The song was not necessarily about what they did but more so about the stories and culture of Compton California.

You ladies are listening too the holy grail of rap .muzic and legends in their own rights and band. God bless you all hopefully you all enjoyed your journey thro exploring the world of rap muzic. Music in general a great form of expresionalism and art and of one expressing themselves in that plain of existence. Rock n rap music is of my favorite ones although I get into different moods and listen to little bit of everything too.🍿💜🎼🎵
You'll be a lot more shocked when you listen to *NWA - Dope Man* (album version) and even more when you listen to *NWA - Fat Girl.* Fantastic tracks, but not catered to many sensibilities. On the other hand, their seminal *NWA - Fuck The Police* is a unifying track across the aisles, and another straight up banger. What's interesting though is that Dope Man samples from the 1972 track Funky Worm by The Ohio Players and the 'color palette' of that sample alone birthed the whole East Coast sub-genre of G-Funk. And back to the sensibilities, in Dope Man misogyny is actually employed as an emancipatory device, with how much of a 'scaring you straight' anti-drug song it is, in spite of all its raw-ness.

They are SELLING a GANGSTER lifestyle. It is meant to be degenerate. They aren't going to speak nicely about women, and shouldn't. Murder, cops, guns, drugs, burglary, robbing, arrest everybody's smiling along because they think they're meant to. Then he says some derogatory things about women and everyone is clutching their mouth and gasping like this is really unacceptable. "Cop hating" in 2023 is about the most lame mainstream thing you could do. I'd say you're all 2 faced lames. Agree with all of it or Agree with none of it. Stop just blowing what ever way you are told to and take the music for what it is.
People weren’t “soft” in the 1990’s. I really miss those days. Eazy E is still my favorite rapper of all time.

Did you know eazy E dad played on the original recording of that song. Played a trumpet or some other horn. Only for his kid to sample it the next generation.
first time i heard cursin on the radio was when i heard this song back in the day
the camera work was done like that on purpose to demonstrate the bleak circumstances of L.A.. Also at the time of this video NWA (along with Ice-T) were some of the main critics of the LA police system which is where a lot of the angry energy was coming from. you can blame a lot of the misogyny of current rap on NWA and the early days of gangster rap. Before NWA, most rap was more playful and mostly about partying or competition. i was curious about how you ladies would respond to MC Ren's verse and i saw a very honest response...lol
Dre was the music & beats. NWA started in some crazy times with Gang Killing , (Crips & Bloods).😎

NWA's Straight Outta Compton brought a message of anger that was occurring. This is 1988. There was police brutality, racial profiling and unfair treatment that was happening. Finally, there were the gangs. It was the Crips vs the Bloods. The original Blue vs Red. NWA's message was that they had enough of what society was doing to them as young black men and to minorities. Whether you were Asian, Latino or Native American. In 1988, the youth related and connected to this in a major way.
That has changed 😂
Haha with youth like yall we're all effed.

Nice reaction. Cool to see younger people from a different demographic react to the classics i grew up on. One thing though kinda caught me off guard an had me laughing. Yall paused the video an seemef to get offended at them saying the B Word an saying F them etc. but just before that they are rapping about mowing down innocent people with assault rifles, terrorizing communities filled with poor opressed people by committing violent crimes, being ruthless gang members etc an yall had no problem with that but when they say bitch they have gone too far 😂 This new generation is kinda funny at times 😂 any way peace an love nice video.
