Agreed, it's not just his voice though. Even lyrically he just hits straight in the feels. Been a big fan of Dallas Green for years, right back to when Alexisonfire first hit the music scene. Man's a real talent.

Little Hell was actually a tribute to Dan Achen, the guitarist of Junkhouse who died of a heart attack while playing hockey. Never knew him myself, but some friends of mine were cut deep by his loss, including several who played in bands with him, recorded with him, many of those friends I did sound for many times. I guess the silver lining to such tragedies are the art that's created as a means of grieving which reminds us we're all in it together.

Dallas is a very deceptive vocalist. A lot of times you will think he’s singing in falsetto until he ACTUALLY uses falsetto and you’re like OH haha. Beautiful voice and the tonal/volume control he has over his chest/mixed to make it so soft and smooth is just incredible. When you take into account he’s also in Alexisonfire and even does some screaming it’s pretty mind blowing.

I have been faithfully listening to Dallas since I was maybe 14 or 15. His music has helped me at every phase of my life, to the point that I have some of his lyrics and art tattooed on my body. His music really warrants a deep dive - soak up the melodies, the beautifully simple chord progressions, and the haunting voice and lyrics. I have sung his praises for years, and will continue to do so until the day I die.

Dallas is one of my favourite Canadians. He's a gentle soul which bleeds passion. I first learned about him from his much more intense band Alexisonfire, He generally being the calming voice in otherwise more heavy music. Then once he began this side project City & Colour (Dallas Green for those unaware) I was immediately drawn in by the strumming and his silky smooth voice. Some of my favourite from this project have to be Little Hell, Fragile Bird, Two Coins, and Harder Than Stone. All are fantastic examples of his wonderful voice.

If you want to hear some beautiful synchronizing harmonies from him, he did an album with Alecia Beth Moore Hart (P!nk) under the title You + Me. His higher tones and her duskiness just meshed so beautifully.

He’s one of the most talented and beautiful artists in the world ! I have loved him since I was 14 (now 34) I recently got to see him for the second time, here in the UK for his recent tour and album. Most of the songs he wrote for this album including this one are best on loss. Dealing with the emotions of grief. I relate so deeply with this album after having lost so many close people in my life recently. He also wrote an album with P!nk. They’re really good friends and randomly wrote and recorded an entire album in a day? Something insane like that. It’s called Rose Ave. You + Me - check it out if you haven’t it’s phenomenal!! ❤❤

He's one of those singers and his band is one of those acts where it pays to listen with your eyes closed. Saw them last night in Shepherds Bush Empire and it was a spiritual experience. What a performer and what a voice. The music is relatively simple but it doesn't matter because everything is as it's meant to be and everything means so much. Just beautiful.
