So happy you got to this. I think it is their best collaboration. Lzzy wrote her own lyrics, which really are excellent. The Mongolian lyrics are based on a 900-year old poem written by a soldier who had to leave for battle without saying goodbye to his wife. A fuller version without Lzzy is on The Gereg album, and well worth hearing. Lzzy attempted some throat singing at the point where the timing switches to 4/4. Jaya, the band member standing next to her was an instructor in throat singing at The Mongolian State Music and Dance Conservatory and taught her what he could in the time available (it's not an easy thing to learn). The "whistle" is actually Enkush performing a different type of throat singing that produces 3 tones simultaneously. The bass guitarist for their first album and tour and in this video was Batkhuu Batbayar. For fun search The HU 360 video. There are two, Yuve Yuve Yu and This Is Mongol recorded in the studio back in 2019 or so. Using the icon in the upper left corner you can navigate around the band and see all the instruments, including Ono's original skin spirit drums.

The juxtaposition of the young childhood photos alongside their adult faces reminds me of my own mother; she often said that all the ages we've ever been continue with us throughout our lives, and one of her favorite pastimes was to scan the faces in a crowd, and imagine what all these serious, rushing, adults looked like as five-year olds. ♥😊

I have been out of the loop for a couple of weeks. My daughter just called and said that you had reacted to Women’s Song and that you called me out. So I dropped everything to come and listen. Thank you so much for reacting to this and for mentioning my name. Made me smile like a madwoman. You are the best!

So if you like Lzzy Hale, you should try *The Warning.* Lzzy saw them perform and immediately tweeted that she wanted them on tour. Cut to a year later and they're opening for Halestorm and The Pretty Reckless. Lzzy interrupts their set by coming out onstage, kneeling, and presenting The Warning's lead guitarist/singer with a Gibson Explorer. Try 'Evolve' from the 2023 MTV VMAs to start. The Warning Army will come.

Really nice analysis. I enjoyed that a lot. I think that a couple others have recommended a band that Lzzy Hale took on tour, The Warning. Three sisters from Monterrey Mexico. I saw them open for Halestorm a couple summers ago, and they just killed it. I think a great introduction would be EVOLVE from the 2023 MTV VMAs.

There is no doubt this is a great collaboration, but could I dare to suggest that their collaboration with LP and Mother Nature is even better. East meets West enjoy !

I've been following the HU band for some years now , starting with Wolf Totem, and Yve Yuve Yu, and everything they do is just tremendous. This one is no different in that respect. They wrote and performed some music for Star Wars. Two other collabs I love are Wolf Totem feat. Jacoby Shaddix of Papa Roach and Yuve Yuve Yu [LIVE @ SiriusXM Studios] with Danny Case from Ashes to New. And of course, this one, which gives me chills.
