November 18 Aurora had a live concert in my hometown. And I was in the audience . That was a mind-blowing experience. This woman sings right into your heart and soul. And she is also very funny speaking to the audience between the songs .

Trondheim, the Olavshallen show. Lucky guy!! I was fortunate to have a stop-over there back in 1976. Much has changed, I imagine. For a few video clips, see those posted on Timo Kaneva's KZread channel. I've commented on the four of them.

Honestly, Aurora has helped me heal emotionally far more than I could ever put into words. She really does hit right in the heart. Many of these older songs make me cry every time to this day, but in the best way. Maybe next, go for something with more energy, like All is Soft Inside live at KEXP Iceland

Hola hola Belleza, getting ready for work, Sunday OT, some extra dough, get some more bacon on the table, and it just couldn't be any better., txs for sharing....and Aurora is a very special human, she is so freaking gifted, she is such an amazing songwriter and storyteller, so concerned about the relevant things in our human lives, as part of this huge project called Life.......how could she have written this song at such a very young age......she's absolutely one of the kind, and so insanely cute and talented. Txs for making my day, have a great Sunday

Yea. Aurora has beautiful voice and her songs (she write her songs and produce/co-produce them) are great and beautiful. But what is most unique in her are her emotions and how she express them and how you feel them when you listen her music - and you believe her and her words/emotions. She is true, natural artist. This performance is a masterpiece and whole 1h concert in Nidorasdomen (and in other places) is just a experience and a magic. Also love lyrics and a message of this song, which is positive even if topic is heavy. Most people are like hypnotized/mesmerized and she take all your attention. And she wrote this song at last partially in a age of 9 (and finished it a little later). Even thinking about such topics in such a age is mind blowing. I would recommend next "All is Soft Inside" from KEXP 2018: kzread.info/dash/bejne/e4dmy7icd93Ff84.html . There is also a version from KEXP 2019 but I like more first one - and her performances are unique as she does not perform songs the same each time, she also like to change some aspects like arrangements or some details). Thx for a cool reaction too.

Hi Liz, with AURORA you have found one of the most emotional singers. I always get goosebumps from this song. Her voice somehow hits me, I can't say how, but it hits my heart and soul. So directly with no chance of resistance. The song is her way of suicide prevention. A masterpiece. And you have to consider that she started writing this song when she was 9 years old. What child at that age thinks about this topic? And creates such a song as a result? AURORA's voice is great and works phenomenal in the cathedral. She's so deep into the story she's thinking about. Her facial expression is just the result. At that moment AURORA was somewhere but not in the cathedral. You saw her eyes. She was somewhere else. There are three very unusual concerts by AURORA. One is in the Cathedral Nidarosdomen and the other in a forest where she played a lot as a child. The concert (HAIK) in the forest was organized by NRK TV. But it's not just a concert. They surprised AURORA with different things for a whole day. She was supposed to do a small concert (only 1 song) in front of two fans. Pure emotions, I can tell you that. Then a singer, Ane Brun, sang a song by AURORA just for her. Then another surprise and finally the concert in the forest (7 songs, approx. 40 minutes), which in itself is amazing, fantastic, enchanting... The most important thing about the documentary (38 minutes) are the interviews that are conducted in the car on the way. There you can learn a lot about AURORA. - AURORA HAIK Full Version - kzread.info/dash/bejne/oJOpuY9peKe9n8Y.html - approx. 1h:16m - AURORA - Somewhere Else Festival | 2020 - kzread.info/dash/bejne/g4SFktyMht3VlJM.html - a concert, during the lockdown, without a public - AURORA - Live in Nidarosdomen [Full concert] - kzread.info/dash/bejne/ioyK2aivm7G6dco.html HAIK- Interview Interviewer: Aurora, how would you describe your upbringing? AURORA: I grew up in a very free environment. I was given the freedom to be exactly what I wanted. When I brought home some fantasy friends, Mom and Dad covered them on the table. I got respect when I didn't want to celebrate my birthday. "OK, that's fine." No pressure to change me from home. No need for tags or diagnostic or... Just completely free. I didn't think much about what I was. Why I felt a little different. I didn't think much of it. It's strange when people have to think about something being wrong. Interviewer: When did you realize that others might see you as a little different? AURORA: I didn't think of it until that in 7th grade, maybe. Then it was something that we took such a Mensa (IQ) test. I remember being teased by someone for getting very good results. They said it was because... And then they laughed a little to themselves. I wondered why they laughed at it. Then they laughed, because they thought they "understood" that I was autistic. Because I was weird. It was probably the first time someone laughed at me. The worst thing was that I didn't understand why it was funny. So I didn't understand why they laughed. And it was very disgusting to notice that they realized I didn't understand why they laughed. I felt very outside, in such a way that I didn't understand. Or that they assumed I didn't understand. Just like I couldn't understand that they were rude. Don't get me wrong and think I had a bad childhood. I had a very good childhood. Had a great time whit myself. More like that on the inside. I felt like I didn't belong. No matter how much i tried. But I am put together in a way that makes it go really well. Sorry Liz 😇🙃, I don't want to reveal more. You should watch the HAIK documentary yourself and make a video about it (possibly 2 parts, documentary and concert?). You learn a lot about the human being AURORA. And next to Nidarosdomen, the concert is a milestone in AURORA's musical work. ---------------- I can recommend a very different song: Would you like to hear a completely different AURORA? Then check out this song. AURORA songs are somehow always different from the others, but I think this one is special. You wouldn't expect anything like that from AURORA. At least I think so. - Apple Tree - kzread.info/dash/bejne/c6qE3NmEga7AhMY.html --> "Apple Tree is about the potential that hides in all of us. We can all save the world if we put our minds to it. The world won't listen to scientific proof that the world is dying, so maybe it will listen to the dreamers, the children. In a bleeding world the power of the individual is our only hope. Let her save the world. Let him save them all. Believe in us, and maybe we'll be the generation that saves the world, rather than the one that killed it." (aurora-aksnes.fandom.com/wiki/Apple_Tree)

