I still dont understand why people feel underwhelmed by Pure XS. Some people on fragrantica call it boring but its great as a coca-cola boozy fragrance. I personally hate wearing overly sweet scents but this one has just enough of sweetness. So its both pleasing to wear but still pleasing to women.

i felt this vid by Sandra was one where she gave some alternatives rather than the ones that is regularly rolled out. I know she really well recommends DHI as one the best of all time over VUI. I too gave the comment that Prada LHI is my choice over VUI. Similarly if I recall Sandra voted for code absolu as the best in the line over code profumo?

Pure XS is soo good, you should have another smell. I bought it the other day after going in stores to smell 3 times. First time was on skin - I loved it, then went back in to smell again. Tried on paper the 2nd time and hated it. But tried a 3rd time and decided to buy. Opens up really sweet, but quickly dries down into a warm and comforting scent. lasts really long but stays close to skin. is a good balance between freshness, sweetness and warmth - somehow!

Parfums de Marly's Godolphin is a very wearable leather fragrance. Some might say it's a clone of Tuscan Leather. Unfortunately I haven't had the chance to smell Tuscan Leather yet.

I just blind bought a 150ml bottle of Gucci guilty absolute yesterday (it hasn'tbeen delivered yet), living on the edge! I love leather and I really enjoy Encre Noire, Encre Noire A L'Extreme, Bentley For Men Intense and Fahrenheit so I hoping for the best. I got it for 68 gbp.

@tedebaer1, we seem to have similar tastes. I have Gucci Guilty Absolute, Bentley for Men Intense and Encre Noir A L'Extreme. I love all three. I hope that your blind buy goes well! GGA is dark, dry, serious with no sweetness. If that's up your alley, you will enjoy it.

@larrymorris277 I listened to many descriptions from alot of reviewers and it sounds very much like something I would enjoy. I started my fragrance journey march this year and I began with a few compliment getters. I soon realised after purchasing some more challenging fragrances that they were more interesting and those I wear for me at home. I have always felt a bit bummed out that gasoline is dangerous to sniff because that is one of my favourite scents 😁

Pure xs is very underrated and I think it’s a hidden gem

I have both Code Absolu and Code Absolu Gold. They are very similar to each other to the point some may find it redundant to own both. The original Code Absolu is more leathery and powdery in a vanillic way, while Absolu Gold has a prominent irisy powdery smell with saffron note. I personally prefer the original one, but I’ve found more women are drawn to the Absolu Gold flanker

DG The One set the vibe for what a sexy fragrance is to me. Love the note breakdown. EDP is obviously the way to go.

I don't really follow that chanel, they are the type of reviewers that love everything and pretty much talk about the same fragrances over and over again

Powdery notes are the opposite of sexy to me, especially if it’s from Iris/Orris. It smells like diapers and baby wipes, or old makeup bags.

I agree with you! Ive owned pure XS for over a year and im not impressed with it! Ive only worn it like 3 times! Its ok ish

That Gucci guilty is pretty different. When I first got it I thought it smelt like a hospital but now it smells like a really old leather jacket

I think Valentino UOMO intense is actually better than DHI when it comes to date situations

I sampled VUI against DHI multiple times and everybody i spoke to preferred VUI. Guess I'll save a few bucks

I actually hate the note of leather but i must say women do love it but the furthest I’ll go with leather for my nose is CH Man .. that’s perfect but as great as the CH MAN Privè is that’s too much leather for me and i don’t like Ombré Leather either even tho it’s a great fragrance..

L’Homme Ideal Eau de Parfum Guerlain looks more like a cherry coke ish fragrance not the Extreme.

Bruh I ordered Viktor & Rolf Spicebomb Extreme online but I’ve heard a lot of complaints that Viktor & Rolf fragrances tend to leak a lot when shipped online. Is that smth to be concerned about? I’m kinda scared now. Mine is coming in tomorrow

Gucci Guilty Absolute has little sex appeal but it is very pungent in a masculine way. It is the Fahrenheit of our generation. Leathery, woody, dry and medicinal.
