Her and Yonghwa (CNBlue) were one of the most loved couples in the entire WGM franchise bc of how sweet and at ease they grew to be. Yonghwa wrote the Banmal Song for her bc she was unable to speak casually to anyone and used formalities even to her fellow members + him as her "husband". He actually was the one who helped teach her guitar during the show! If ever you get a chance in the future I recommend you check out his group too, they were one of the original Kbands to be widely accepted in the Kpop sphere & are super talented. :)

Finally! you underestimated her but we can't blame you, sadly everyone does :( For her solo, Seohyun went for a sound and image that would show people she's more than just the cute and innocent maknae. A girl and guitar/piano thing would probably have charted better bc that's what korea probably wanted from her but she did what she wanted to do and we respect her for that! Would be interesting to see what she does for a second solo but unfortunately she's completely focused on acting rn.

But anyway, as a YongSeo shipper for like 10 years already, Banmal Song still hits different. Yonghwa wrote and produced the song for Seohyun. That clip you just watched from the Japan Concert was the last time YongSeo performed it. Yonghwa sang this song again at the latter part of 2019, during his concert. And he said it was a song that he treasured so much. I miss them. I miss Seohyun’s music, I miss SOSHI. Ps: YongHwa was the one who taught Seohyun how to play the guitar. Brb, crying.

Seohyun actually writes songs but many of them are rejected by SM. But she is really good as always.

Dont Say No was like Seohyun's way of breaking out from the pure maknae image she has in SNSD. What's more amazing is that she wrote 5 of 6 songs in that album! Yonghwa (vocalist and guitarist of CNBLUE), the guy he was married to on the show, taught her how to play the guitar. ❤ (And yes, Seohyun is one of the best English speakers among kpop idols) He composed banmal (informal language) song as a gift/request for Seohyun who was having a hard time dropping the formal language with him. They wrote the lyrics together so it was really meaningful (you can Google the translations if you're interested haha!) They were one of the most loved couples in We Got Married and this Niigata show was their first official performance after leaving the show. A lot of fans still follow them until now (it has been 11 years!) They're amazing both together and as individuals. All these performances are so underrated! Seohyun and Yonghwa were also a "couple" in We Got Married thats why they came up with the banmal song, till today one of my favourites on the show!

the banmal (korean informal language) song was made by the guy (yonghwa) because seohyun was incapable of speaking informally to others. and he found it cute lol. seohyun did a live medly of spring songs including iu's blueming completely live so you might want to check that out! same! I love all girls' stuff but Seohyun's debut song and all songs just my style 🤩 so catchy, such a bop. I'm fan of Ariana Grande's songs and Seohyun's style of singing and "Dont say no" gives me Ariana vibe (something Ari would sing lol) I wish Seohyun could do at least 1-2 more comebacks like this before she left SM 😣😭miss her sm as a singer

Yes finally a Seohyun reaction! No words can describe how much I'm in love with her solo debut. I love Don't Say No so much. I hope you can react to her b-sides as well. I personally love Bad Love. ♥️

She came out of her shell a lot as time went by, but she used to not stand out very much when among the other, more outgoing members of SNSD. I remember anti-fans saying she was just boring and part of the background. Once I started noticing her after getting to know SNSD, the thing that I realized about her was how reliable she is. She's not main vocal, she's not main dancer, she's not the face of the group, but she's just so solid in every area. When it's her turn in the spotlight you know she's gonna do well, no matter what the concept is or how hard the performance. And she's always improving herself. I admire her diligence and self-discipline a lot.

She's really the golden maknae and the pride of SNSD. Her unnies also said that she's their pride.

Even though this is a Seohyun appreciation video, i wanted to recomend you to listen to Yonghwa (the guy from Banmal Song). He has such a beautiful voice and was one of the first idol-songwriters. You can either check his solo career or his band CNBLUE. Fun fact: Seohyun learned to play guitar thanks to Yonghwa through We Got Married and he even gifted her a pink guitar for her to continue learning it when they got "divorced".

Same as Yuri, Seohyun decided to focus in her new career which is acting. She never release another solo after her mini album. I wish she release new songs soon... We can't blame her though... She's been singing since teenager until now. She want to explore new paths...

Seohyun has always been the harmony queen in SNSD :D Also, that's Yonghwa, the main singer of CN Blue, one of the most popular Korean bands under FNC Entertainment that debuted in 2010 and even made a comeback last year ;0 Seohyun's been active as an actress ever since leaving SM, so uh, if you want her to make more solo music you have to tell her that XD

Seohyun is one of the passionate person in SNSD. She was so shy and innocent back then, but later she wanted to break that image. She wanted to try other things (maybe she is tired of 10 years being a maknae in a cute-concept SNSD 😆). Seohyun in banmal song is a shy Seobaby, a good girl who always listened to her company. Later on in 2014 she shocked everyone in her "Adrenaline" performance with TTS, and also in "You Think". The girls actually wanted sexy concept so bad (that's why they hated Gee 😆). Seohyun finally debuting with the concept she wanted to do, as Seolady. And now she is following her other passion in acting. Seo is usually taking part in harmonizing. Many times I though some harmonies in SNSD songs are backtracks, but it turned out Seohyun who did that. (you can watch The Boys in David Letterman show, she was covering Taeyeon while Taeyeon was taking higher harmony). She really respect her unnies, she always step back not to outshine her unnies (especially Taeyeon and Tiffany) We are patiently waiting for Seo to join her unnies in the next SNSD comeback, whatever the concept is. 🥺🥺🥺

