I quit college in ‘73. In high school I listened to Blind Faith, Cream, Zepplin, The Who the Grateful Dead and Hendrix. In ‘73 I started working at Caterpillar and living at home. I was buying and selling amps and guitars frequently and buying records weekly. Then I went down a long deep hole of the blues all the way to the beginning listening and reading everything. But I remember this record and this song….like a knife.

When this album was released in the UK in 1966, it caused a storm. No one had heard anything like this in England before. The genre was strictly American. EricClapton joined them because he was also following a blues path.

My Dad is a huge Mayall fan and has a first pressing of the Bluesbreakers Album with Clapton, the cover is not in great condition because its been played to death but the album itself has only minor scratches that don't really affect the sound.

unfortunately a lot of guitarists started with john then went on to be great guitarists the group seemed to be a stepping stone he just didnt seem to get the recognition they deserve they were brilliant

Paul Walker, I believe he was very difficult to work with.
