Fun fact, mirotic is one of those songs that was sold to different artists in the world, so there's at least one other version from a German artist calles Sarah Conner - Under My Skin. There's been a lot of 'plagiarism' talk back in the day because people didn't know about it :p

I'm always searching for TVXQ reactions so I'm really happy to find yours!!!! I REALLY RECOMMEND YOU THEIR JAPANESE SONGS!!! As you read in Wiki they really hit big in Japan. At the moment some of my favorite songs form them either 5 or 2 members are Japanese songs.

So for TVXQ songs to listen to: Wrong Number, Catch Me, Keep Your Head Down And react to JYJ (the 3 members that split off) Get Out. And if possible, please react to solo stuff from the current TVXQ members: U-Know - Follow, Thank You, Eeny Meeny Max - Chocolate, All That Love Thank you so much for reacting!!!

DBSK as five were vocal gods, their a capella was something no one else could match and I'm going to forever be salty that money got in the way of their talents as a group, even if it did also precipitate some positive changes. But you also need to look up Tri-Angle with BoA and The TRAX, because babies, but if you just want the duo definitely need to see you react to Keep Your Head Down. XD And then yes, you need to do JYJ as a group and also Jaejoong and Junsu's solo releases. The duo was on break for military service reasons, Changmin finished his service and they've both put out solo stuff, but Yunho got into trouble at the start of the year and had to drop off Kingdom, but that was months ago, so they could be working on new music ... or acting ... or both? Could be both.

The youngest member won at an audition for sm and got put into the group right away at the age of 14.

They started off as an acapella group so their vocals are really powerful My favorite live performances of them as 5 are these ballads; Bolero and Love in the Ice (at Tokyo Dome), An acapella medley (Begin, Hug, Whatever They Say at Budokan), or Tonight (3rd asia tour in Seoul) Or a super energetic 'n hype song like "22. Rising Sun (TOHOSHINKI 3rd LIVE TOUR 2008 〜T〜)" (it's gotta be typed exactly like that if you want to check it out on youtube) There's a channel called Evergreen 5nly that uploads really high quality performances of TVXQ as 5 too C: I also forgot to add that they're always lined up in a certain order because of their vocal positions in acapella. Thank you for finally reacting to them. It amazes me that you’re so unaware of them. Personally, I got into their Japanese music first because they’ve contributed a couple songs for One Piece (5 members). I later discovered their Korean music and been hooked ever since. Their a cappella are mesmerizing and to me easily stand above any other group. Since it’s coming close to the holidays, I suggest to listen to Magic Castle. :)

It's because the 3 of them had left their agencies with tribunal turmoil that the idols of today are a little more free!! After that the 3 of them started a new band called JYJ : Jaejoong, Yoochun and Junsu Jaejoong and Junsu also have solo carrier. I advice you to check on JYJ too!! ✨

In fact, what you need to do is listen to (react) to their live performances. Then you can understand everything. The performances with their ballads are wonderful. Songs that sound better live than recorded. The emotions that they give through their voices and eyes, movements. Clips will never give it. Although they are cool (even if they look old and sometimes strange on this time). Watch live performances with bolero, taxi, my destiny, holding back the tears, love in the ice, begin, forever love, don't say goodbye, kiss shita mama sayonara, wasurenaide and ectectect. Or live jyj with songs like W / In heaven Besides, this is an acapella group. I can say that they can really create music with their voices and you don't even need instrumental accompaniment. You can see "DBSK - Acapella collection". Although there are complete recordings or parts of the programs from their acapella. They were really incredibly harmonious together. all five r still holding the top vocalists spot in the industry.. they all got beautiful voices.. Xiah Junsu is still ma no.1 vocalist in Kpop.. you should check out their Japanese stuffs (under the name of TOHOSHINKI) like Proud, Love in the Ice, Why did I Fall in Love n Bolero.. W from JYJ (trio that left) also so beautiful to listen to..

it would be more accurate if you add jaejoong as no.1 vocalists in kpop with junsu in facts, jaejoong was voted no.1 vocalist in kpop and he is technically better than junsu but they both are my no.1 best vocalist not only in kpop but in the entire world including taeyeon from snsd

They are one of the best acapella singers I have ever known. My recommended songs will be ‘Bolero’, ‘love in the ice’, and ‘Tonight’ in live concert version :)

Fun fact (because you mentioned Britney), TVXQ debuted 26th Dec 03 at a showcase with their label mate BoA and Britney Spears.

