The narrator is completely wrong about Black Friday. Black Friday refers to the fact that during the holidays, retailers accounting books go fro red to black, hence profit.

Also, Canada has been doing Black Friday for the last couple decades, largely because they didn't want to lose sales to American businesses either online or in person in areas close to the US border. We do still have Boxing Day (Dec. 26) sales here as well, which are similar to the American Black Friday sales, but they don't seem to have that particular thing south of the border.

Black Friday is not called that because they get in fights. The fights and riots or whatever are a pretty new development. It's when the company's go "out of the red" and "into the black" for the year.

3:00. Most prescription drug advertisements airs in the evenings after children have gone to bed. Advertisers know their audience. Sugar cereals & cookies & candy are advertised from around 3-5PM when children get home from school.

I don't know anyone that uses that spray cheese. I had it once when I was younger and it was horrible.

Solo cups are EVERYWHERE lol, from backyard bbqs to work parties. Fun fact, the grooves on the cups represent oz so you can measure without a jigger if you're making mixed drinks

Pharmaceutical companies have a lot of power in the US. A lot of lobbyists in Washington, DC. It doesn’t affect me as I rarely take medication. I do holistic remedies first. But it’s good to know what’s available so that you can be your own healthcare advocate with your doctor. I don’t know anyone who eats the spray cheese. But I’m sure there is, because they sell it.

Its called Black Friday because accountants say youre in the black if youre profitable and in the red if youre in debt.

Just because these things do exist here in the states, the only thing that applies to me is that I do have plastic solo cups, but I have them for gardening purposes and they are great for a gathering of family/friends as a marker is put on the table so you can write your name on the cup so everyone doesn't lose track of whose drink is whose and that applies to any drink like soda or even water not just for getting drunk. Yes, all places have free refills (not on alcoholic drinks) if you are dining there not for drive thrus.

USA here - spray cheese is nasty and barely anyone uses it but there are actually three 'cheeses' here. Cheese - 100%cheese. 'Cheese Food' at least 51% cheese and 'Cheese Product' less than 51% cheese. Tourist Philly cheese steaks use Cheese Whiz but it's like a liquid cheese product. A good steak you go with sharp provolone (my fav) or American Cheese Garbage disposals grind up the food into very fine particles while you run the water and just go through the sewer with all the poop water etc that has to be filtered out anyway. Most homes in the US have a garbage disposal in the sink and...no unfortunately with free refills on alcoholic drinks.

Lots and lots of people have in-sink disposers and use them daily. You run the tap and flip a switch on the wall and the disposer grinds food waste into tiny pieces and gets washed down the drain. They can get clogged with mis-use, but it you use them properly, they're a great kitchen tool.

New Zealand also advertise prescription drugs. I dont think its bad. You cant just go out and buy them, but you can discuss them with your doctor and get their feedback. If they hadn't heard of it, they research it. When i was going through cancer i asked my oncologist about ones that were related. And whatever she said-based on knowledge of the advertised drug, i did what she said. I trusted my oncologist and there is nothing wrong with asking. As we know, meds and treatments are always changing and improving. It allows you to have imput and increase your understanding. These are by PRESCRIPTION only, so your doctor should research it and you should then follow what they feel is best for you.

Perhaps unique to the USA, spray cheese is far less than 1 percent of cheese sales in the USA.

Spray cheese is NOT used on a Philly cheesesteak 😂. Some people use cheese whiz which to me is not an authentic cheesesteak. Most people get some variation of American or provolone.

Medical ads exist outside the USA. Same for Lawyers.

Many people. Including presidential candidates are trying to ban medical advertising. Hopefully, we do.

It's easy to avoid drug ads. Almost all of them are during the local or national news like 5-7 pm because most people who watch are of an age to need prescription drugs. Also, the ads for VERY expensive drugs, the kind that are probably $500+ a month out of pocket. The only time I've ever seen anything medical and asked my doctor about it was for a HPV vaccine for adults. Also, there are TONS of covid vaccine ads.

Free refills are T fast food, gas stations, restaurants, etc. It covers coffee, tea, pop-i dont think alcohol though. TGIF is American as is Subway and they are in the UK. The refills are unlimited.

Yes, since childhood, we would always brush our teeth thrice daily, pretty much after every meal. In my opinion, there's nothing wrong with good hygiene. We also take two showers a day. When I've been out of the country friends and people would say What are you doing? I'm taking a shower. You just took a shower in the morning time and I would say yes now it's night time time time for another one!

Free refills does not include alcohol. It's usually all the soda fountain drinks, coffee, tea, and water (Coke, Diet Coke, Sprite, Rootbeer, etc...)

Best US invention: peanut butter. We only throw scrapes of food off a plate; not a whole bag full. We have newer bigger pipes. The food isn't as bad as poo. We also compost spoiled food and peelings. Black Friday is named after the stores are in the black on their ledgers; so everything they sell is pure profit. Which is why they can give deep deep discounts. People use the discounts for Xmas shopping or big ticket items they need. Free refills are Soda, coffee, hot tea, and iced sweet tea. If you want to understand why we love our flag so much watch; The star spangled banner as you've never heard it.

The best American invention is the A-10 Warthog. We loved that sound when in country. No free refills don't include alcohol.

Garbage disposals grind up food waste and it goes down the same pipes as restroom waste. I don’t think ground up potato peels would be the biggest concern at a waste water treatment facility

My mouth was wired shut for 8 weeks after jaw surgery. Without spray cheese I would have gone mad as it was the only thing I could eat by squeezing it towards my back teeth then sucking it through. YAY for spray cheese.

Pharmaceutical companies advertising their products do not affect me. I appreciate being informed of what’s available. I have never used spray cheese nor have I seen my friends use it. It’s pretty silly

It does affect you. There is a reason US Healthcare is the most expensive.

People who thinks that a pill is going to help them would go to the Dr. would ask for prescription drug, I don’t think that a Dr. would prescribe a pilll just because a patient ask for it.

Cheese in a can?! I’ve lived here all my life (43 years) and I’ve never even seen spray cheese. No thanks.

The garbage disposal has gotta be the most American thing on there. A lot of the others are technically true, but a lot of Americans would look askance at them as weird. But Americans do love their garbage disposals. If you can throw food in the trash, that's easy too, but it makes it easier to have the option of washing dishes and and grinding any roughage down the drain.

Garbage disposals are common here in Canada. We call them "garburetors". Really. :) We also have college sports in Canada but they're usually not televised until the end-of-season playoffs. Businesses and government buildings fly the Canadian "Maple Leaf" flag very commonly. I guess we've been infected by Americanism :)

In Canada we have all of these things as well. We're like a mini America but we didn't hate the British. And we have better education, health care and less violence for the most part.

About the disposal is bullshit. We all don't do that. Yes, we have them in our kitchen sinks, but all the friends and family I know use it once in a blue moon. All our stuff goes in the garbage can. If you use a disposal and don't clean it, it starts to smell like food decay. This is why I don't use mine ever.

What kind of drink is he talking about? A $2.00 pop from a restaurant is an expensive item on the menu unless he's drinking an alcoholic drink.

Why do you Brits always forget about Canada ? The US and Canadian economies are totally intertwined. If it's in the US, it's virtually certain to be in Canada as well. FYI, the Garbage disposal is actually a grinder. It literally pulverizes the food before it goes down the drain.
