The best thing about F(x) was that they were SM’s “experimental” group. They’d give them all types of music...which is why they have some of the best b-sides in KPop. Literally they have albums that you might only skip 1 song. You gotta do album listens.

Their albums are top tier truly. They were done so dirty and deserved so much more. One of the first experimental groups in the game alongside with SHINee and were marketed as their sister group in the early days. There is a reason Billboard named their album Pink Tape a top album of the decade! Miss them. 4 Walls live stages were fantastic! And the MV is supposed to be showing the butterfly effect and how each of their actions effect each other in diff timelines and that's why at the end Victoria runs to stop the cup from breaking to stop this cycle. Amber is also covered in tattoos haha

For their first and only solo concert (still pissed), Luna did a rock solo of Red Light and she went OFF. f(x) are known for their albums! The Pink Tape, Red Light, and 4walls albums are all well rounded and pretty great.

Red Light still gets me. The outfits, the concept, the one sided eyeliner, the red, the eye patch, the music, the choreo, just everything was so unique and I vibed with it. Fx was the epitome of unique and I wish their story had turned out differently, but we can still appreciate everything they put out over the years (even now, as we can see from your reaction). I still listen to their iconic bsides constantly, they really were that group with stellar albums. Thank you for the videos!

The whole Red Light, the outfits, concept and everything was so ahead of its time...i can see kpop girls today dressing like that

4Walls was F(X)'s last official comeback and the first and only comeback without Sulli (she had left the group by then). All Mine was like special release. F(X) literally does not have a bad song. All their songs are bangers. Again, another reason why I'm always bitter about what has become of this amazing group. Even though SM has stated that F(X) hasn't disbanded and multiple members have carefully stated they are open to coming back together one day as F(X), they all seem to hint at the fact they're all very busy doing their own thing at the moment. Victoria has been busy doing solo activities in China, Krystal has been acting, Luna's been doing musicals, and Amber has been working on solo music. So I don't think we'll hear from them any time soon, though I do hope they do pull through, the stars align, and we see them together on stage one day.

If I heard correctly, didn’t the members all leave SM after their contracts expired? Apparently Krystal’s ended this year and she didn’t renew with them. I know SM groups never really disband, take SES or HOT for example. I just hope SM lets the girls use the group name as well as let them perform their songs if they ever want to have a reunion. Because just like SNSD, I’m sure they’re all still friends with each other and keep in touch. It’s just a matter of pursuing their own interests right now.

@@Lena-zn4re Correct. And the girls made it plainly obvious that they would love to get back together, even if not under SM. Vic’s used periwinkle purple all the time in her Chinese vids, Amber used periwinkle in her X album, etc. They made it a point to never say they weren’t f(x), so my hope is one day they can buy the label from SM like HOT did.

I haven’t heard these songs for a long time. I’ve been a hardcore fan for 9 years. I never realised how different their songs sounds from debut. f(x) was ahead of their time. When they debuted, not a lot of groups go all out with their concepts! I’d love to hear them create music again in the future. I really miss them. 😟 Thank you for reacting to them! Lower from Luna and Amber is also a bop!

Honestly all of SM’s 2nd gen groups were trendsetters in their own right and created new standards for future groups. F(x), just like other SM groups, were so ahead of their time and it’s a damn shame people didn’t give them as much recognition as they deserved. They received so much unnecessary hate from Knetz for stupid reasons. These are some of my all time favorite songs from them and their Bsides are pretty amazing. Rum pum pum and Electric shock are songs I can still jam out to. Some other recommendations: - Dracula (Bside from their Red Light album) - Toy (Bside from their Pink Tape album) - Beautiful (Bside from their Pinocchio album) They’re all my favorites for completely differently, as they are so different from each other.

The Holy Grail of f(x) songs (in my opinion). Almost the holy Trinity but mine has a bside (Rude Love) along with Electric Shock and Red Light.

Butterfly is also amazing. I know most people say Pink Tape is the best album but I just slightly prefer Red Light.

The 4 WALLS MV is like connected and there are a lot of theories about it. I think it's like a ripple effect..like their worlds are connected and all their actions affect each other's lives. At the beginning of the video, when Amber drops the cup, it causes Luna to spill the tea that she was pouring which then made Victoria trip and fall and probably die. Then when they enter the new world, when Krystal falls into the water, flowers(?) came up on Victoria's tub. Tbh I think that tub was like their portal. Basically, they spend the entire MV trynna look for anomalys and what possibly went wrong till they finally figured it out and Victoria saves the cup..