So you like the newer song because you only listen them in this era, music is very different back then. If you lived in their golden era 2005-2009, you will be hyped back then. Their vocal and music was the best. Japan fans were and still respect them so much, without them 5, kpop will not go smoothly enter japan industry.

I think what you really need to check out from DBSK is Bolero, performed live in Japan. That's shivers down your spine, I promise. Vocally, they were just superior at the time.

True, as a duo TVXQ are waaaay better~~ I think you may like their song "Truth" x) and also their lives are must-see) like Keep your head down, Dirt, Before U Go, Catch Me, and special live "TVXQ - Intro(Drop) + Mirotic + The Chance of Love [2018 MBC Music Festival]"... actually, there's a lot to watch x)

Here is some background to help you understand the dynamics of TVXQ better. TVXQ (English and Chinese)/DBSK (Korean)/ Tohoshinki (Japanese), which each are the abbreviations/acronyms of the words in each language that translates to mean "Rising Gods of the East," debuted in 2003 as a 5 member group. But, in 2010 three of their members left SM Entertainment and the group and formed a new group called JYJ -- the initials of the members: Junsu, Yoochun and Jaejoong. (JYJ is still a group and they still produce music, but because they left SM Entertainment -- one of the most powerful and influential companies in the industry -- on less than ideal terms, it has made it more difficult for them to promote themselves and their music. So the members of JYJ are more known as actors and producers than they are as singers now.) However, Max/Changmin and U-Know/Yunho continued as TVXQ as a duo. This year will be TVXQ/DBSK/Tohoshinki's 18th anniversary, and even now as a duo they are so talented that they have the vocal range to cover all the parts of a song between the two of them, including rap. "Mirotic" is a made up word that really has no meaning, but it is derived from a play on the word mirror + otic -- the title was originally supposed to be something like mirror but they thought the word sounded better if you added otic to the end of it, (it made it sound cooler, or something.) Think of it as the words mirror and exotic combined -- that's just how you pronounce the title, not the meaning of the word. "Mirotic," which came out in 2008 when they were still a 5 member group, is a classic in the Kpop world and every new rookie group -- both boy groups and girl groups -- learn this song and choreography and almost every rookie has performed it on music programs, award shows, at showcases, etc. at least once in their career. This song, like SHINee's "Ring Ding Dong," Girls Generation's "Gee" and Super Junior's "Sorry Sorry," etc. is pretty much compulsory for everyone in the entertainment industry to know and learn the song and dance to, no matter how young or old they are. In the MV for "Mirotic" the woman is supposed to be a siren, like from Greek mythology, and she is supposed to be tempting and trapping or luring the TVXQ members to her. Like they say in the song "... I got you under my skin ..." But in the end you see how the members have broke free from her control. (Often in Greek mythology the siren, through her intoxicating love powers, lures guys to their deaths.) Also, you should know, that the "red ocean" they are referring to in the song has a double meaning -- TVXQ's fandom is Cassiopeia and their fan color is red, so when you attend a TVXQ concert you will see an ocean of red. Welcome to the Cassiopeia fandom. If you like TVXQ then you are a Cassi. Yes, TVXQ truly are all-time legends in the music industry. As an SM Entertainment group, it is no surprise that TVXQ are outstanding vocalists. Being some of the best dancers and vocalists in the industry is what we have come to expect from all of SM's artists and groups. That's just a fact about the type of people SM selects to be a part of its company. Changmin (the youngest member) was 15 and U-Know was 17 years old when they debuted with TVXQ, so even though they are one of the senior Kpop groups, Changmin is only 33 and U-know is 35. TVXQ is SM's most senior group, but U-Know and Changmin are still younger than, or the same age as, many of the members of the legendary groups who came after them within their generation. They are best friends with Super Junior and they pretty much all grew up together. Changmin is quiet, calm and level headed and prefers to be alone; and U-Know is loud, high energy, intense and prefers to be with a group of people. Tohoshinki (TVXQ) are one of the most famous singers in Japan as well, even among Japanese artists. And like SHINee, they are so popular in Japan that they are considered part of the mainstream music scene. TVXQ has one of the biggest worldwide fan bases and they sell out some of the largest concert venues in the world. They are SM Entertainment's top selling group, easily selling out concert tours around the world.

