I remember him giving a concert in London at Wembley stadium. The crowd just belted out all his songs. A true Canadian rock legend!🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦
Old Brian Adam's, back in the 80's, was awesome 👌🏻

Ditto ❤!!!!
The song was release November 1984. It was a year after I graduated and this was played everywhere. Thanks for all the reactions!
I was 15 years old when this came out. I was born in 1969…Woodstock and Neil Armstrong landed on the moon in the summer of 69
The greatest Canadian rock singer🇨🇦
Love Bryan! What a fun song & great memories 🥰♥️🎶
Bryan Adams is one of the greatest singer/songriters ever imo, I have yet to hear a song by him that I do notl ike, he's especially good at writing kickass love songs!
I was a junior in college, was a lead singer in a rock band, I saw Fleetwood Mac, Joe Cocker and Jethro Tull, Eric Clapton, Led Zeppelin, Jefferson Airplane and others in concert 1969
My favorite song by Bryan...Thanks for reacting.
My decade, my memories!
I was 16 when this came out. Was a big hit. It's still good.😊
I remember this was on the radio during the summer of 1985. I was 17. The summer of 1969 at the time was dubbed the Summer of Love; it was at the height of the free love movement and mostly the hippy and flower child movement in the United States. Bryan Adams is portraying his own story in the video that hearkens to nostalgia as a Canadian Rocker
A song by a great Cdn musician..my teen years represented well
Absolute classic. This is still played on Australian radio somewhere every single day.
But hey, nothing beats 80s music. An empirical fact!
This song is off Bryan Adams Album "Reckless", and was released November 1984.

The whole album is fire 🔥
Saw Bryan and his young band get their start opening up for Journey in 1982….. you could tell Bryan was going places….In the summer of 69,I was going to football practice and getting my first heartbreak.