Seohyun starred in a variety show program called 'We Got Married' wherein you need to show your marriage life with your on screen husband/wife including your first meeting, choosing each other's rings, wedding, finding a house, meeting with in laws etc. Yonghwa is the vocalist & leader of a kpop band CNBlue, and Banmal Song is about their story, they both worked hard writing this song. Even though Yonghwa said to Seohyun that she didn't need to speak formally to him, Seohyun is having a hard time about it because for how many years she lived with Girls Generation including their trainee days, she hasn't speak banmal to them. It became her habit that if someone is older than her she will not speak informally with them. Yonghwa also revealed that he wrote a song long time ago called 'Love Light' and everytime he thought of Seohyun, he started to put lyrics on the song. In the rap part, he thought of SNSD's Genie and the lyrics became 'I'm genie for you girl'. Yonghwa taught Seohyun how to play a guitar and he brought 2 guitars for Seohyun. I remember that 1 ep where Yonghwa is jealous because Seohyun is asking her sunbaenims (seniors) male sunbaenims how to play a guitar because she wanted to play a guitar for him and sing the song he wrote about her. Romantic Fantasy, the show from the speak now performance, is an SNSD tv special. Girls generation has at least 2 full hour tv specials and they are both amanzing. Their Christmas special is my favorite

Honestly I am so damn ready for a Seohyun musical comeback. Her voice is so beautiful and is the most beautiful voice out of the members I think anyway.. I think you should react to some tts videos - whisper and adrenaline live (the one in black leather)

Seohyun's solo is my favorite because I love that type of music. She's the reason why I got into Mamamoo. She covered Mamamoo's song "You're the Best" on masked singer and did such an amazing job that I had to check out the original since the vocals looked challenging and thus me loving Mamamoo because of Seohyun! I'm sad she hasnt released another solo song or anymore of her written songs because they're pretty good. She helped write "One Last Time" from their holiday album and it's the best song on that album or top 3. If you do YoonA next, -When the Wind Blows (soft vocals) -Deoksugung Stonewall Walkway (it's duet but she has great vocals) HOWEVER, in my opinion, she shows a lot more of her vocals and potential when she sings in Chinese and highly recommend the covers and songs she sings in Chinese (she's very fluent and has more confidence singing in Chinese than Korean suprisingly) -Red Bean -A Little Happiness -The Moon Represents my Heart YoonA was always looked as the "pretty face" and criticized harshly for her vocals. Since she got criticized, she lost a lot of confidence in singing that she preferred having less parts, but in their concerts, the other girls would encourage her to sing solo parts while talking to the fans. Taeyeon has also cherished YoonA many times and been supported. Taeyeon actually loves her aegyo, which shows how close all the girls are to each other. Overall, YoonA is my bias and highly recommend her Chinese covers.

She sounds the softest in banmal because she was little there , like just 20 and it was the first and only time they sang together after their divorce from their fake marriage.. there was a lot of hate and hurt so they couldnt remain as friends publicly due to shipping fan wars. She didnt want to go with the guitar, soft image for her solo because people just treat her as a baby maknae and prude and she wanted to expand her horizonts to receive more mature opportunities, also because every time they see her playing guitar they jump at the Yonghwa badwagon because he taught her how to play and their whole thing was like freakishly cute and akward and innocent but magical so people got a bit obsessed and while shipping is cute, things got a bit heavy and dark when SM started promoting her with her other big ship Seokyu and some fans wanted Yonghwa with actress Park Shin Hye and obviously some others just wanted alone so their interactions on screen are rare and short but aside from GG , i think he is the one that harmonizes better with her, they just sang a lot together, learn, failed a lot while trying to do stuff like cooking, skiing, going on trips , played instruments and hang out a lot instead of faking romantic feelings from day 1 so people liked it.

8:46 yessss if i didnt rmb wrongly they did not get to rehearse tgt at all before the actual stage, they mentioned it in the behind scenes. it was quite surprising how'd u caught that. as the song was composed and written fully by yonghwa (cnblue) they decided that it will be released as his solo instead of the duet they did in the show. this version is the released solo ver titled for first-time lovers (banmal song), it does not have the same lyrics as the one in the show as it was rewritten for the release. mbc had taken down the original youtube video that the both of them uploaded, when they did all the fans were raging. the original ver had seohyun's written lyrics in it as well, in the show during the last ep she had rewritten the lyrics to surprise him, she used full banmal (informal) words too, she also did tell him to take note and listen to the lyrics carefully. all the versions though same, had different but similar vibes to them, just thinking how much a difference lyrics can be to a song. sorry im just rambling on abt my old love
