Dear Nin, I just wanted to tell you that you did a wonderful job with this video. You are so kind and respectful to this lady. You set a beautiful example for all of us. I’m sorry for all the hate the DissociaDID system gets. You’re all very brave and doing amazing work with your educational videos. You are teaching not just about mental health disorders and how to cope, but also how to be a decent human being that can stand tall under backlash and reproach with dignity and grace. Truly inspiring. Stay safe and stay kind you wonderful people!

@@iamspeed9321 i am not an expert on DID, so i'm talking more about depression here, but i think that self-diagnosing is an important part of someone's healing journey, as it can help them to recognise where they might be struggling. HOWEVER I agree that it isnt a substitute for a professional diagnosis or professional help, and that once you have a self-diagnosis, you should seek out a professional one as that will be more beneficial in your healing journey. e.g. i have self-diagnosed my depression and am now seeking out a professional diagnosis and professional help.

Al Wa yes, she has a video coming out as trans (ftm), but in the video she says the phrase: “do I think I’m transgender? 1000%” “But do I identify as my natural born gender? Yes 1000%” It’s a horrible video, I don’t recommend watching it. But there’s a few commentary videos on it- ImAllex has an amazing one if you’re interested Ironically, in that video, she mentions gender neutral pronouns (they/them) and says that because “they” must mean more than one person (her words not mine), and she doesn’t have multiple personality disorder (did), so she refuses to accept gender neutral pronouns for herself. Which is wrong for so many reasons- namely- that’s not what it means to use gender neutral pronouns lmao. But…here we are a couple of months later with her coming out as someone with DID lol

I have schizoaffective disorder and the way people can act when they find out is absolutely vile. They could have known me for 6 years, I never let them see my symptoms, but as soon as I confide in them and they find out, they say I'm a "monster". That I "don't deserve to live with such thoughts". That I'm "possessed". How am I supposed to find worth in my life when everyone sees me as an animal? My last close relationship ended with me being forced into a car and left alone in a hospital parking lot at 3 in the morning. I'm thrown away like a diseased stray dog. I pray that one day, I'll wake up from all this and it'll be okay- that I'll have a support system. But, people can be so cruel.

I disagree. You should be able to joke about whatever you want, you know, because of Freedom of Speech. Also, people tend to joke about horrible things so they can manage the pain surrounding that horrible thing. Like when someone jokes about 9/11 and you get all pissy and upset and then learn that they lost family members during 9/11 and realize that they joke about their pain in order to manage it.

But if you can offend or hurt people with a joke, don't use the joke in front of them or anyone who will tell them you said that and people could think you are being hateful or making fun. Say whatever you want, just be careful who you say it to.

I have SO much respect for the DissociaDID community. Despite all the trauma that they deal with as influence rs, people with a challenging disorder, and people with rough childhoods, they have been so resilient and been able to help so many people. Having to watch uninformed people like Trisha say such hurtful things must be really hard for them. I do not have DID but still benefit so much from their videos because I now understand more about the disorder. Thank you so much for your presence on KZread!

Being told I was crazy, over and over and over again, almost killed me. It doesn’t matter that I have the diagnosis’s and proof, people still say incredibly hurtful and ignorant things. It takes lives. I wish I could make people understand who don’t have a disorder that can cause issues like this what it feels like to be told that you are crazy. And to start believing you are crazy. To believe you are insane. I can’t express how painful it is.

I don't have DID but I have auditory hallucinations and visual hallucinations ( i rarely get visual hallucinations but I mentioned it because I had one today) and I've been told I'm crazy more times than I can count. Today I saw a woman in my doorway who looked like my mother but was a bit shorter, I told my family, and the only thing they had to say was " You're crazy", family is supposed to help and trust you. Even if it was a joke it hurts really bad, I don't think people understand how hard it is to tell them about things like that. I do not understand what it feels like to have DID, but I know how it feels to be told you're crazy, just know I'm here if you want to talk ❤❤

Trisha is just using DID as an excuse for her bad behavior. "You eat a lot." "No, that's not me. That's my alter." "You're so rude!" "Oh no, that's my alter. Not me." She's very disrespectful and she must be hold accountable for spreading misinformation about DID. DissociaDID and other DID communities are working hard to spread information and to destigmatize DID and here comes Trish, having million of followings, spreading hate and misinformation. She must apologize to DissociDID and all DID community.

I was diagnosed with DPRD but not DID and as someone who depersonalizates multiple times a day… Being called crazy is literally a heart dropper. Because a common side effect (doesnt apply to everyone although common) is feeling anxiety during dissociation because u get a “crazy” like feeling.. u literally feel crazy. Idk if that makes sense and it probably doesnt apply to DID but just wanted to say do not call someone crazy unless u 100% understand, which u never 100% understand unless ur in those exact shoes.

I have never been diagnosed with a dissociative disorder, but pretty sure from what I understand I have dissociated and specifically depersonalized a lot in my older teenage years, while I was just generally struggling with a lot of things. (Mainly undiagnosed and quite severe ADHD, which at this point has been diagnosed by a psychiatrist, as well as resulting depression and anxiety) Absolutely agree on getting that crazy feeling during depersonalization. It felt like I was watching someone else control my body and feel my emotions - not like an alter, but just not feeling fully there or in my body, sometimes for days at the time. I only found out that there is a name for this experience way later, and I don't want to say I had it 100%, since it's been years and I can't quite remember what it felt like, I just remember it being really scary and feeling like I was more of a ghost witnessing things from within.

As a teen with DID it really really hurt when I saw someone call someone with did crazy because it felt like we were crazy, but I'm glad there's people mature such as yourself to help react responsibly, thank you so much

I genuinely cannot comprehend what goes through someone’s mind to attack someone that is just trying to live their live, I get so almost proud, when I see someone staying strong through that. I’m sorry that the dissociaDID system keeps getting attacked. Stay strong even when it’s hard!

Evie Old totally heartbreaking. I really hate people who do things like that. She invalidates so many people and uses her influence for horrible things. I really appreciate Nin and everything that she does.

@@faithmarie1894 I'm terribly sorry that that happened to you. If it helps (it probably doesn't), I myself have struggled with child abuse (I think- I have a hard time not thinking of it as discipline) and I think (I've done research but I'm definitely not a doctor or trained) I have depression and anxiety. And after a while I tried to share it with my "best" friend and mom and was just told everyone feels like this and I can't self diagnose and I'm just like this because of the quarantine. ...its hard. I know how hard it is, especially coming from someone who is supposed to care and listen and support. I'm so, so sorry that you had to be invalided like that and I just want you to know that I'm personally there for you as a supporter. I think I'm just ranting but I love you ok ❤

I really want to give everyone in the DissociaDID System a huge hug (I know we are currently in a pandemic but still). It makes me so upset that people hate on others, just WHY?? Did no one teach you that if you don’t have something nice to say you don’t say it!? I wish people would educate themselves and just be kind. Please don’t spread hate and always be kind.

Even though I don't have DID I legitimately got upset when she said "She's crazy" because it invalidates so much trauma and suffering that people have gone through, I'm so sorry that she made this video, i hope you're okay and that she apologizes soon, hopefully educates herself a bit more :(

Not only does it invalidate trauma and trauma based disorders, but it also invalidates, and is an extremely hurtful derogatory term for, all other mental illness. It's incredibly sad and hurtful that anyone would call another person "crazy", especially as casually as Trish did.
