This song is Demi's story. She had a drug and alcohol problem and basically overdosed in 2018. She was clean for 6 years and relapse unfortunately.

It’s so crazy that it came out right before it all happened. If you haven’t watched her documentary on KZread it’s worth a watch!!

But at least she's clean again now and hopefully by the grace of God she stays clean because it would suck to loss her to something so incredibly horrible.

I completely agree. It sucks that she relapsed but as least she is learning from it and trying to move forward. She is such a wonderful woman and so very talented. I dont think I did watch the documentary but I will definitely check it out!

This was one of the hardest react videos for me to watch. Y'all touching on the people surrounding an addict was so spot on. My mother is recovering from an opiate addiction. As a child and young adult, I stayed around simply because I loved her. She needed me. Now, with children of my own, I realize the strength and importance of walking away, too. My children need me and I want to save them from what I experienced. Addiction is absolutely a demon. It is a hell that an addict never escapes. Thank you so much for this reaction.
i love this reaction 😍 please react STONE COLD MV BY DEMI
Depresion is real i been dueling with it 4 years no matter How many pepole around you feel alone so you drink do drugs ect i hope everyone out there who going though it god is with you love you all wish u best
She's openly had opiate and alcohol addiction problems and was recently hospitalized and in rehab due to relapse.
@ddcarpenter1790

Though rehab only does so much. An addict will only get clean once they truly want to get clean. Until then it's a cycle of relaspe, overdoses, criminal/civil consequences, hospitalization, etc.
Demi just recently had a very serious drug overdose /relapse after being clean for 6 yrs. She has struggled a lot in her teens right through to now
The older I get the more I realize the saying should be, "Sticks and stones will break my bones, but words will kill me."

Yes words can truly hurt!
She's had a drug and alcohol addiction for years and years. She has her story on KZread I believe where she sat down and talked about it. It's a good one to watch. Please do a reaction to Demi's, Stone Cold!!

