man City 2-0 in 2020 and now has lost 2-0 in 2021. At least Man U has not suffered a humiliating 6-1 under Ole's leadership. Give the guy a chance. All coaches just need a chance to find a winning formula.

In the FIRST FOUR years at Man U, Saint Alex ONLY managed ONE 2nd place finish. The other 3 were dismal performances. But he was given a chance and we all know the outcome - He was ONE of the best Managers in English Football and won more trophies than all others in his lengthy stay at the realm. Who knows what would happen if Ole had a similar stint at Man U?