I saw him in 82 also. He was opening for Foreigner. It was such an awesome show!
I was 11 in 69, and that summer, I spent it near or in the water, fishing, swimming and of course water-skiing! Spent many summers doing this, grew up in the California of Canada some people say and I totally agree 😊 it got very hot 90's and sometimes over 100 🥵😎 which is about 250 miles east of where Bryan Adams grew up, Vancouver B.C
I have seen all the different dates of the release. 1984, 1985. Crazy. But just for the record. The summer of '69 was awesome as were most of the summers from the mid-60s thru the early 70s. Our generation created the BEST talented music groups.
I was 17 in 1969, fell in love for the 1st time, music was soooo awesome! I have to agree with Brian Adams, those were some of the best days of my life. Heck, Woodstock happened in 1969. I really really enjoy your reactions ❤
I've got some great memories from 69. Went to Newport 69 at Devonshire Downs saw Hendricks, CCR, Jethro Tull, Johnny Winter, Steppenwolf, Spirit, Eric Burdon and War, Chambers Brothers, Ike and Tina Turner, the Byrds, Lee Michels and others. Then went to Altamont and saw the Stones, Santana, Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young, Jefferson Airplane, Flying Burrito Brothers. Great year with alot of drugs but I am a survivor.
Saw him open for The Stones.....in the POURING RAIN in Dallas - OMG - WHAT A GREAT SHOW THAT WAS!!! Hugs, Ya'll!!
The drive-in was filmed in Chilliwack , B.C. Canada which is about an hour drive from Vancouver . The drive-in was closed in second half of 80's.
U guys are funny😂 Summer of 84 (when this was released), that era was the best days of my life. I was 1yo in the summer of 69 so was probably crawling around in the backyard, exploring the amazing world within our fence boundary.
Bryan Adams was only 9 years old in 1969, but he used that year because it sounded better in the song than 1979.
i turned 21 in 84 lol...memories lol
...and the music WAS better back then!! 😍😂
Yes it is about nostalgia but the music was better back then!!🎵💜
I just saw him last night in Sunrise, FL, he still puts on a great show! And he has said this was not about a certain year=)
I watched an interview some years back and he said he actually wrote the song about the "other" 69.. I'm paraphrasing of course lol
Not fancy but fun, thats the way we should go day by day....do not worry to be fancy but happy
I will never forget this song as in was our only daughter main dancing song when she made her debut in i think 1998....sigh so long ago it seems!!
Brian rocked back in the 80''s. Love most of his music but RECKLESS was released in 1984. It is an amazing album from start to finish. Check out the song - "It's Only Love" duet with Tina Turner. I was born in 1969 so unfortunately, I cannot provide details of that year too well. The song was written about enjoying the summer and making love. We can all relate, right?! (wink). I was a child of the late 70's/80's and we loved our generation - the music, the fashion, MTV, tv, movies, what we did as kids. Those memories are so incredible! For every generation it is hopefully the same.
Love Bryan Adams. Check out Cuts Like a Knife.
My Parents started dating in 1969 in their last year of school. I came along in 1972. But my parents claim this as their song.
Written by Bryan Adams and Jim Vallance. The video which follows this is Somebody. I was in Vancouver back in 1984, 40 years ago 🎂. BA was recording his albums in Little Mountain Sound ⛰ Studios Unfortunately, we never met. 😖 Lead guitarist Keith Scott 🎸 and drummer 🥁 Pat Steward are still in the band in 2024. I did not exist in 1969. 😖 But my relatives lived in Vancouver in 1969! 😃 Suggested videos 📹: 1 Bryan Adams sings Everything I Do I Do It for You. 2 Bryan Adams sings Somebody.
Summer of '69 I started my paper route. Delivering papers on my schwinn stingray listening to top 40s on my transistor am radio.
Vancouver Beginnings - undiscovered Brian Adams relentlessly drop-off demo tapes to front desk of Vancouver's biggest Rock Radio Station begging to be discovered. They'd only listened to his tapes *after* he became a mega international star in music. His manager was a frequent guest on that rock radio station, but Brian vowed never to return and he kept his promise. (after that screw-up and loss - Vancouver's Radio Station's policy changed to EVERY demo tape received would be played)
I was 15 in the Summer of 69, so much happened in the world back in 69. Jets had won the Super Bowl, Mets came from 11 back and then won the World series. Neil Armstrong landed on the moon, VietNam War Draft ( I will wait for you forever). Music was branching out from the British Invasion, Motown and The Beach Boys to bands where lyrics were more politically in nation. Folks were rebelling against the establishment (250,00 protester's in DC against the Vietnam War). Woodstock took place and they had to close the NYS Thruway because of the traffic. Kids were forming garage bands all over. TV's were off by Midnight, a portable radio was everything. We walked or rode a bike to go where we wanted. Most families only had 1 TV and color TV only became popular a few years later. Now heading to 71 years old, I listen to the late 60's early 70's music because it brings back sooo many memories. Thanks you for expanding your minds by reviewing music of earlier decades! Be Well, Stay Safe. Keep up the cool reviews.
I remember me and girl sitting top hood 69 ford listen to Bryan watching everybody cousins
I was 12..................... Peace and Love from Canada
Been lucky enough to see him live a number of times, this is by far his most popular song the fans want playing
In 69 I was 14 trying to find a way to get to Woodstock.. Well that didnt happen and I have never gotten over not being there.
I was 18 and just graduated high school. I and a friend drove up the West Coast making stops in San Francisco, Eugene, Oregon, Tacoma, Washington, and Seattle. We had to pull into an A&W root beer stand in Tacoma because they were televising Lance Armstrong stepping into the moon. We spent a day at the Seattle Pop Festival, which occurred a couple of weeks before Woodstock. The best summer. The radio played all the time. Those songs I’ve remembered ever since. I always thought specific year’s summer music would make good albums.
In 1969 I was in the 6th grade around 11 years old. Brian Adams is one year younger than me. So don’t use his actual age to compare with the song. I still dig his music!
Hello Sussy and Travis, very good video, I'm not that old but the video represents different eras and I liked it a lot, because that's how it was in the 80's
The more raunchy minds will say this about an intimate act rather than a time period based on the last lyrics...
Check out the videos from his concert at Wembley stadium in 1996. They are fantastic.
I heard this song the first time during my whole holydays on the greek Island Naxos in 1988!! Will never forget this summer❤
They look like they are listening to totally different songs ! 😂😂
Summer of 69' Moon landing, Vietnam war but yes Woodstock, drive-in movies, good times, bad times.
You two were having so much fun in this video, really enjoyed it.
..should have checked out the iconic live performance for Canadian audience
He wasn't talking about the year 69 but the position. If you look it up he says it was.
A Canadian 🇨🇦 Gem.
Such a great song. Bryan Adams have made some great rocking songs. Do you know that he was originally in a metal band?
I was 21 years old during the summer of 1969.
I got married in ‘69 and My daughter was a Bryan Adams fan.
I was only 3 in 1969 but I graduated in 1984 & THAT WAS A FANTASTIC YEAR & DECADE!😂😂
the 90s were a continuation of the radical 80s, which I am so glad to have been a part of both. Sincerely, hat tip to the 90s for keeping the rocking going. It all ended on 12/31/99. lol
Me born 1980.. Best time in my life late 80s,90s and 00s, music was so good and was outside with friends drive bike all day or play basketball. If I was home alone and bored then turn random numbers on phone and make jokes with people 😂😂😂😂
Summer of '69 I was 14 preparing for a soccer tour of Germany....
Got my first real six string in 1973. Love this song. Good one!✌️
I was never a fan, then I saw him live. He put on a great show. 😊
i was 12 in 69 the Apollo 11 landed on the moon July 20th 1969 romanace was not part of my life yet. i did like girls though! lol Great Music in August Woodstock!!!
This came out when I was in High school it was so us, we lived this song.
I am 58 ... I was 4 in 1969 ... playing in the backyard ... tied to a clothesline !
I know what u mean about looking back and everyone having that one memory that make “the best days of my life” because I’m so hoping how nursing homes play like Sinatra in the background. If my nursing home isn’t playing some Def Leppard in the background then I haven’t even lived!!!
According to BA, this is not a song about the summer in 1969, it relates to a more intimate activity relating to the number
nice
geeze 3 minutes before it even starts
My wife 2as born in the Summer of '69 ❤
Hey man, everything was perfect though :)
Googled "For Sir With Love" but was just talking about this song with my barber cuz it was on their playlist. BOOYAH! GREAT SONG!🤘
Brian Adams did a few duets. One of them was with Tina Turner. He also did a concert with Rodger Waters and sang the song " Dirty Woman ". It's worth a listen.
Summer of 69 i was 16yrs in Durham County Durham England we had a amazing time ie Durham is a students venue we had the privilege to see many bands ie kinks free Queen Slade but most of all Tambla Mowtown in our area of England
Unless you've lived under a rock, there's no way you have never heard this song before.
In the summer of '69 I was 2 years old, so all I was doing was crapping my pants lol
i was thirteen in the summer of 69. This is my theme song for my life. i am now 67 soon to be 68