She Still has that addiction. It never goes away.
It is when you are by yourself. That’s when the demons get you. It’s a battle every day. When you relapse it makes you feel like a utter failure. It hurts, life, sometimes taking that drink or snorting that line is the only way to stop the hurt. It’s when the noise is loudest I feel my most vulnerable to my addiction
Demi is so relatable to people because she shares her struggles as well as her triumphs. She's so real and so honest and I love her for it.
You should do: "Demi Lovato- real voice (without autotune)" She's a beast of a singer
Great discussion. I'm a nurse/paramedic and I have dealt with many people with addictions. Some of my colleagues just don't understand it, and think these patients are a waste of time and resources. But I always have an affinity for these people. ANYBODY can become addicted to a substance. I've known people who had been prescribed opiate pain meds from a doctor after and accident. And then when the prescription from the doctor stops, they realise they are needing that drug. So they end up buying it on the street, then they lose their job, their home, their family. It can happen to you, so nobody should look down at people who are vulnerable, or think "that could never happen to me." Only last week, there was a homeless lady I used to see regularly. I work night shifts and when I got home I would take my dog out. I would give her a sandwich or a flask of coffee. Then one afternoon, there were police and ambulances near where she would often be seen drinking cans of beer. I found out she had been found dead. I have been to calls like this many times in my job. But it's a bit different when you have kinda got to know the person. And it broke my heart. And Ashley (is that your wife's name?) I totally agree with you about words hurting more than anything else. I was once in a violent relationship, I was beaten regularly, and my confidence shattered by the things he would say. I left him years ago and built up a career that I love, but this may sound strange, but the physical violence was bad, but it wasn't the worst, it was the put downs, the name calling, the being called useless; that has stayed with me to this day. I never feel good enough. Sticks and stones can break your bones, but words can break your heart. I drank a lot after I left him, I wasn't an alcoholic but I abused it. Then I stopped, it just made things worse. Sorry for rambling on, but I really got into your discussion and had to comment. Love to you both and your family.
Can you two please do Demi Lovato Father?
Wow...This song had those tears falling, the emotion she put in the song touched me deeply. Thank you for bringing this song to my attention!
GREAT Reaction video. Love watching your videos this song hits really close to home I have been on and off pills for many many years.
It's not even just the physical symptoms like the shakes, it's the mental hell that goes with it that is worse.
I know what you mean about smoking. I started smoking when I was about 10 years old and didn't quite until I was 35 years old. But if the truth be known, I didn't quite....God delivered me from smoking and some other vices. Thank you Lord Jesus!!!
My grandma used to be a smoker and my grandpa would always nag her about quitting. But honestly, the more he nagged the more she didn't want to quit. He used to be a smoker, he quit cold turkey. Then he started chewing tobacco, and quit cold turkey, so he thought because he didn't have trouble doing it that no one else does. All that to say, I can't imagine how hard quitting an addiction is, but I know it's not impossible because people do it every day. You just have to decide that you want it. I don't think anyone can get you to quit something until you decide that you need to.
React to Christina Aguilera feat Demi Lovato - Fall In Line
Stone cold by Demi!!! You will love it!!
We are all humans and we all share the same earth and the same air and we all will bleed the same red blood and we should strive to be as one race and that race is the human race🧡💛💚💙💜
It killed me the first time I heard this song she was singing it live and she broke down when she sang that line and the fans went crazy. And it just hit her so hard all the support they gave in that moment. It was beautiful.
She’s definitely one of the strongest persons ever.. she’s a warrior. SHE’S A FUCKING WARRIOR & I look up to this beautiful woman in so many ways. She gives me so much strength. I’m forever grateful for her🙏🏼🦁❤️
Stone cold is my favorite Demi song. Y'all should do that one
U should definitely react to more Demi
As a family member to a few people who battle addiction to drugs and alcohol this song hits hard. i listen to it a lot and just break down and cry. I lost one of my uncles to addiction shortly after I heard this song for the first time. He has been gone a year and what made it harder for me is i saw him the day before he passed away.
Thank you for this reaction. And thank you for the absolutely spot on discussion. Being a recovering opiate addict myself, I can tell you that y'all nailed this one. Probably my favorite reaction video to date. ❤
Yes Demi has dealt with A LOT since her teens. She was bullied bad when she was in school as a kid, battled an eating disorder, diagnosed bipolar, depression, battled with alcohol and drugs. I love her though shes a fighter. I grew up with her since she was on Disney Channel with her tv show "Sonny with the chance", movies "camprock 1 and 2" with the Jonas Brothers and Alyson Stoner, "the princess protection" with Selena Gomez. She also did "Barney" when she was a young kid with Selena Gomez aswell.
I loved that song so much to be said about addiction, great great reaction FAM 💯
Bless her she said only when I'm lonely
Good to see Queen with you again!! Yeah Demi is a great Vocalist but has definitely had her ups and downs with substance abuse unfortunately. Hopefully she can stay sober and live a happy life!!! I will say I'd hate to be famous and going through it like that, because I've seen video of the Paparazzi being just plain D's to her to just get a reaction. It's horrendous.
On February 5, 2014 I got a call from my daughter. My 9 week old grandson was at our local hospital and the doctors were not telling her much about what was wrong with him. It turns out that while my daughter was working, his father had shaken & severely abused him. They air lifted him to Levine’s Children’s Hospital in Charlotte, NC. We were there for the longest time. One weekend, Demi Lavato came & performed for the kids. I thought that was the sweetest thing bc she was pretty big then bc of her covers of songs from Frozen. When I heard her addiction I wanted to tell ppl who were such fans passing judgment on her. No one is perfect even though sssssooooo many ppl think so highly of themselves to think they are. I am all about the unconditional love & respect for everyone. Life is hard enough but to put judgments against you for not being perfect is extra heavy on a ppl. Why can’t we all just help each other through life without having any issues with what others do, who they are or the choices they make. Love & compassion are the keys. We will all make mistakes.
Thank you, from the sister of an addict. It's so hard.
My girl is back! ✌️Put Queen in more videos damnit! Lol 😂
PLEASE react to Father (live), My love is like a star (intimate performance), in case (live)! They're gorgeous emotional songs, really good react material, and her best vocals