Of course. Vic learnt the magic of the cups from Anna Kendrick and then when she recorded that 4 Walls video, they had a thing for cups, so she had to save it. Conclusion: F(x) love cups and we loved the tea for years.

After some atrocious styling choices in the beginning of their career, SM really stepped it up in these MVs. Victoria in Electric Shock kills me, Krystal in Rum Pum Pum is DEADLY, and Luna (honestly everyone but her specifically) is a goddess in Red Light. Also, (most of) the outfits and choreo for 4 Walls live stages are life changing.

f(x) has the most amazing bsides! their album Pink Tape, Red Light, and 4 Walls are my favs! but Pink Tape is just another level. Years ago I listened to it on a whim when I barely knew f(x) and I fell in love right away bc every song was so unique and so amazing!! I also love their lyrics on that album just. amazing music

rum pum pum pum era is truly ICONIC Krystal literally started the trend for red hair in k-pop and all the f(x) girls started the styling trend of wearing tennis skirts in comeback stages also the album its on (Pink Tape) was listed as the number 1 kpop album of the decade by billboard!!! all the b-sides are amazing, please check it out!

Fun fact: Krystal is SNSD Jessica’s little sister 😊💗 and are very well known as The Jung Sisters, they even had their own show called Jessica&Krystal, I recommend it.

Fun fact 2: OG Kpop fans call F(x) album Pink Tape, the Bible of Kpop. I recommend you listen to it, that album basically single handedly shaped the sound of Kpop to transform to what we hear now. It’s a GEM!

Amber has her own stuff if you want to check out more of her singing But yeah, f(x) never knew a bad song and was constantly keeping you on your toes for what sound you'd be getting

Oh my god I had no idea you were going to do f(x), I love them!!! I own like 3 f(x) albums, their discography is insane. Rewatching their MVs with you was super fun! I listen to f(x) often so I already know I love all of the songs but it has been some time since I watched their MVs or performances so I had forgotten just how good their choreo is. Which makes me remember that I actually tried to learn the choreo to Electric Shock a few years ago, it did not go well lol. I find it funny that you said Rum Pum Pum is the one you know the least about (out of the songs you already knew about) because you actually heard a full cover of it lmao. On one of your Pristin reactions, they covered it. It has been quite a while since that video though, understandable you forgot about it :) I got into K-pop 4walls was the second kpop mv that I watched on the date of! (after Taeyeon’s I, earlier that month). I remember the ending blowing my mind and I showed it to my friends cause I thought it was so cool even though I didn’t understand what it meant lol. It still is one of my favorite MVs. All mine is also a cool MV, it was filmed and edited by Amber. Also I never caught that guy hiding from the camera, that made me actually laugh out loud when you pointed it out. I wasn’t online when the discord was discussing who they thought would be your bias, but I read a bit of their conversation before watching this and knew you were going to love Luna. She is one of the best female vocalist in girl groups (like Taeyeon level), although you wouldn’t know it by only listening to their tile tracks, but here is the thing: she didn’t even audition as a vocalist, she did so as a dancer! The main dancer in f(x) is Victoria, she is super fluid and really, really flexible. Her style is very different from Luna’s, but I’d say they’re both in the same league, which is really uncommon for a main vocalist, especially one as great as Luna. What an ace! Although I love Luna (and Victoria and Sulli and Amber) my bias is Krystal, and somebody probably already told you this, but I couldn’t comment and not mention this: she is Jessica’s sister! They have a really strong bond that I admire. When Jessica parted ways with SNSD she had rough time and has mentioned countless times since then that Krystal was her rock. I am glad they have each other to rely on in such a difficult industry. SM girl groups in general have been treated differently than their boy groups, but f(x)’s mistreatment was on another level. They only got their fandom name in 2016, 7 years after their debut and the same year they held their first- and only- solo concert tour. They had never had a solo concert till then! Which is inexcusable, they had multiple chart topping songs, they had 4 full albums and 2 minis, and we never got to hear most of those songs live cause they didn’t have the chance to showcase them! Anyway, mini rant done, I’m really glad you reacted to them, I love their music a lot. Thank you for your videos, they always make my day :)

Thanks for f(x) reactions 😭 They have a lot of great songs. One of them is called "Wish List" it's my Christmas jam for many years :) And you should react to their live performances too. They are known for great dancing skills and good choreography.

