    @BallSoHardRavens I mean we say that like it's some point of pride which is weird. I think it's a pretty big fucking problem when we decide to randomly shit the bed against the Colts and Steelers, and in the Cleveland game we straight collapsed in the 4th QTR.

    You get it man. If you look at his games this year, you really can’t pick out a game where Lamar played bad. Before anyone tosses the Steelers game out, his receivers dropped 8 passes including two TDs. His stats aren’t always there but he does what he needs to do to win. Ultimately, that’s the goal of any sport.

    There's more than the PIT game. CLE game stat line: 13/23 for 223 with 1TD and 2 INT. A game where they collapsed in the 4th QTR I might add. The JAX game: 14/24 for 171 with 1TD and 1 INT. The LAC game: 18/31 for 177 with 1TD. Again these aren't "bad" stats by any stretch, but just pretending these are suddenly MVP numbers because of the 49ers game? Is the MVP a season award or just a recency bias award? To put it in perspective, Cam Newton's 2015 MVP season, a year they went 15-1. That one loss was the second to last game of the season against the Falcons, where Newton went 17-30 for 142 with 0 TD's. Were we supposed to throw away his whole season of excellence for one bad game at the end? People are going way too hard into recency bias and knee jerking because they got embarrassed for picking the 49ers to win. Also why is it ok to excuse Lamar's TD numbers away on drops but we nobody excuses two of Purdy's INT's that were caused by Tipped Passes? Just curious why one gets a pass and the other doesn't. This is all coming from a Baltimore fan by the way, I don't give two shit about the MVP and the good news is Lamar doesn't either, this is the year to make the SB run, not worry about stupid individual awards.

    @@thisismyyoutubecommentacco6302 Cause if you look at the film the ravens without lamar would loose majority of their games. They'll be close because the ravens will play hard that how they are but lamar is that x-factor where defenses cant focus on stopping one thing. Ansering your question cause lamar already made the play to give his receiver the chance to catch the ball and they didnt do their job purdys interceptions especially the tipped passes were bad decesions on him ie the second int he should have never thrown that to CMC

  • @thisismyyoutubecommentacco6302

    @thisismyyoutubecommentacco6302

    @@damnitschris_ I love how this year we're going to just completely disregard statistics and go with the "eye test" and completely defy the convention of the last 5 years at least. If we had always judged MVP as strictly "value added" then I wouldn't mind this so much, but this year it's like everyone just decided on a whim to change the criteria because they saw one game on Christmas. Also, I didn't mention the Colts or Steelers game where the drops were significant, pay attention. I pointed out both the JAX and LAC games where his stats are pedestrian at best, and the CLE game where he literally choked in the 4th QTR. Just for clarity, MVP's of the past 5 years including Lamar Jackson himself in 2019 were never lower than top 5 in TD's, and Top 3 in yards. Just to compare, here's Lamar's 2022 statistics. 203/326 62.3% 2242 yards 17TD 5.2YPA 7 INT's in 12 games. This year, while playing 3 more games. 289/436 66.3% 3357 yards 19TD's 4.4YPA 7 INT's. With 3 extra games, he has only 2 more TD's? And his YPA is down almost a yard? Was he MVP last year? Like I said, I don't care if he wins MVP or not, frankly I think it's a stupid award because of how everyone quantifies "valuable" differently. If he wins MVP, great, who gives a shit, this is the year to make the SB run regardless of stupid individual awards.

It's because y'all buy into each other's hype and just keep the hype ongoing and then act like it's a fact and be surprised when games turn out differently. Anyone who watched the Ravens this year knew they were just as good as the 9ers. It's the NFC as a whole that's bad, which is inflating the 9ers perceived value.

    Here’s a fact! The WORST AFC NORTH team can beat the BEST NFC CONFERENCE team 85% of the time! The AFC North plays a different style of football ya’ll! The 49ers are indeed the NFC’s BEST team right now, but are 1-3 against AFC North teams this year. Truthfully, if the Steelers were to play the 49ers again, I’d pick the Steelers to win, the 49ers just caught the Steelers at the beginning of the season, that’s why they beat them. As a Ravens fan, giving the Steelers a compliment kills me, but Ravens fans respect the Steelers organization and their fans. It’s a love/hate relationship built on mutual respect, and the Ravens show that same respect to the Browns and Bengals too. Sure, as a Ravens fan the Steelers, Bengals, and Browns are MOOKS, but they are OUR MOOKS, and we respect them because they represent OUR tough division! If either the Steelers, Browns, or Bengals make it to the Superbowl, I’m playing Macroeconomics and rooting for any of them to win. It makes our division look better! AFC North teams need to stop hating on each other when the playoffs begin, well, unless our AFC North team is facing another AFC North team. If not, you root for the AFC North team to win! Keep our tough hard-nosed play style going and having other teams fear us for generations!

    Chris is usually extremely thoughtful with his takes but his Eagles bias is showing here. Seems like he’s been waiting to pounce since the Niners embarrassed his eagles. Why is Purdy held to a different standard than the rest of the league? His body of work so far has been excellent but you cherry pick this bad game to knock him down a few pegs and talk about how low his floor is. 11/28/21 that’s a four interception game by Lamar. Quick Google search yielded that result, so I guess these two have the same floor after all. Mahomes is having a bad year because he has no WRs but Purdy is a system QB because he is only playing well with the weapons around him. I guess the same can be said about Mahomes since even you say he’s having a bad year with no weapons. This whole segment was pretty garbage from a usually thoughtful person.

    If talking about value in a literal sense (Market Value)Tyreek Hill isn't even as valuable as Daniel Jones, let alone Tua. So, no it's not debatable. If this were the best player award, that would be a different story. @@Lidogz

    @@stolve8847 Disagree, what were TUA’s numbers under Flores and b4 Tyreek? If anything I would give TUA comeback player of the year because after that Bengals game last yr I thought he would never play again.

    I repeat Lamar Jackson is not an elite QB. His defense is so he always played with a lead. He has 10 games of a QBs score under 60. Against Cleveland he threw 2 INTs. He is not at the level of Mahomes, Allen, burrows and Herbert.

    Watch the tape Long. Watch Purdy's decision making, accuracy and athletic ability. Dude is a legit QB. How many SBs Dak won? Allen, the lost goes on......how did these guys look in their 2nd year. The hate for this young man is ridiculous....if his name was Jamal Purdy we'd all be praising him.......brutal take doofus

    No the Ravens aren’t winning the Super Bowl. They don’t have anybody other than Lamar running the ball how long do you think that will last? He’s prone to get injured doing that. The 49ers had a terrible game. But what team doesn’t have bad games during the season. My vote is for San Francisco. Just because san Francisco lost this game doesn’t mean they would lose next week. They had several key players out on injured reserve. They were not a healthy team. The cowboys experienced a healthy 49er team The eagles experienced a healthy 49er team the ravens were fortunate enough to get a busted up 49ers team. The ravens suck every year. Every year the ravens lose and they will continue losing every year this year and next and the year after. Look at the rams winning the super bowls 2 years ago and haven’t done anything sense. They got a game against an unhealthy 49er team. In many years of the NFL Ive learned that the best teams in the NFL are not the ones winning the Super Bowl. Injuries play a huge factor in those losses to the lesser teams.
