For "Memoria", the theme is quite clearly about the mutual dependency and support for each other. In the MV, each member was portrayed in two states: one awake and one asleep (or in a dream). During the awake state, we see how each member struggled with a desire/need: Sowon - Oragami crane Umji - Moon SinB - Wings Eunha - Two-color eyes Yerin - Sparkling dust on her knees Yuju - constellation During their dream state, one member helps another for their wish/need: SinB brings the Oragami crane for Sowon Sowon comforts Umji as she holds on to the moon-shaped pillow Yerin places a flower on Eunha's eye Yuju blows off the dust for Yerin Umji draws the constellation on Yuju's arm. Waking up after the dream, each member remembers the dream and runs to the roof for their reunion with each other. Each girl's presence completes the circle for their sisterhood. I love all Gfriend's MVs but in terms of its emotional impact and intended purpose, the MV of "Memoria" captures the spirit of friendship, the core message of Gfriend, so beautifully and effectively that I always rate "Memoria" as my favorite MV for Gfriend. Please excuse my extra enthusiasm for "Memoria". I just can't help myself when I see it.

GFRIEND is the only girl group that gives me emotion and happiness. Their musicality and talent are a blessing to K-pop and BUDDY.

It's EXTREMELY underrated. The chorus melody is so beautifully composed that it just makes me wanna tear up every time I listen to it.

fyi, memoria story is about their memory during debut till now . -Sowon papercraft means her father passed away when she was promoted sunny summer. - yerin's glitter in her knee means she got injured in her knee. -eunha's eyes means when she got eye infection during time for the moon night promotion. - yuju's hand with tattoo means she got hand injured when debut, you can check the video when she was practice vocal (mermaid cover) -sinb's wing means she got hand dislocated. -umji's moon sign means when she got bullied from haters bcs of her visual during navillera era, but actually she is pretty like a moon. And they always ended up together, caring each other so they become Gfriend we know now.

The crane carries the soul of the dead to heaven in mythology hence why Sowon had a paper crane in her hand. SinB has a problem with dislocating her shoulder and has even done that on stage. Also she is known for being savage when her real personality is as sweet as an angel to those who really know her.

Ohhhh the Gfriend japanese releases are top tier, I'm glad you reacted to those! Memoria has a very beautiful story, since you can see the girls helping one another with their "struggle", and there are theories that explain those are presumably based on real life events (Yuju's injured arm with the tattoo, Sowon with the origamis because her father passed away two months before, Eunha with the different eye color related to her eye infection, SinB with the wings could be associated to her dislocated shoulder, Yerin and the glitter I think it was a knee or leg injury, Umji with the moon representing beauty and the criticism against her looks). It's a theory though, but it kinda makes sense and I've read many times. But above all it's about them supporting each other and being better together. If it says Flower is 3rd single it's probably because Me Gustas Tú japanese ver. is the first one. Also, I think the distinction you made between Yerin and Yuju is actually pretty accurate hahaha Yerin has a rounder and cuter face with a playful and sunshine vibes, while Yuju has a larger and more elegant face with more sensual and sophisticated vibes. And yeah, they both have a mole above the eye, but Yerin has another one in the cheek, it's just she removed it for some videos. And as you said, Yuju has the most mature and deepest voice in the group, she's known as one of the best vocalists in the industry too. Fallin' Light is a masterpiece, and the elegant vibes on it, both musically and aesthetically, are just *chef kiss*, everything is gorgeous. Also, the title in Japanese means "angel's ladder" and it refers to the light that shines through the clouds, you know, when it's rays of sun coming though and it looks like the angels are coming down. The lyrics are super poetic and beautiful too. Their japanese tracks are amazing, La Pam Pam and My My My! are also incredible (they're bsides). Thanks for this Gfriend journey, it makes me so nostalgic and happy at the same time

Yuju's solo releases would be a great watch too if you are interested. For title tracks, she released 놀이(Play) as her debut, Without U, then 따라랏(DALALA). And maybe 이브닝 (Feat. BIG Naughty) also. I believe its a single release.

this video literally brought me back in time I still remember the day memoria came out and we all were so crazy over it we were trying to find theories and everything ughhh I miss them so much

in Memoria, Sowon holding a white bird paper, represent hope and healing for her while she was in a state of griefing for the loss of her father (as long as i remember, it was around Memoria release) . Eunha's eye represent her struggling with eye infection. Sinb's wing represent her shoulder injury. . While for yuju, yerin and umji, I'm not quite sure. But, for my POV, they included their real life struggle in the MV and just like in MV, one member will cheer and help other member weakness so they can stand together just like the ending of the MV. Memoria was one of the best MV that has strong message that maybe only buddy could understand. It was so deep and personal. While Flower was the experimental song, but turns out good. And Falling Light was the best instrument and choreo. Sadly said, only Falling Light didn't have the Korean ver. while Memoria and Flower has its own. 😢

I remember memoria was my second comeback with gfriend, it came out when I was at school so I tried to check it out in the library but there wasn’t any volume xD but actually if memory serves the song came out as a low quality audio a while before the music video and I was recovering from a surgery and was completely bedridden and all I would do was listen to that low quality audio of memoria and it brought me so much comfort and happiness back then ;-; with every reaction you’re bringing out my memories of being a buddy, I’ve forgotten how much I used to love gfriend :(

They have a reality series called Memoria. But there's quite a few more 'boring' episodes. Source was driving them pretty hard that year. Most buddies seem to have "GFRIEND Loves Europe" as their favorite reality series. But it's a bit of a bummer for you, because Umji isn't in it. She was hurt at that time. She does the narration though, and they call her a bunch of time. Absolutely psyched to hear you'll be checking out our soloists too! They tend to get overlooked!

i've been watching ur gfriend reactions lately, and i really enjoy it. you noticed every little details and ur comments are always on point! you've said u loved their sounds so i think you'll also like this one group that i stan, E'LAST E'LAST is a 4th gen 8 member boy group and they're a very different group. they have a musical and orchestral, and gothic like sound which is smthng you can rarely hear now haha. i think they sound just like dreamcatcher or gfriend, but heavier. and just like them, they also don't get much recognition as their concept don't appeal the kpop fans (and this group also came from a small company so). these are their first 4 songs that i think u must check out (arranged in the time they were released) Swear (debut song) Tears of Chaos (they're only 7 members here) Dark Dream (1st comeback as 8 members) Creature i hope u could see and react to their songs. they are also a very talented group. they were really a must watch hshs

The safest reality series to react to is Memoria from 2020/21. But as someone has said, the episodes vary in entertainment value. Some are hilarious but a few centre around a verbal game where non Korean speakers find it hard going despite the subtitles. The best is when they are just being themselves all together or taking part in a game with physical activity. They are split up into a number of mini series with generally 4 or 6 episodes in each but a few later ones are just 2 episodes. Each mini series is centred around a holiday weekend away in various locations in Korea. The first series is really good and funny in all 4 episodes. You can react to those quite safely.

Viviz have a christmas clip called White. If you can, you should react to their japanese album, the bsides are so good. Eunha became really popular after she cutted her hair short in Navillera and became like her mark.