Would love to see you do some reactions to Amy Winehouse's music, especially the from her first album 'Frank'.
Sometimes addictions turn you into something you never thought you would ever be like a liar or a theif. Its hard to be an addict....but being in recovery is Amazing!! I've been listening this done for a while now
My Queeeeen!!! Demi!!
I'm really glad you did this video. If you didn't, I may not have ever seen this song. I've lost a lot of peeps to various demons. It's tough to see someone you love go through that and sometimes to see them go for good. Thank you for bringing some light on this stuff. One love.
if you want to know more watch simply complicated by demi lovato is amazing
My daughter is recovering addict it's been a difficult road but I have stood by her the entire time the last 10 years she is finally a vet tech and seems happy I pray every day that it's over for her 🙏
It about herself. The struggle of self love and trying to love others while loving herself.
Yes she's an addict. She overdosed back in 2018. 3:27. "Wake me when the shakes are gone and the cold sweats disappear". That's what happens when a addict is having withdrawals after not having taken any drugs for a while.
Absolutely. I feel this song one hundred %. When I drink to oblivion i go to my past life ways and take drugs that landed me In prison. I hide it from my wife and I know it's just a matter of time before I'm fully engulfed in my old ways. Thank you for reacting to this song. For real
You should definitely check out the documentary it's so good and explains so much better and more about Demi I mean she's sober again now but it just sad that it took her to be on her deathbed for her to realize that she needs to stop before it's too late. I still love her though but at the same time i had so many family members die from drug's and alcohol that when she went through all this it made me a little bit mad because my mom's sister completely stopped and still died but she continues ends up in her deathbed and still lives. But then i realized that's sometimes is those people's time to go and some people Journeys aren't finished i hope u 2 stay blessed💕🍀🙏
Wow that is a powerful song. Especially when you have or maybe even going through it. I know with me it's easy to fall back on old habits when something happens in your life
I love this reaction 😍
I love it when i watch people who actually know what they're talking about for a change, You guys are amazing, also can u please react to her documentary?!
A regular spot with your Queen, to cover this type of genre...Maybe even a day with your son/s, as he did bring you to the rap battles. This will really make it a real family affair. Thanks for a great channel ✌🏾👍🏾🇳🇿
You guy's are great in see that and saying that we as fans put too much pressure on them most of the time
please react to Simply Complicated! it’s a documentary from 2017 on her story. it’s very enlightening and inspiring. it also shows some behind the scenes of the making of her latest album, Tell Me You Love Me.
My first time hearing Demi Lovato, so thank you for the reaction. She has a beautiful voice.
like the title says great discussion indeed. thank you :)
Great reaction #newsub 💙
This is a really good reaction about something deep
Pepsi addiction is no joke!! No beer or drugs for me but I'm addicted to my Pepsi...

