Gerbara is the best song and Ame no Orchestra.

in japan we usually say it more like MOOK. they're such a good band and I'm going to their 20th anniversary concert next month. also fun fact: they're basically girugamesh's "big brothers". they were friends and mentors to girugamesh all through their career. and they often played together

It's pronounced more like "mook". The Japanese is ムック and ク is basically "ku" but in some cases it isn't fully pronounced. Great reaction video. I'd also suggest you listen to the song "Ageha" or "libra" which are more towards their middle era

This pronunciation is correct. When talking to fellow not-into-j-music (or even into-j-music) non-japanese people, saying it like "mook" is the most correct. :D

You cam say mucc or mukku, the last one is the japanese pronunciation the name is ムック the first letter is the katakana "letter" 「mu」 and the third is the katakana "letter" 「ku」 (the middle one is to make large the sound of the "k" then.. the name in japanese pronunciation will be Mukku..) But you can say both mucc or mukku :) both are correct ;) thanks to react to Mucc this is an amazing band

Second song calls "Zetsubou" what in english means "Despair". That's why the plot of music video is so dark and hopeless.

Omg yesh, I love MUCC I don't know why but I got this special feeling from their music. They enchanted me right from that moment I heard the first song back then. In 2015 I finally saw them live in Berlin (yuup I cried, like a real fangurl) and bc I didn't wanted to go alone with my mom I went with my childhood friend, who normally listens to that mainstream stuff from Justin Bieber and Co and even now, 2 years after the concert she's thanking me for taking her with me. She says it's still her best live performance experience (even better than JB). That aside my mam is a fan of MUCC too since I've started listening to them aaaand her boyfriend as well. So I don't now any person who doesn't like them. xD

Tatsurou (MUCC's vocal) is very close to hyde (L'Arc~en~Ciel's vocal) and ken (L'Arc~en~Ciel's guitar) produced some singles and MUCC's new album (released in January).

I found MUCC (pronounced "Moo-k') about ten years ago and still consider them to be my favourite band. If they came to Canada I'd be there in a flash, but the song that really got me hooked on them was "FUZZ" I swear you've never heard anything like it. Seeing these guys in concert is definitely on my bucket list

Their are 'MU-KU' Went to their lives a few times in Japan. Their fans head Bang like an army. And 80% of them are girls. I was amazed. Vocal's voice is super stable and super loud.

I saw them live and it was like the best show ever! That's one of these bands that sound even better live than on the albums! I heard the band pronouncing their name "muh-kuh".

"Zetsubou" is from their secondfull length album from back in 2002, so that's why it has such a late '90s vibe (they were heavily influenced by Korn back then). Also, "zetsubou" means "despair" hence the depressing video!

Tatsu does have an amazing voice. You really should check their back log as they change sounds quite frequently. They like to experiment a lot, and that is 1 reason they are my favorite band! So glad you finally got to hear them!!

Jpop Reviews Most Japanese speakers often drop the vowel at the end of a word because they speak so fast. MUCC is one of the more difficult names to explain how to pronounce. It's pretty much "mook", except shorten the "oo" part so it's less like "moon" and more like "look."

you can call them with both mucc or mukku. because their Japanese signs are called mukku. but when they got popular world wide they write the name mucc. they are some funny guys and they called the 20 th anniversary : mucc x mukku :) I am a fan for a long time and was in 3 concerts. they are amazing. last year they made the new opening for seven deadly sins and the name ist "classic" but you really need to listen the song libra ! it's so awesome :D

I saw these guys live 9 years ago. Excited to say I will be seeing them at Kishidan Banpaku (in Chiba) in September! They're great liveee! When I saw them last time, it was in Detroit with Atreyu and A7X, and Yukke (g) came out and played a song with Atreyu. A++

One of my favourite bands. Nirvana was just a perfect opening for InuxBoku and it's how I discovered Mucc.

You should see them live! Best Live I`ve ever been

This is probably the 5th or 6th time I've watched you react to Mucc. I wish I could show people your reaction, in order to explain these bands.

I love Mucc, the song that got me into them was Saishuu Ressha with my favorite album being Kuchiki no Tou. I love Tatsurou's voice compared to most other Japanese rock bands and can't wait to buy Myakuhaku since I don't have iTunes. Other Mucc songs I love from varying sub-genres would be Oboreru Sakana, Kare Ga Shinda Hi and Fuzz.

For me it's the best band ever. I'm listening to music from early 90's and I like maybe 200 artists (like = I got at least few albums). But when i heard Mucc 10 years ago, they were my first japanese band. I tried many more and I like many more but they are still the best. I could pick some of my favourite songs but... it will be too many. You will find your favourites, enjoy looking for them.

Mook. Straight from the vocalist's mouth in 2007. :) I lived in their hometown for 2 years and hardly anybody I'd met there had heard of them, so don't feel bad.

I still love watching your reaction.... I felt the exact same way the first time I heard Mucc. You need to react to Heide... it's amazing!

If you like those older bands I really recommend checking out Plastic Tree. They're masters of melancholy and also one of the "important" bands from back then. Also they're still active!

I wonder if he ever read a translation of Zetsubou. It would be cool if he did that with some songs and reacted to them, too.

Ryan, I think I love you! It is MooKu .You should also check out their non-music videos. These boys have SO much fun together! Unfortunatly, they rarely play outside of Japan. There might be some euro/us concerts this year as it is an anniversary year for them.

Ahhh Mucc... I have so much love for this band. You should check out some of their older stuff like Ame no Orchestra, Ageha, Saishuu Ressha, Ware Arubeki Basho (my favourite song actually), Fuzz, etc. Also, I sEE YOU WITH THE OOK SHIRT AHAHA You should give A9 (formerly known as Alice Nine) and ExistTrace (all-girl vkei band). I could recommend soooooooo many. I've been listening to vkei for quite a while now :D

holy shit... I didn't know this band oO I literally stopped after a 5 seconds in the first song and listened to it because it's fucking awesome! Thanks everyone for recommending this group! btw... ムック is pronounced like "mook" but the oo is short and the u and the end is silent oder very shortened... I never know how to explain japanese words to english natives because your pronunciation is completely different from ours! XD romanized it's "mukku"
