They both did a fantastic job. I have to agree though, if you threw Liam in the RB20 I would expect good points even in at short notice because these drivers are that talented and can adapt fast. So scoring points and being pretty consistent in his 5 races for Alpha Tauri was even more impressive because that car really never had the pace to guarantee points.

I've returned to following F1 mid-2021 after many decades, so lots of catching up to do also on technical stuff which | probably never will fully grasp. Seems to me that it's high time for some drivers to move on to different aspects of Life and make place for the new generation! Bearman did quite well and he is so promising and commend him for how he fared in Jeddah, but same goes for Liam the least when I think back on 2023! I really want him in a F1 seat soon. Perhaps a bit early for Antonelli but what about Drugovich?? Yes, some oldies should leave and make place for the youngsters! just my 2 bits. Greets from Amsterdam

As someone who has had keyhole surgery to remove my appendix I can say that healing time is situational and environmental and different for all types of humans. If you are a top of the line athlete who has the top of the line medical care and then has all the support behind them when healing you will find that your healing time is greatly reduced compared to someone who has none of the previous mentioned. Someone who has a weak core to begin with, will take a LOT longer to heal than someone who has an F1 trained core holding them up. .... just sayin....

The recovery time for Appendicitis surgery varies with depending on if the patients appendix bursts or not. Key hole surgery is used for patients with an inflamed appendix therefore it’s a short recover period. (Both Alex and Carlos had this surgery) If the appendix bursts open, the chance of septicaemia spreading increase by the hour. Key hole surgery can be used to remove and clean organs within the stomach with a moderate 2-3 weeks recovery time (I had this surgery when my appendix burst right before the surgery). If the bacteria has spread over the organs and signs of septicaemia is greater, doctors are forced to open the abdomen of the patient and clean the organs to prevent organ failure. This has a longer recovery period due to intense procedure.

I had been following Liam for a couple of years in F2 and then his Super Formula season which was quite spectacular so I wasn't in the least bit surprised by the level he showed in F1 last year in arguably one of the slowest cars on the grid. Look we all know Ricciardo has a massive leg up because of his personality and advertising and I actually really like Ricciardo's personality.. But I feel like that's Liams seat and he's in the way.. I felt the same when they gave the seat to De Vries.. Like come on guys, you invest in these young drivers and are now suddenly scared to give them a full time seat.

Like to see Liam in the seat of Yuki or Daniel. And in the points. Liam made a better debut and far more impressive then Bearman.

How cool is Liam Lawson......... will be interesting to see if Ricciardo has races like the 1st 2 this season how long he lasts. Unless Danny Ric has a LOT better races he'll be gone well before mid season break.

Recently, the comment section has changed to Tsunoda and Lawson. Ricardo and Lawson until a month ago. I've always thought Ricardo was slow.