She makes you think! Why she wrote like this so young? She was 9 when she wrote this..... Aurora had a very good childhood. But she started to think about "facts of Life" early. That we all is going to die one day... Aurora is an over sensitive person, things she read or hear or just know can inpact her deeply, so she needs to write to get over it. She has also had bad things happen; a good friend was killed in the Utøya killings where 69 was killed, mostly youth (avrage 19 years old), a school friend was killed in a car crash at age 18. Her sister is bipolare, and seeing her older sisters struggels I assume has inpact on her. I suggest you take a look at her official video of Queendom. Or her funny ugly (she called it ugly herself 😂) cure for me. Both these off videos are fantastic. Only 7 hours and 20 minutes to I see her live on stage in Oslo! Will be my third Aurora concert.

Aurora is different. She is wired up differently and sees the world in a different and refreshing way. Her songs are different, not just from other composers/performers but from each other. She performs them differently, dependent on her mood at the time, intensely, as with this, or sometimes she is "in" her audience and responds to them.

I don't know that she goes into deep detail about why she decided to do what she did, but if you watch her perform, or listen to the way she views the world in video clips/interviews, you'll figure out why we're lucky enough to have her doing what she does. Her perspective, and concerns are focused in a very different way than most people's.

You are so beautiful and kind thank you for this. This is my favourite performance ever been made. It´s my soulsong. The magnitude in everything she and the orchestra with the man´s choir does is mindblowing. You have done three songs from her and two of them is extremly emotional. I will suggest a very funny and uplifting song for your next one.7/7 - AURORA - Daydreamer - HAIK Concert 2019 . Sorry for my bad english.

This song captures the essence of a perfect and magical concert. Every part of Lucky, from the lighting, sound engineering, musical score, choir, and Aurora's pure heart wrenching vocals, was complete perfection. I think this is my favourite song. I have listened to it at least a hundred times and it still brings a tear to my eyes.

What you say makes sense. It is an exchange what she is doing. A sharing. She creates and maintains a flow of emotions of all kinds. Between her and her listener, between the audience itself. In the beginning, it is a voice, music. And then you dive into a stream of emotions. What better way to share and feel connected? And that's only with one song. Imagine a whole conceret. She changes people, at least for a time. And perhaps longer for others. Nice reaction.

Superb reaction video, Liz. The 'Lucky' performance at the Nidaros cathedral is the diamond of the whole night's concert. The other outstanding performance is 'Through the Eyes of a Child'. I do recommend the whole concert, though. It is certainly powerful and moving! The complete package of her singing, the musicians, stage setup and the filming are excellent. She began the song at age 9 and finished it at 18. Aurora says that she writes about incidents that have effected her personally and events that she has seen in the news or books. There was a family friend who passed at Christmas Eve with all around in grief. She stopped talking, her parents enrolled her in a sign language class. A classmate there died in a car crash - another died of suicide - while one relationship friend was killed in the Utoya massacre. For a more recent 2022 live Aurora performance in the VEVO studio, please check out 'Exhale Inhale'. AURORA - Exhale Inhale (Live) | Vevo Studio Performance As with her earlier songs/performances, she still has rockers and also moving ballads.

As far as i understand, seen her talking Norwigean and as a Swede i can understand her when speaking her native tounge. She had (and still have) a very vivid imagniation and she felt very emotional about things happening in her sourondings as well in the world. And to kind of process these thoughts she had to write about it. That the reason we can see her truly live and become the lyrics she sings, because its actually fellings she has/had.

This is her anti suicide song. She is lucky to be alive. For a lot of reasons. She has lost 3 people in her live before she even hit 18. One to suicide, another to a car accident, and a very close friend of hers to the 2011 Norway terrorist attacks. But she wrote dark stuff when she was younger for some other reasons. But despite all that, she shows there is a place for that pain, but also shows a way to move forward in other songs. Might be why her audience ranges from teen girls to old war vets.

Yet another honest, respectful and insightful reaction Liz. If Nidarosdomen is not the perfect concert, then perfection is not possible. Every performance and technical aspect makes it art of the highest possible quality. Yet the cathedral authorities were reluctant to let this secular performance go ahead. Thankfully for posterity, they were persuaded to change their minds. A suggestion if I may for a future reaction. This is a different side of Aurora, smiling and dancing with "Daydreamer" from her magical HAIK concert of 2019, which was filmed in the forest where Aurora played in her childhood - (kzread.info/dash/bejne/inxhssZxmLy5n6Q.html). I hope you can find the time to watch and enjoy it even if you can't fit it into your reaction agenda.
