When Angelina was a little girl, her japanese grandfather took her with him into Oslo, where he helped the homeless community with food and sometimes a job. The streets of Oslo saw her growing up. When this man knew he was dying, her told Angelina " Stay true to yourself and you will never regret what you do." and "I will be on the Moon, see verything you do. You will NEVER be alone" Today, Angelina honors her grandfathers heritage by helping, very dicreedely, the homeless community in LA. I've been amazed and a huge fan of Angelina's for more than two years now. The fact that she wrote such a totally complete song at fourteen years is a testament to her genius. Shield is another masterpiece by Angelina and she has written other pieces of wonderful music. With a great career ahead we can expect many many more beautiful songs and performances from Angelina Jordan.

Angelina Jordan Astar's sister, Juliette, played the part of young Angelina. Juliette is 6 years her junior. The man in the video is her uncle, Michael Astar. He is his son of Angelina's grandfather. I can only imagine how cathartic this must have been for the 3 of them to take part in together.

This IS a very emotional song, and it seems like people feel it with the losses of their own heart. Such a powerful song. It really touches a universal nerve. Yes, she was very close to her grandfather. It is my understanding that he took her with him when he visited the streets of Oslo to care for people in need. He had a role, too, in her exposure to the old classics. As husband to her Grandma Mery, they were very supportive maternal grandparents from day one. Thank you for this reaction. This was a beautiful and heartfelt reaction! Thanks! She wrote/recorded this at age 14 (first Republic Records recording) in Fall of 2020. Her maternal granddad (Grandma Mery's husband), whom this is about, passed away the previous fall 2019. I'd encourage you to watch an even more powerful and LIVE performance of this song from her Norwegian concert tour last summer 2022 at age 16. It's more slowed down and the mournful cry she gives toward the heavens at the end of the song is something few ears can listen to without being overcome with emotion! ALSO, her paternal granddad passed away in (I think) 2018 when she was 12 (someone correct me if I'm wrong). But there is a video of her singing Elvis/Willie Nelson's "Always on My Mind" as a tribute to him as well, very shortly after his passing. You definitely should react to it -- but have a box of Kleenex on hand! Sorry, I don't really know how to send links!

This was a tribute to her grandpa, the shoes the sweater are grandpa's, his photos are in the wall in the hallway and the little girl playing a younger version of AJ is AJs little sister and the man playing grandpa is her uncle (and manager)

It's a shame that she lost both of her grandfather's at such a young age.

I've NEVER been starstruck. Even as a kid. But Angelina has reached my soul through my ears. I need to hear her at least once a day. I've never heard anything as beautiful as her voice in my life. Music is such an important part of our lives, for so many people. Angelina takes us on journeys through each song she sings and often conjures up memories. She is an artist of the highest order. "Million Miles" changed me for the better as it allowed me to properly grieve the loss of loved ones.

Angelina Jordon is sooo good. If you haven't seen her audition on America's got talent try to listen to it. I think at that time she was 13, it was a great performance.

So our lives are short… and I think that line refers to it… “an empty bubble to be thrown”

Shortly after she released this her other grandfather passed as well. So both were gone by the time this music video was released and both of their pictures are on the wall. Its because of he Japanese grandfather that she speaks japanese, and her grandmother Mery Zamadi is fluent in Farsi, and the fine arts. She produces and directs many of Angelina's videos and makes several cameos. AJs primary language is Norwegian, and I assume if she ever has a weekend off she will help the Nobel committee forge World Peace.

Her paternal grandpa passed in March 2018 & she dedicated the song Always on My Mind right after the funeral. Then in Nov 2019 her maternal grandpa of Japanese decent passed & she wrote Million Miles for him.

This is a song we all can relate to in one way or the other. And Angelina allowes her emotion of the moment speak when she sings the song. Watch the different video's of this particular song: they are all different and each of them is wonderful. I would not say "one is better than the other". They are different.
