This scene was by far the sweetest if not the most romantic of the whole show-it was so soft and tender and you can see how Colin’s surprise as he experiences for the first time actual emotions through this mere kiss with Pen, which clearly contrasts with the primal carnal moments he shared earlier with sex workers in the brothel- Having read the book, this scene is very much faithful and capture the shift…now the downbadism is about to begin! I can’t wait to watch your reactions to the carriage and mirror scenes. WE’RE IN FOR A TREAT!

Colin is someone she trust, the only man she trust to ask a kiss because she never had and though would never have. But it's also because this is a letting go of her hopes for him. She's giving up hope of him loving her, so she wants just this. But he felt something, he realised that he actually do feel something when he kissed her.

Ok you chewed this, because it definitely showed up as this. After they kissed she released those fantasies, almost transferred them to him lol loved seeing the switch of him now being the one fantasizing and dreaming of Pen and her no longer pinning so badly.

Their first kiss was everything you want to see or have in a first kiss. It was tender, sweet, romantic and had such a connection for the two of them. Having that foundation of friendship growing into more is such a beautiful relationship to see.
