To naprawdę niesamowita cecha narodowa.

Nope. ['vrotswaf] is the correct pronunciation. Voiced "w" [v] at the end of a word becomes devoiced to voiceless [f] in Polish. This is due to the general rule of devoicing of voiced consonants in the word-final position, except across a word boundary when the following word starts with a vowel or a voiced consonant.

The description of Świnoujście is correct but the initial images are not. That hotel complex is in Sopot. Świnoujście has a number of great hotels, including a number of well-known five star chains, but the shoreline looks very different. Also, when they talk about the light house, the image appearing on the screen is of “Stawa Młyny”. The lighthouse is that brick tower show a bit earlier. Btw, I do like Sopot but I think Świnoujście beats it hands down due to incredible nature surrounding it.

What you want to see in Poland: Seaside: There are cities like Gdańsk which is worth seeing and then there are many beaches and so on, but the most unique place is Półwysep Helski, especially near Hel and the north side of that spit. So Gdańsk and Półwysep Helski. From Gdańsk you can walk along the beach to Sopot and visit the famous Sopot Molo. Szczecin - another city on the seaside, but very far from Gdańsk. If you plan appropriaely, you can get to enjoy the Festival of White Sails where sail ships come to Szczecin and you can visit them. This is a secondary location. Cities: Warszawa Toruń Wrocław Kraków Poznań Castles: Szlak Orlich Gniazd - about a dozen of castles forming a defensive line across a 200km line. Kotlina Kłodzka - a lot of smaller castles Malbork - the brick castle from the video Lakes: There is about a thousand of lakes in Mazury, if you like lakes, that's the place to go. Mountains: Tatry - high mountains, the highest peak in Poland is almost 2500m. There are plenty of beautifu and well maintained and marked mountain paths. If you're here, you can also think about visiting Słowacki Raj (it's across the border in z Slovakia). Zakopane is in Tatry, but it's better to go to Tatry and not just to Zakopane. It's a good start for many mountain paths, but it's very busy and very commercial place right now. Bieszczady - lower mountains but with great views. If you go in the autumn, you can see different trees being in different stages of losing the leafs for winter so you can look at forests with green, red, yellow and brown crowns all mixed together - it's beautiful. I think these are the most interesting places to see. There are also deep forests but they are mostly just forests. They do have like 400 year old trees in some places, but it's just forests. If you have time you can visit Białowieża with their national park and bisons but other places seem to be much more interesting.

There's also a lot of historical places like a large complex of Nazi bunkers in Mamerki for example. Also every city will have its story to tell, Warszawa is full of such places for example. You can also visit German Nazi concentration camps, they were persevered for posterity - Auschwitz in the south, Stuthov in the north In think are best to visit if that's your cup of tea.

My girlfriend, who is a fan of castles and palaces, has made me visit dozens of them in the recent years. It turned out that most of the Polish castles were destroyed by the Swedes during the so-called Deluge in the years 1655-1660, which left Poland devastated and caused the death of 50% (!) of the population and the destruction of 40% of material property. Worth reading!: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Deluge_(history) The remaining castles were destroyed in roughly equal parts by the Germans and Russians. Therefore, there are relatively few castles left in Poland compared to Germany or Czechia. Wrocław we pronounce [assume it's an English word - Vrots'wav]. If you REALLY want to know how to pronounce Polish, here is a tutorial (funny!): kzread.info/dash/bejne/qaJlz8yCmaWfqrA.html

Hi Mert. You have couple of questions, and I have few minutes. That white castle at the start - Olsztyn near Częstochowa (there ia a bigger city called Olsztyn in different part of Poland). That castle is a part of so called "Path of Eagle's Nests"(Szlak Orlich Gniazd). Number of castles build on hills (12 to 17 castles depend of source, on distance of about 100 miles) . Nanother one is lake in the Tatra mountains Called Morskie Oko. Stunning stuff - dig deeper and You will find real treasures in Tatras... Next question is about anti-communistic dwarfs... That's a story! There was a opposition group in Wrocław back in the days called "Orange Alternative" - bunch of students used their wits to fight communists. They dressed as dwarves and were giving flowers to Milicja (regime police forces) - everybody new that it is a sign of rebel, but they just cant beat people giving them flowers. Crazy times in Poland. I'll get rest in next comment.

9:47 "Looks very Grand" you have no idea how right you are. This is, in fact, the Grand Hotel : ) I grew up in Sopot, that is seen in this shot. To the right you can se Sheraton, and to the left the Balneological Hospital with am old lighthouse. You can climb it for a small ticket fee. I say old lighthouse not just because of the fact that it has it's years, but also because the requirements for the brightness of a lighthouse were raised, which means this one no longer qualifies. But it still offers a lovely view of the seaside. As for the actual lighthouses, there is a trail of polish lighthouses that you can try. It comes with a sort of a booklet where you can gather stamps in various lighthouses along the coast and if you visit enough, you can earn a badge (the badge comes in three degrees - bronze, silver and gold, depending on how many lighthouses you visit). Which is a neat idea for a vacation if you like travelling, the see and sightseeing. Just follow along the coast! : ) Should you however prefer to stay in Sopot, it offers a vibrant night life and a resort life (it was started as a health resort over 120 years ago). It boarders historical Gdańsk and modernistic Gdynia with convenient transport by muncipial train or busses, allowing to see it all easily without the need to change hotels. Well worth coming a bit before the season, in June or a bit after, in September to avoid crowds. Should you ever visit give me a shout, I'll gladly show you around! : )

Porownywalem zdjecia i satelite.

Here's next comment: Castles in Poland - there is several hundreds of castles in Poland. Like shitloads. Can't tell You much about Swinoujście - haven't been there yet. Toruń - Most beautiful gothic city in Europe hands down. To be honest - that's not areal top 6 if You ask Pole...

This alpine-like landscape around Zakopane is probably less than 1% of Polish territory. Poland is not a ski destination. Most Poles ski abroad.

Pozdrawiam serdecznie 😊

Are you German nationalist who don't know history before partition of Poland and thinks everything is German?

At 8:42 it is a mistake. It’s SOPOT, not Swinoujscie. These cities are both nice, but both are on the different part of the cost line. And believe me - no one in Poland would made a mistake between those two cities 😂🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️ And that video have a lot of other mistakes. -Wroclaw dwarfs have nothing to do with the communist times -Warsaw was called the Paris of the North - before it’s destruction during the WWII And yes - the “S” on that building means the Sheraton hotel. This is the part of the hotel. In the past it used to be Grand Cassino, and there is next to it- but not shown on the picture - there is a very nice Grand Hotel standing just next to the beach. The voice on the background had mixed few things together. Basically it was talking about Swinoujscie and the nearby islands - next to the Mouth of Swina River and the sea cost line , and were showing posh city of Sopot where is straight cost line on the Bay of Gdańsk. It is geographically completely two different places ~350 km away from each other 😁🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️