I know you want to see the two, but the other three have had it really hard afterwards. They were kicked out of their entertainment company and group after they challenged their unfair 13 year contract. They ended up blacklisted in Korea and Japan for over 10 years now. This meant unable to promote on TV music and variety shows, which are Asian idol lifeblood. TVXQs contract, signed as young teens, kept them under debut payment and bondage, with no change in conditions or payment no matter their phenomenal success. All idols can now have contracts no longer than 7 years due to the JYJ Law. OK, now you need to check out TVXQ's song and MV "Love Line" which is part of this same album. Both songs are from their Chapter No. 1: The Chance of Love album which came out in 2018. (TVXQ has been a duo since 2010 -- longer now than they were a group -- so you have plenty of songs to check out with just the two of them.) Fun fact: You will notice that because there are only two of them, they often swap pieces of clothing -- one will wear the top half of a suit and the other will wear the bottom half. For example, in their MV for "Truth" they do it with orange and black. "Truth" is part of their follow up/repackaged album Chapter No. 2: The Truth of Love. Not all of TVXQ's MVs will have them wearing suits, but TVXQ are SM's senior most group, and like the members of Super Junior, they are now all in their 30s, so suits are part of that more mature adult look that they are going for. TVXQ and Super Junior are both part of the same generation and were trainees together, so they have a similar style and aesthetic when it comes to their MVs. So, just like everything in life, TVXQ's look and style has grown and evolved as they have matured and aged. And with "The Chance of Love" they are supposed to be mature sexy men, so suits go with that theme. You will discover in "Love Line" that that song has a completely different sound and feel to it so they are not wearing suits. :D You might also notice that Super Junior's "Black Suit" has sort of the same sound and feel as TVXQ's "The Chance of Love." Both of these songs came out within a few months of each other and they were both each group's first comeback in celebration of the fact that most/all of their members had been released from the military, and because the groups are so close in age and debut era, etc. they often have similar styles and concepts.

Thanks for the nice reaction. Since you liked 'Chance of love' the most I think you might also really like called 'truth' (their newest korean release as a duo) and 'Something'. They also give of similiar more classy vibes in my opinion. (They rock that concept.) I would also recommend checking out their first song as a duo 'keep your head down' and maybe a live performance since (as many people in the comments already mentioned I think) their vocals are pure gold. And I would also highly recommend checking out some of their solo stuff. (maybe 'Chocolate' and 'Thank u')

I like their songs as a duo better as well, like you said the first part of their career is good for the time when putting the nostalgia aside. I think you'd like their last release, Truth, it has a bit of a Jamiroquai vibe. Love Line (released together with The Chance of Love) is more a golden age NSYNC vibe. Spellbound is very jazzy. Something is heavily based on 30s big band music. Keep Your Head Down (their first song as a duo) is more on the rock/hard side. Before You Go is an RnB ballad. Catch Me and Humanoid are both EDM songs (Humanoid leans more into experimental music while Catch Me is more pop EDM).

Oh ok probably because it's short this time😅 I would be really happy if you react to the choreography that the fans are doing at a visual kei live concert. Because the "choreography" is also a big part of visual kei. If you try to follow them it'll be the best. A band called BabyKingdom did their own choreography videos where they show the fans what to do at the concerts. You might find them easier when you type in " babykingdom 【振付講座】" = furitsuke kouza = choreography course
