I would have dropped Grealish but for Rashford. We need that pace on the left. Who is starting at left attack? Bowen? But as You say I don’t understand the decisions in defence. Branthwaite and even Tomori would be in my squad. I also think we need 9 defenders in case of injuries and disqualifications. Rather than Toney and Watkins.

I think grealish probably would have got in over Rashford for me, but I think it’ll be foden on the left or potentially Eze or Gordon - leaving out Branthwaite in favour of Toney / Watkins like you say to me is madness

Gomez was great at left back for Liverpool

Problem with our team is its oversaturated in certain positions. Players like eze will only be bench players while we have potentially dunk at cb . Dont think guehi is locked at all. Toney shouldn't be there and maddison should or Branthwaite. On top of that stones has dropped multiple stinkers in the few games he has played as the left sided centre half

Grealish would have been vital against the better teams later on in the tournament as he carries the ball and keeps possession and brings others into play, plus there is only Anthony Gordon on that side.