Caffeine addiction man My friends mom drank more Pepsi than water.
I've had 2 main vices in my life. One was gambling. That almost cost me everything, twice. The other was pills. While I never got too out of hand,I was definitely addicted. The withdrawals are pure mental hell. But so far I've managed to stay on the so called straight and narrow.
The team is back welcome miss lady
Her best ever performance in my opinion is her singing "Stone Cold" live at Billboard's Women in Music... absolutely amazing!!!
Fantastic reaction Matthew. I shared my inspiring life saving story and life saving career work at Mobileye Intel with Mrs Demi Lovatos manager Mr Scooter Braun and with Demi herself.
I started smoking when I was 13 years old at 37A doctor told me that I did not quit smoking only had 5 years to live because of lung and heart condition I just celebrated 5 years of not smoking but smoking was so hard to give up you crave it every day.
Thank you for being so honest about addiction. I’ve beaten my nicotine addiction so I know how hard it is to beat. Alcohol is a whole other beast though and I can’t do it.
This one is it
This song is her story. Every word in that lyric is her fight for winning herself back so yeah
This is Demi story and she wrote it for everyone. You should check out her song Father she wrote that too and it can also explain this song too(shows her vocal ability more too)
this song came out when i was dying at home from liver cirrhosis. i had no idea how serious my health issues were. it was an odd feeling of “how the hell did someone else write this? I couldn’t put how i feel into words better than this “. I’m doing so much better, i stopped at the last moment where i eventually was told i no longer needed a transplant. my health is better. but it’s interesting to hear commentary from, imo, “normal people”. (Normal being those who haven’t suffered with addiction in its many forms). I think THE most important thing you both said in this video is recognizing those who love us addicts. Who stick around. And also recognizing his touch of a decision it is for the vast majority who don’t stick around. Addiction is a disease that ruins way too many lives - probably way more than just all the addicts. They really are the true MVPs like you said. Thank you both for opening this discussion and not only trying to find sympathy/empathy/understanding, but excelling at it.
React to the Chris Herran story, From and star athlete to an addict in the NBA and no he tells his story to HighSchools around the USA, It’s truly inspiring and very relatable to me, besides the NBA and college thing. I think you will enjoy it, also your amazing together while reacting keep it up!!
You really need to react to her documentary, it's amazing, you'll love it
Demi did a cover of Give Me Love by Ed Sheeran and it is AMAZING if you want to check it out. (The Capital FM Session)
creed tattoo on my sleeve is a good one like this.
I love this reaction so much cuz this song is very personal. Her drug addiction is developed I believe from her abusive father who also used to be alcoholic, seeing somebody understand the meaning of the lyrics in a reaction video is satisfying! She will release her first song since her OD back in 2018, it will be an emotional song and she's gonna perform it on the Grammys it would amazing if y'all would react to it
It’s definitely her story. She overdosed on heroin a few years ago, and almost died (apparently she needed narcan, and the friend who found her was told by paramedics ´ that if he hadn’t done so, she would’ve died within five to ten minutes). She also had trouble with alcohol and other substances, but, as far as I know, she’s been clean since then. I think this song shows how she feels (or felt) when using. If you want a real gut-punch, watch the official music video for her song Dancing With The Devil.
i was an addict for 10 years i've now been clean for 6 years i was abused in every way as a child i never had a child hood i was diagnosed with anxiety at 9 years old he also said i may have depression but he didn't want to give me pills until i was 16. 3 years ago i was diagnosed with PTSD i have had it so long it took a while for the diagnoses the mental health service was hard to get an appointment. i used drugs to help me to forget it didn't i ended up spending at least 100,000 thousand pound in 10 years i was a lot happier on drugs i don't want therapy i don't want to bring it all up again i have no good memories at all i wish i died all the time i stopped eating anything but a pack of crisps a day i prayed that i wouldn't wake up i still do............
I would love to see you all react to her Grammy's performance. It was her return to the spotlight after her overdose, not that long after this song came out!
Nicotine is a stimulant and one of the hardest additions to kick.
She wrote and released this song a few days before she entered rehab last year. This is about the constant struggle for her.
15:57. That's true L. You don't know who your real friends are until you become famous or suddenly win the lottery. Because then you've suddenly got a whole bunch of "friends". A Swedish saying.
More Demi Please
I understand how you feel about cigs. I'm currently trying to stop, but like you said, the hardest part about kicking the cigs is that I'm used to smoking while having an alcoholic beverage and after eating. Congrats on beating your nicotine addiction bro.
I didnt get the notify for this...
Demi Lovato is a recovering drug addict and wrote this song after relapsing after almost 6 years of sobriety!! She Overdosed last year and almost died, she went back to rehab after being released from the hospital and has been sober since then. I have been a Demi Lovato fan from the beginning and continue to be. Please check out more Demi Lovato!
Damn it's sad she was a true inspiration to me while growing up I use to watch her and the Jonas brothers on camp rock when I was little . I can't believe it . This song was actually written before she over dosed herself it was a goodbye song
She had a bad drug& alcohol battle. She suffered from a lot of self image issues, weight issues. Sad story! She overdosed and they brought her back to life.
She relapsed bac in her Disney days she was addicted to coke. Then she OD'ed on Heroin a few months ago. She has always been open about her addictions once she got sober
You two need to react to Mr. Mom by lonestar :) its about dad stayimg home with the kids
Listen to Dancing with the Devil by her. By the way, you guys are spot on with what you are saying in your conversations!
Got to check out keisha praying
He got everything right.
She was and alcoholic and a drug addict since she was a teen. It's how she was able to cope with all of the bullying. She was being bullied even after she became a star on the Disney channel for Camp Rock.
For there by the grace of God go I!!
She was/is an addict. She overdosed on Heroin and suffered through a lot of traumatic events. Her story is really heartbreaking
You guys should really react to her documentary Simply Complicated. I know it's not something you normally do, but it's a beautiful documentary and you'll understand every single song of her you're ever gonna react to. The documentary is not necessarily just about her as an artist but as a person with a lot of personal problems. I think everyone can learn something from it! The documentary is from before her drugs/alcohol problems started again, so just keep that in mind if you're gonna watch it.
Kelly Clarkson- Because Of You Christina Aguilera ft. Blake Shelton- Just A Fool Two great songs, I love your reactions
you should react to simply complicated, her documentary it explains a lot about he story
Yeah alcohol withdrawal is not fun and not something to mess with, it can be life threatening if it's bad enough. I wish more people would talk about this more, I've gone through DTs several times (Delirium Tremens) which is severe alcohol withdrawal and you can have the shakes, hallucinations, and seizures. If anyone is dealing with this, I'm no doctor but if it's concerning to you please seek medical help!!! Alcoholism is really hard to deal with because it's actually one of the few drugs that can kill you from withdrawal! We get into this cycle where we do not want to stop drinking because of the withdrawal and more alcohol takes those symptoms away and that's what people do not understand! Very touchy subject for me.
React to her album confident
I read she celebrated 4 years of sobriety and is going to do a documentary. She has a beautiful voice.

Mine was more the comfort of a routine than the cigarettes themselves. I don't like change so easily fall into ruts and get comfortable in them even when they're destructive.
