    @@benm7824 The fact is that ALL artists care about their success, their positions on charts ... The problem is that then you see artists who don't make music for passion, but for fame and money and although this isn't something really "bad" is actually mediocre because you don't want to touch anyone's heart but only their pockets. It's a pity that this became the music of today.

    If a song/dance can make someone who used to be an artist literally cry and flinch.. that's when you know BTS has done it.

  • @btsforever5187
    @btsforever51874 жыл бұрын

    Someone interpreted the dance like this: “You can see in the beginning how he tries to stretch his wings and fly...but the shadows retaliate and begin to kick him down. He tries to escape, but they refuse to let go, pulling him back into their embrace to torment and consume him. Suddenly, panic overtakes him and he breaks free. He refuses to let the darkness suffocate him so he shuns them, throwing them back each time they come for him until they're gone. He's finally free. He begins to stretch his wings again but nothing happens. The shadows are gone, yet he is still unable to fly. Why? Were they not the ones smothering him? We then see it dawn on him that he cannot do this on his own. He goes back to face the darkness. They once again throw themselves at him, trying to suppress him and at one point, they threaten to completely devour him, but he throws them off and this time, he takes control of THEM. You can see that now when he begins flexing his wings, the shadows mimic his movements as opposed to fighting him. The scene ends with him stretching his wings and the shadows lifting him up, allowing him to finally fly. The darkness that he had fought and run away from so vehemently, was in fact the very force he needed to succeed. The entire performance perfectly reflected the message of this song. We cannot run away from our shadows. We must learn to accept them, make peace with them, and realize that they are often the driving force that propels us forward. Knowing the lyrics just made this performance all the more powerful and moving for me, personally. I hope more people can appreciate this masterpiece. It deserves more than a quick once-over.”

    This Song has a very deep meaning ... it shows BTS fears that they would lose they're passion that is performing on stage ... the shirtless guy represents bts and the ppl in black represents their shadows .. At first Bts is trying to run away from they're shadow but then at last they try to accept their shadow that is they're darkness and continue to fly... The quote "A dancer die twice ,once when stop dancing and the first dead is the more painful death" I guess all artist can relate to that

  • @404gram

    Everyone have their own meaning and interpretation, RM had different interpretation to the dance even though he knows the lyrics, it can be because he focused more about how he thinks the dancers interpretered it or because he has different take on the lyrics themselves than the Fandom. But they all the time stress that their lyrics and music open to interpretation. Also I do hope this is your own interpretation, and not a take from someone else that you accepted as collective truth :/

    Honestly I wasn't expecting ANYTHING like this. Sure it was somewhat clear that the album would get a little "darker" than persona considering the whole theme of Jung's Map of the Soul but seeing Black Swan (and Shadow) I honestly have no clue what to say. But what I DO know is that if the whole album is somewhat like Shadow & Black Swan then I'm going to cry the whole damn time so I better stock up my tissues.

    Actually BTS has a lot of depth and layers of beauty and meaning into all of their songs, even their more poppy ones. People often miss that because they label them with superficial "boy band" label. For long time BTS fans this release was something new but it totally fit with their ongoing level of artistry and meaning. With this new album BTS will continue to be the honest and vulnerable artists they've always been, but go even deeper

    @@Aatish2k8 Right now they are way beyond being just kpop idols (actually the label "kpop idols" is hurting them and also other Korean groups who are trying to make it in the Western market, because they are not taken seriously). BTS are getting more and more respected in America and worldwide as the true artists they are. If you're talking about the Grammys, read about the recent Grammy corruption scandal and you'll understand why they didn't get the nom. It's all about connections and who do you know in the academy. They just announced a huge US and world stadium tour in 2020!! But the racists and BTS haters will always be there downplaying how huge and amazing they are. Anyways, thank you for respecting BTS and for praising them :-)

    To be Honest despite BTS has suffered so much from the starting and they were trolled for their music and they were said that they are not artists and besides all this in the today's world where Nowadays Artist wants is only Money, fame, reputation, audiences,popularity, etc,etc and there exist BTS who just fear of loosing their Passion for the music, BTS ladies and gentlemen.❤️

    i feel her, i literally felt the song especially when i read the lyrics, if for martha retiring from dancing was her first death, and for bts not being to do/appreciate music anymore would be their first death, mine is not being able to draw anymore, i have been on a creative block for a year now, and because of this song... i finally understood what i was feeling every single time i hold a pen and not able to draw anything, i felt like i was dying, so a week after hearing Black Swan, i started drawing again from scratch, i forced myself to draw, it might sound like a bad method, but i can feel the inspirations come in again, i don't want to experience my first death this early...

    I really felt this hard and when I realized that BTS was being so raw and open with their experience as artists and their fear of losing their passion, it really hurt me too. It made me remember what I was so passionate about since early childhood... the hopes and dreams and effort I put into it.... and it also made me relive that moment I realized that I was losing my love for art and performance. It really felt like a part of me died and it was hard to find motivation and inspiration to continue to create... I’m grateful that since discovering BTS in 2016 i was able to get thru that loss and I’ve found new hobbies and passions that bring me joy everyday (learning languages, painting, and YES GIRL still music even tho it’s not for an audience 💜). I’m so proud to be ARMY 🥺💜 also Black Swan (both versions) is my favorite song off the album, whipped from the start lmao🔥

    The fact that you're Korean makes u understand the lyrics deeply by just listening and it seems like hit u in the emotional real hard. I saw a lot of western reactions and someone really crying though the lyrics even they read it by Eng subs in the vid. But by the Korean, I know it gonna hit u harder cuz sometime translation is not that explicitly like Korean language and seeing u cry though the lyrics makes me emotional too bc u as a Korean can feel the emotion they put in the lyrics and comprehend with it. Your reaction is rarely to find. So I'm really thankful that u made this reaction. Thank you🙏🙏🙏