My tears suddenly drop (without I noticed) when listen to All Mine 🥺 F(x) was the first kpop group I know. They have unique style . I sort of feel that 2NE1, f(x), and 4minute were the groups that pushed K-pop into girl crush mode. I'm sure you can point to an earlier group who started it, but it's definitely these there who pioneered it (and Blackpink who popularized it). While I don't think anyone thinks these groups are underrated (everyone acknowledges how great they were/are), I do feel that sometimes K-pop gives us so much and moves so fast that often these gems get lost in the tornado of content we get. It's nice revisiting these through fresh eyes and seeing that the hits we loved back then still hold up and could compete with modern k-pop.

Agree, although I think at that time f(x) dont really considered as girl crush tho. But f(x) have way more influence than what people remembered, they overall concept are very unique at that time, and so is their music, aesthethics, even their choreo are kinda different than most gg back then.

Forgot that f(x) was supposed to be Shinee "sister group" XD Everyone LOVES Rum pum pum but theres me......that song is my least favourite title track for them 😅 Red light, there are only 2 camp: love camp or hate camp. I'm in the love camp. It was love at first listen. 4 walls, i had to listen to a few times before I started to like it. Also i think Amber tattoo is a full sleeve All mine.......can i say.....last f(x) song? T^T I miss my girls together T^T f(x) was and is amazing!!!!!!!!!! I love this group T^T 80% of the girl groups that I love and listen are from 2nd generation....and most of them disbanded..... I don't know why starting 3rd generation i lost interest in girl groups......I know most of them, but they don't catch my attention.....only a few....

Well, Wish list and cowboy were the last songs of f(x). They came after All Mine. And Cowboy was performed in Japan. What a pity that they didn't make a video of them.

Hey! I have been following you since you've started reacting to Gfriend but my 3rd gen queens aside, I'm so thankful you made these reaction videos of f(x). F(x) defined my teenage years, I was always excited for their songs because I knew that they will come out with another banger that hits super differently. I'm watching this video at 3:30AM in Canada right now and it made me really nostalgic because it reminded me of the days where I would watch them on their tv shows where they traveled to many countries and bonded as a group (look up f(x) Koala if you're interested, it's a super fun show). Anyway, thank you again for making this video. F(x) might have stopped promotions and Sulli might have left the group (and this world, RIP Sulli) which made many people sad but it makes us MeU extremely happy that people are still celebrating their careers, their growth, and them as individuals by revisiting their music. Keep going with the super wholesome reactions. I don't usually like watching reaction videos but you're doing great. Makes me want to kickstart my own channel haha. Cheers! :)

As for the 4 walls mv, I still don’t really know what it was about, but I adored that comeback. I think it might’ve related to the butterfly effect in how they want to prevent a disaster, by catching the cup in the end, because after it fell tea spilled, and someone slipped on it

Yay, Luna is my bias too! :D I love her so much; Other reactors don't seem to pay as much attention to her for some reason, at least from what I have seen, so it's nice to see someone Luna biased as much as I am. Kaia I have a request. Can you react to their album? September is the month they debuted and I know I'm late but I'm pretty sure there are a lot of people missing on f(x) right now. f(x) album is very influential and I still can see their influence till now. One thing that people often forget is that, they probably are the one responsible with how kpop artists sell their songs. Back then idols used to only sell single, after the Pink tape success idols started to releasing full album with a very good quality. There are so many essay videos explaining about that, from their concept, aesthetics, music, etc. I just kinda sad that they barely mentioned in todays kpop discussions. Also thank you Karen for the request and thank you for the videos as well

This brought back so many memories. I’d known f(x) before, but I only really got into them with Red Light. I fell in love with their discography after that. Would definitely recommend the Pink Tape album, it’s so good (though each of their albums have some amazing songs on them).

one of their most awarded song was electric shock. Rumpumpun was iconic and their album pink tape with Rumpumpum as a main single had sold many many physical albums. Red Light remains one of their most epic comeback while 4 walls was the last song they released as a group. I miss fx so much 🥺🥺🥺

FYI: "All Mine" video was directed by Amber too. Yes, Sulli (RIP) left f(x) in 2014 to concentrate on acting & sadly she passed away in September, 2019. All the members supported Sulli when she decided to focus on acting. All 4 members left SM but f(x) never disbanded. There was never an official disband statement by SM. I hope someday SM will consider to invite the members to join some of their events & also hopefully the members can make it.
