Rihanna has nothing but bangers. I know people are criticizing this performance, but I think conceptually, it was great, and she did an incredible job. Being pregnant, trying to sing and dance in front of a world stage, half the time on a suspended platform... hats off Rih.

Now I loved her performance but that "performing while being pregnant" is not something to praise it's terrible, Even if she wasn't doing outlandish choreography it was still unhealthy for the baby imo, I would have loved it if she waited till next year after her pregnancy was over so she could give it all

​@@chippyd8208 she was not lip-synching. You could hear her slightly out of breath at times, and you could hear the changes in some of the songs. There was a background track but there has to be, it's a stadium and a lot of these are pop dance tracks.

This is her first performance after 7 years and she is pregnant to and mama still killed it 👑

The truth is that Rihanna has always been a minimalist artist, when it comes to performances, I wasn't expecting a recreation of what we had with Beyoncé or Madonna, in their respective halftime shows. She was authentic to her style of dominating the stage. It was all there, the restrained dancing, the sassy looks, the setlist full of hits. I understand some people's disappointment regarding the performance, but she made it very clear that music is no longer a priority in her life at this point. She does it because she likes it, not because she has to.

Her last tour was also really minimalistic and I’m glad she didn’t invite anyone because she deserved the entire time for her and kuddos to the musical director, it felt like a dj setlist.

Her last tour was referencing to her album title which is ANTI. She took away everything from sound to fashion and visual. She tried something different and something that speaks for itself

Just read in an interview that apparently the stage for this year would’ve had to be like half the size of the others as to not damage the field. Since they couldn’t have a super extravagant set, I think the alternative was really good an impressive. Also, this was a really her performance, she’s never done like crazy dancing or anything, her style is much simpler and clean. Considering it seems she found out about her pregnancy after saying yes to the Super Bowl, she did amazing ❤ Also, since so many people have always tried to discredit her success for being in Roc Nation and with Jay z around, I‘m really happy she did this on her own!!

That was fabulous extravagance in its mininmalist brilliance….They had to work with her pregnancy and the fatigue that comes with being pregnant. Whoever helped her choreograph the show ….and to bring this gorgeous simplicity to life … damn that was soo good. Anyone that doesnt admit how good this was is just jealous, so STFU! BRAVO Ri💃🏽👏🏾

I really don’t think her style is simple, she is an amazing dancer, and she has performances in which she kills it! Her style and fashion are not at all simple, as far as I am concerned, however, it was a minimalist performance, and gave and excellent show without being extra, cause her style, personality, and energy, is so unique and highlighting. I agree that this was a very Rihanna performance, and that’s why I loved it so much, she really gave what she is, and gave a not necessarily extravagant show, but an original and authentic performance. The platforms were really creative and dope tho

Rihanna has always been, probably will always be, cool. She brought out hit after hit she couldn't even fit them all! Just enough to make us thirst for more. What a performer. What a catalogue of pop era-definers. WOW !!!!

Bit disappointed by some of the comments about there being no appearances by Kanye or Jay Z. A woman does not need a man to prop up her performance. Rihanna makes those songs and this performance is all about her.

Rihanna’s always been ‘too cool for school’, she never wants to look like she’s trying too hard. She just gonna be up there coolin, give you a cute vocal a two step a likkle whine and then dip. I’ve been to her tours, that’s always been her performance style, she not a technician on stage in the way that Michael or Janet Jackson were/are. She’s always had a performance persona that she’s “too cool to care”. She literally paused mid-performance to do her make up. 😅That’s just the Rihanna persona. She’s was never gonna be running around huffing and puffing.

I'm so impressed. Enjoyed this tremendously, and I could care less about the Super Bowl and it's halftime shenanigans. Rihanna raised the bar,. I don't know how her peers can top this. So much subtlety, yet was powerful. HER HITS!! This catalog is nothing les than flawless. The choreography , THE SET!!!!!!!!! Her tribute to Andre Leon Talley in that red cape, while singing "Diamonds" was superb!!! I'd give this easily a 100. 🤗💎💎

Wow as an American I never stopped and thought how extra the Super Bowl really is. You kept pointing out how this incredible performance is at a sport game lol.

I'm not a big Rihanna fan but she has a great voice and great songs. This performance was super dope. The fact that she's pregnant and doing all this is incredible. On top of that, all the choreography and remixes to her hits were nothing short of amazing.

I loved it for what it was. Amazing design, choreography and stage presence from Riri. I almost just want her to come back to do more halftime shows with the rest of her hits. I'm hungry for a show that displays her true versatility and also her collaborations. Ye, Jay, Chris Martin, Eminem, and so on. Still, I very much enjoyed her performance here. Welcome back Rih! Really enjoyed this.. even more incredible that she has performed like this while being pregnant... also not sure if you have ever seen prince's half time superbowl show but you need to even if it is off camera.. for me it is the best superbowl half time show of all time

This was the first halftime show I was actually interested in watching. Rihanna has been in my top 5 since her debut. She did not disappoint! Her catalog is insane and memorable, the dancing was simple but effective, and whether or not she was singing live or not doesn't matter because it was still sonically impressive. Rihanna is a once in a lifetime artist and performer. This performance will forever be one of my favorites. She's just the epitome of confidence and stage presence.

As far as how it ranks for half time shows, I can stop watching her performance, over and over again. And then I watch other people watch it over and over again. I cant' get enough of it. The visuals for Diamonds is so epic it brings tears to my eyes, and I'm not the only one who has had an emotional reaction to it. There is no other performance that gave me the feels like Riri, so for me she is the goat.

Last year I was certain that nothing would ever surpass the performance of hip-hop legends, but now I have my doubts. I have watched Rihanna's performance about 10 times already and with each playback, I like it more and more. It was an incredible show.

I put this in the top three of all time. That performance was very good, and the staging and design were stellar. The dancers where dancing to perfection. I didn't see any mistakes. So yeah, she killed it. The songs she selected from her catalog were the perfect fit. 5 out of 5 stars!

To me, that was the greatest SB performance ever! She did it alone. No "special guests". The entire seamless choreo was so cool and epic. Her voice was top notch. Sorry but this was better than the Hip Hop one, Beyonce, Michael Jackson, Madonna, and Prince. It just was. The production should win whatever award it can or all of them. Her music catalog is way better than Beyonce, Katy Perry, or even Adele.
