Igor Krutoy, a Russian billionaire, maestro, producer and composer came out of retirement to work with Dimash. He composed this song for Dimash. The Singer in 2017 in which Dimash was invited to attend. He was the youngest and only non-Chinese so he had to go first to open the season with SOS. He has always enjoyed music from singers around the world. He didn’t speak French, mandarin, English during that competition and he said during an interview that when he entered that contest, it was the first time he had ever sung on the “adult stage”. He’s done many Covers. Lionel Ritchie and Vita’s had him sign a cease and desist letter so he can no longer perform Opera 2 or Hello. It’s a shame because Dimash is a very humble young man and only showed his interest and love in doing covers of some of his favorite singers. SOS was sung by Lara Fabian who has deeply embraced Dimash. They even did a trio because Igor Krutoy worked with Lara Fabian too. I love her. Dimash takes nothing from how she delivered the song. He always keeps mainly the first part of all of his Cover’s like the original singer. Don’t know or care what Vita’s and Lionel Ritchie’s problem are. I never heard of Vita but certainly heard of Lionel and there are only a couple of his songs that I really cared for. We are in the 21st century and young people are just not interested in the 70’s, 80’s, and some 90’s music. Dimash brings music for his generation although he is love and appreciated by people of all ages. I am 65 and love what he gives to his fans. His favorite idol is Michael Jackson. I was never a Michael Jackson fan but to each there own. Dimash walked on the adult stage at age 22. He is 28 now. His little brother is one of his translators. Dimash doesn’t just sing a song in a different language, he actually knows what he is singing. 2017 was just the beginning. Dimash works hard. He swims for breath control. He practices at least 3 hours a day every day since age 5. Just like any sport you have to put in the work and dedication to achieve your goals. I am sure it hasn’t been easy but he delivers every time. His grandmother does not want him kissing or having the provocative dancers around him. He has the ultimate respect for his family, Igor, who I believe heard him live for the first time when he sang Sinful Passion. Igor is standing and clapping in the audience. They are inseparable now. Igor knows what to write and compose for Dimash. Work hard, strive for perfection and you will reach your goals. I bet all of the Chinese singers who participated in the 2017 The Singer are still singing in China although Dimash has invited a couple to sing at his solo concerts.
