Orton vs. Gunther has unlimited potential, and it will catapult Gunther if he goes over. I'm the biggest Randy Orton fan out there but this is gonna be one of the best move by move stories told inside a ring. Also Everytime Bully talks I get the feeling the fire is still there to get back out there and I love it, so many podcasters seem a bit bitter but Bully is still so passionate it's awesome

KING OF THE RING also had tournament matches in Chattanooga Tennessee and Macon GA at house shows.

I'd love to see both Tony Khan and Eric Bischoff on the podcast at the same time.

It was either go with the 5 star wresting match (Gunther v Randy) or the bloodline storyline(Tama v Jey). I think they made the right choice!

Why have a Bloodline KOTR final? This is why you have fantasy bookers like yourselves and Tony Khan. You never just book something by itself You have to ask Why did you get there? Where is it going? What does it lead to? What feuds does that bring you? What is the payoff at the end? And what are all of the events in between that you are going to sell to make money because you put a crown on this guy's head? Giving him (Jey or Tama Tonga) the crown would screw everything up. I can think of a million reasons why. I can't think of any positives other than "Ohh Haku was a King too." Durrrrr You would immediately undermine Solo's authority because now he is outranked by a king. A king outranks a Chief doesn't he? Especially a backup Chief. Solo has absolutely been the bad guy so if Roman Reigns is going to come back as a face then he's not going to come after Solo ... He's going to come after King Tama Tonga. We just had a rebellion. So now you're going to have another rebellion after that? You can't make this crap kind of booking up!! Jey had one of the worst matches if not the worst WrestleMania match with his brother. He doesn't deserve to be rewarded with a King of the Ring. That is for people who show out like Gunther. I can understand keeping Gunther and Dragonuv away from each other for right now until Ilya gets over more. Perhaps in Berlin. If you don't like the booking its because you think like Tony Con.

With about 4 mins left in the match I actually thought dang they are really gonna let jey win this but then they did the right thing in the end so good match

Jey Uso losing makes sense.. makes you want for more the dude but also moves him into a better position when they decide to pull the trigger with Jey feuding with the bloodline again. Also puts Gunther in a powerhouse position if he wins King of the Ring.

LA Knight was the same they thought he was going to fizzle out but his still credible and now looks to be pushed towards the US Title.

*Really* wanted to see King Yeet crowned over Tonga but after the initial disappointment, I've come around to Gunther or Orton winning this whole men's tourney. Agreed on this tourney being a success too. Something to really look forward to in between 'Mania and SS.

I’m just gonna be honest man there is no way yeet is winning the belt without MITB….or a bunch of injuries his move set is WAY to small, he can’t cut a promo. I like him and think he’s could be a good US champion or IC but if he wins the WWE or World Heavyweight then I’d honestly stop watching because it’s embarrassing. I can name 10 guys who deserve it way more….

Tama v Jet doesn’t need a “king” title. It’s like the undertaker at wrestle mani or any event; where he doesn’t need a title match to have an amazing story.

Orton vs Gunther is gonna be instant classic, No high spots just great story telling at highest level. Randy is the benchmark for Gunther and if he puts in another good outing he’ll be a made man, especially with that big Germany show around the corner. Big things yet to come.

TK coming in the show could do so much good as long as he has fun and can show newer aew watchers why he is passionate about wrestling.

I disagree Jey has been more popular as a single talent there’s no reason to send him back just give this man a title and watch how crazy the shows will be.

You gotta look at any underlying storylines for each person inn the tournament. Yea, Jey vs Tonga makes sense on paper(maybe not for the Saudis), but you have the opportunity with KotR that the Bloodline players don't require. They can still lead to a Bloodline War Games without Jey winning, so it's better to utilize someone else.

The thing about this King of the Ring, is I would have been perfectly content with a Jey Uso vs. Tonga final. In fact , part of me actually expected. But I am very happy we are gonna get GUNTHER vs. Orton. This is what I’ve been enjoying about WWE lately. There are still a few matches and stories here and there where the outcome is not completely predictable.

Bully’s analysis is spot on. Lately Dave has been more miss than hit but he’s never been behind the curtain so it’s fine

I want Gunther vs Orton for the dream match but also because it can make Gunther an even bigger deal if he wins and he'll be ready for a World Heavyweight championship reign. The only problem I see is there aren't many great stories to tell with him as champion right now because Drew still has a rivalry going on with CM Punk and he's a heel. Damian Priest is still a heel now too and the conflict in the Judgement Day is more compelling than anything with Gunther. Seth Rollins is a babyface and he'd have a great program with Gunther, but he's injured and apparently he'll be out for a while. Maybe if Sami Zayn loses the IC title but wins Money in the Bank that could be a good story. On the other hand, with Jey Uso and Tama Tonga there was a much more interesting story with a lot of juice.

not going to lie, as much as I love this show, I always tune out when they start randomly talking about AEW. I get it but I wish when they talk about WWE they stick to it. I don't care for AEW hence why I click on a title that says WWE, I expect to be about WWE not 40% WWE 60% AEW.

AEW is nice because it makes me appreciate how good the mid cards are in wwe and that fact management doesn’t allow stupid extremely unrealistic moves. Like osprey picking up Daniel twice like Roman reigns off that ground….fool fights like Cody and rochette put together and he’s like 5’10 and in average shape

Jey needs to stay solo he's got that pop and they be dropping the ball if they put him back into the bloodline because he's shown he can actually be a singles champ plus Damien Priest as good as he is, he doesn't have that pop

Gunther is definitely winning. He needs his heat back before advancing into the main event.

I love Gunther, but you’d think jey uso vs tama Tonga was the logical final. Maybe too early for that. Orton isn’t winning KOTR.. he wouldn’t want to. So him in the finals would be a dead giveaway. Gunter vs Tama Tonga is interesting but they won’t do heel vs heel like that. So obviously the reign of King Gunther is about to begin.

Im not mad at Gunther winning exactly. Im just peaved that they put Jey in another position where he has the three count that is blocked by interference or ref problems. Jey has been working his @$$ off and for what? To be put back into tag competition & The Bloodline storyline?!? Why get his fans excited to do this to him? Even Gunther admitted that Jey had him pinned not once but both times they were in the ring together. So why is Jey getting so much backlash? This match alone has proven that he is working on what people call Jey's weaknesses. Samoan drop from the top rope with one arm? Come on! I hope that HHH has something better for his #1 Raw pick, top merch seller and one of his top crowd draws. Jey's earned it.

I think when roman comes back the original bloodline will take on the new bloodline. The Wise man will be back at Roman's side. With the usos once again. It will be a good story line

Dave, why would you waste a a huge main event match of this caliber, just to lay the ground work for something that may or not happen in the future? That can easily be done with a backstage segment.

I'd love to see the USOS reunite but I think that Jey has too much momentum as a singles star to just go back to a tag team. For example, Kofi Kingston had a special WrestleMania moment by winning the title from Daniel Bryan and becoming the first African born WWE Champion only to lose it in seconds instead of what a world championship match should be. He didn't even get a rematch, He was thrown back into New Day as if nothing happened.

So 2 things one if they have Gunther just beat down randy that's not good business. You need a good match both fighting great also they have pushed Gunther like crazy already. Second you can't call jey uso main event jey anymore. They don't have him win any big matches so he's just jey uso

The "Main event" moniker is looking like an unwise label for Jey Uso at this stage. Every time he doesn't make the "Main event" it makes him look more and more mid card. Quite happy with the result and the build to the PLE has been good though.