Hope you lived a great life my friend 🤝 I was 18 in 1969. 73 yrs today and can remember delivering milk bottles every morning for a couple of cents.
being at a brian adams concert is always a funny experience, i remember a concert in munich / germany when he was talking to a concertgoer during the concert. he invited him on stage and after the conversation he asked the guy (i remember his name wolfi from the au /au is a city in bavaria) to sing summer of 69 with him and wolfi was about to steal the show from brian.
First off. Just watched the "Last Man Standing" and Suzi you have such an awesome voice! You guys are great. Bryan Adams also has an awesome voice. My first cassette. If you want a softer Bryan, then "Heaven" off of this album is the best. "Everything I Do" is also great. "Run To You" is also a classic and features the same girl from this video. Peace and love and on to the next video!!!!😀👍
He was 10 years old back in 1969.
Maybe the Spring of 69 ! When I was born. Sorry Travis the 80's were the best days. 🤣🤣

Agree! 80’s definitely the BEST! 👍
This is a staple at any aussie pub or bbq
I was born April 69.. southern hemisphere.... so December was that one summer month I was doing stuff. I guess learning to walk was a high priority... maybe recovering from Richmond winning the Grand Final in September too.
It’s not nostalgia, it true…. Music today sucks… 60s, 70s, 80s and some of the 90s were the best, period!
Love bit of Bryan Adams, can’t stop this thing we’ve started, Summer of 69, Heaven ( which was later released by DJ Sammy as a huge summer hit ), Run to you and even the one he did with spice girl Mel C - When you’re gone. And for something different his vocals on Chicanes - Don’t give it up ( dance/trance number )
wow first time saw your real hair. looks so good with your eyes. by the way have you ever reviewed "Always" by Bon Jovi or "Hotel Caifornia" or "Take it to the limit" by the Eagles?? if you can find a decent video of TITTL
I was 17 in 1969, Woodstock happen in 69...
Hello! If you like saxophone you need to listen to Rod Stewart with Amy Belle "I Don't Want To Talk About It (from One Night Only! Live at Royal Albert Hall).
I was 7 yrs old in 1969.
Love the hair Suzy.
I really like your reactions
You both are good together, gratings from Latvia
I can't be the only one who laughed during the intro when said go down a little
🇨🇦
69 Was A Big Year I Remember I was 9 riding my yellow banana bike in my neighbor hood .With my pocket Transistor Radio Oh Memories ! Lol
Fun Fact: Bryan Adams wrote some songs for a band you've reacted to many times...KISS. But he never saw them until a few months ago at one of their final shows.
I turned 3 that September and we were living in Navy housing in Key West FLA. My dad was in the Navy. So we were probably fishing on our boat.
