Funny you've mentioned Electric Callboy, as they've acually told in an interview, that part of this video was inspired by them, but not the work-out theme but the silly TikTok dance (with sunglasses at night 😎) at the end. While their original material is usually in German (with some Latin here and there), they started doing cover songs in English in 2020. The upcomung album Warriors is their first fully in English, the majority of the songs being re-recorded translated versions of previously existing songs with one or two now ones. It's a Thank You to their non-German fans, accompanying the 20th anniversary, and them reaching out to an international market. While they started as a straight up parody band back in 2004, they do have some more serious songs/ videos too (Im Bauch des Wals [pollution], Das Herz eines Drachen [Hauptmann's relation to his late father], I See Fire [Ed Sheeran cover], Hier kommt Alex [Die Toten Hosen cover], Malleus maleficarum [witch hunt]). Some songs are based of/ inspired by legends, tales and fables (Metnotstand im Märchenland [it's from 2012, the oldest song they played when I saw them live in 2023], Krampus, Bastard von Asgard, SGFRD Dragonslayer, Skaldenmet).
