Thank you for the Faouzia reaction and bringing her more exposure. I believe she is one of the best singers in her generation at the moment. Truly a rare talent. Everything from her rich and powerful lower register to her sultry bright head voice is simply chef kiss. Dont think her voice has fully darkened and matured yet at age 21. I truly can't wait to hear how it'll sound 5-10 years from now when she's in her prime! Let's hope the music industry won't let her voice go to waste. @@HegeOfficial I would also recommend her Desert Rose but the live tik tok concert version. She does an insane run in there that she doesn't do in her Abu Dhabi concert.

My heart goes out to you for being such a wonderful supporter of our beautifully talented Faouzia ! She is the real deal , a singer's singer ! She uses all of her registers to their maximum and her vocal agility is off the charts ! A balanced controlled singer who can comfortably sing through all her registers so seamlessly and effortlessly ! Faouzia's songwriting is so musically and lyrically tremendous ! You never know where her next note or phrase is going to go and that's just her ability to write so melodically ! Imagine Hege this was the last song of this concert and she was sitting down and she nailed it perfectly ! I would suggest any song from this concert " Tears of Gold" or "How it All Works Out" both are fabulous ! But any of her songs are really fantastic ! ⭐️ My favorite cover from Faouzia is “Slow Dancing in a Burning Room”. With piano instead of guitar, it has a different impact. Her cover of J. Cole’s “Middle Child” and her version of “Blue (Da Ba Dee)” are notable for the way she interpreted them. Her acoustic version of “Tears of Gold” has had the most reactions. It’s her best song. And most Faouzia of all her songs. My personal favs are still the stripped versions of “Bad Dreams” and “Born Without a Heart”. Of her new songs, there was a live Twitch for Amazon Music in May that included “Anybody Else” and it’s just her and piano.

"I Know", "Thick and Thin", "Minefields", "Don't Tell Me I'm Pretty", "Hero" (demo version--piano and strings--she hits a C6!!!) :) And too many others. P.S. Just look for stripped, piano, or live takes of her songs--you won't be disappointed!

⭐️ she put out a EP called Citizens. You can see her perform it at the Grammy museum. “Don’t tell me I’m pretty “ Minefields”, “Anybody else”, “ RIP, Love”,”I know”, “Solie”(she invented a new word), “Thick and thin’, and of course “Bad Dreams” the lyric videos are beautifully done.

Great reaction. If you are looking for more stripped songs then I would suggest "Tears of Gold" Stripped or from the live concert. If you want to see how she handles pop music then either the video for "Minefields" for a ballad or the video from "Puppet" for dance/pop. "RIP, Love" is another great pop/dance song.

Her upcoming concerts are in Amsterdam, Berlin, London, her French concerts are in Montreal, Canada. She had said that she was going to have a concert in Paris, but it’s not in her concert list.She has a video(Stromae cover) Papaoutaie, and mes Cicatrices.

Another beautiful song from Faouzia, I love it. Otherwise there is also Angelina Jordan who has cover of King Elvis "Suspicious Minds" : kzread.info/dash/bejne/hIiWrcqkk8i4YJM.html A very nice tribute just before the release of the movie on Elvis. Angelina is breathtaking : bewitching and full of melancholy.

I love the song, and her performance, but I do not believe this myth that it is one of her best technical performances. She’s done better than this technically. Her head voice[Minus the yodels which are flawless. The head voice is flawless there, but you know the head voice I’m talking about with the sustained notes] is not in its best form here, though I think that’s a stylistic choice done on purpose.

Don’t get me wrong the head voice is beautiful. But she’s doing it on a closed vowel which affects the ease and the openness of the sound. It could’ve been much more resonant if it was an open vowel, but that being said it’s still very beautiful and she’s doing it on purpose I’m sure. I think generally that is a style preference of hers when she’s singing in head voice even in her other songs.

Oh, I replied to your previous one so I didn’t realize you updated it :) I think I’ve heard clips where her head voice sounds more rounded, but like you said, the closed vowels and that sound might be a stylistic choice. I think it works well in this song at least :) I loved every second of this performance tho. Her control, her musicality that shows in those gorgeous improvisations, and the flawless yodels you mentioned.. *chef’s kiss* 🙌.

The “Elon” line is irritating; he’s a jerk. She has a nice voice but it didn’t “do it” for me. I would be interested in your take on Kimbra-an artist from New Zealand who sang the duet with Gotye. She does a duet with Dawn Richards, “Version of Me.” This one gives me goosebumps. ✨

@@HegeOfficial Yes, ‘whispery’ is an approximation of her tone; a bit of a departure from her other songs. Their voices sound great together and I prefer the duet over her original solo version. The bridge is what gets me and the video feels so intimate, it’s as if one is eavesdropping. It’s obvious how much you love music and your observations are valuable. ✨
