I feel like the hand shake into controller throw combo really lowers the salt factor. It makes it clear you're not pissed off at your opponent and you're just mad at yourself and the outcome. That's not salt so much as it is disappointment in your own performance.

@Julio Negron-Yslas I don't think it has much to do with etiquette, aside from the fact that most people are actually right-handed and so shake with their right hand. As a lefty, you just adapt to what the majority of people do, I think. The fact that everyone was right-handed at your home (everyone at my home was too except me) just means it was even more obvious for you to adapt to shaking with your right hand, cause they did it too. :) Shaking with my left hand feels so unnatural and weird AF, even though I'm left-handed.. imagine that haha..

I've never played smash, never watched a tournament or understand this game at all but hell these videos got me hooked, watching this guy watch them too makes me laugh even more, earned a sub from me!

That last one, he threw the controller AT his friend, which I'm sure caused a head injury because GameCube controllers are built different, he took the Melee disc, smeared it across the wall so he couldn't play it anymore, AND took his friend's phone and broke it, then left. I'm sure they weren't friends after that, goodness he didn't just ruin his own Melee career, but he took his friend's Melee career down with him.

I did some physics, and came up with an equation that can be used to calculate the force of controller throws. There is a constant in there that is dependent on the type of plastic used in GCN controllers and the hardness of floors which I didn't calculate. I think there will just need to be two versions of that constant, one for carpeted floor and one for harder floors. I just didn't want to run experiements to figure that out rn.
